I love driving these old machines. it actually feels so fast while driving, I drive 40y.o. tractor at home, it can drive only 25Kmph and it feels like flying...:D

What a great barn with lots of potential use it to your advantage
The frame of the barn looks pretty solid. Some new siding or steel would keep it from deteriorating.
I live in a old farmhouse and the barn next to it is build in the same way. We can knock all the walls down and the roof will still be standing

You could just flip those bolts on your blade mount around that way you still have the length to help line it up if you ever pull it off. All you would have to do is pull the top pin of the cylinder to get them in.

Hey that building is worth a good piece of money for that old wood. So if you decide it has to go there is a company I don’t remember the name but I think they were in New York State but somewhere up in the northeast that buy old buildings like that for the old hand built wood. Funny thing is they number everything and build it back only replacing what has to be replaced because people pay a lot of money for those old hand hewn barns. They even turn them into houses I want to say I saw it as a show on Netflix but if I remember I’ll let you know.
Maybe enough money in the old barn to build a smaller barn or another shop or machinery shed? Just food for thought. Have a metal building built maybe?
You need to make a list of projects that you need to do
Example Cutting the bolts off
Anything the planter needs
Anything the plow needs
And so on And so on .
This your living now , no more
weekly pay checks.

I have one of those blades on a JD 4430. My fittings are on top. No problems with the mounting bolts.

That looks like it could be a nice barn....... the biggest question is the roof? It looks rough on the outside but as long as it has always had a good roof on it, its probably savable. cant wait for the full tour of the barn.

I just couldn't handle that snow every winter!.... we haven't had any worth talking about for 5 years thank god.... Frost I can handle.... snow? No thanks.
Actually smart thinking find that mobile taco stand, and get a pallet of beer and then invite all your talented friends over for a weekend work and play event. The expense might get a lot knocked off the initial move in work list, just don’t release the beer too early or Andy the electrician may wire your new shop lights to a switch in the barn. 👍

In the top of barn those are strong beams so a strong electric hoist would allow even palletized stuff up top. & a pallet jack would make great long term storage or seed etc. I had that setup & I could move stuff myself. Even sent stuff up then palletized up there. Also great trivia when you pulled those burdocks off Yenko a guy from 3M took them off his dog & invented Velcro - check Velcro as you’ll see
I like old barns but if you were to disassemble that barn an sell the wood. You'd probably be able to build new in that footprint so it would suit your needs. Hand cut barn beams are valuable.

Call Barn Builders and see what that barn is worth. They pay big $$ for old barns. You may get enough to build something that works better for you.
