This is part 1 of 3 vlogs of my visit to Saudi Arabia with the recent opening of E-Tourist Visa. In the first episode, I flew on Saudia A330 in Business Class from Dubai to Riyadh. A lot of behind the scenes filming from the cockpit, the crew and service delivery on the flight.
Once arrived in Riyadh, I was shown a tour of the city's market, fort, museum and "Edge of the World". Throughout my tour, I seek explanation and the truth to some stereotype conception about Saudi Arabia.
The goal of this trip is to give you a realistic view on tourism in a country that was closed to non-religious travelers. The video does not endorse Saudi Arabia but merely showing my own experience there. My videographer and I were given permission to film on-board Saudia. This was not a paid content by Saudi Arabia. We will explore more aviation and the new Jeddah Terminal in next video.

I live and work in saudi arabia for 20 years, within that span of year, i condsidered saudi as my second home, though no country is perfect , thankfully i haven't had experience any serious trouble working in saudi. As for me saudi is safe and peaceful specially when the Kingdom open its doors to tourism. But sadly, i'm planning to leave saudi for good in the near future and stay in my own country, for sure i will missed saudia especially the food like shawarma, broasted, khabsa and many more, and also the people whom i worked with.

@The ascended one yea you can fund your own religious program and build a church in saudi arabia. In other countries its even more open to people of other faiths. In the united arab emirates there are multiple churches open for christians. I remember my christian art teacher in middle school telling me how grateful she was that she could openly wear religious clothing without scrutiny. Something which isnt even openly implemented in the US (you get called ali baba terrorist).

so many misconceptions touted by western media about SA were pleasantly blown away by this video.
    The sheer beauty is astonishing!.
We in the west may harp on how our societies are supposedly "better", but how many out there who are from western societies can honestly admit they can leave their shop in the middle of the day without worrying about theft & property damage.
I, myself double & triple check that my car door locks and windows are all locked & the house has the front & security doors locked as well as the alarm enabled even to go 5mins down to the shops & if I'm broken into the police couldn't care less, sad but true..
Would love to visit SA someday as if I enjoyed Dubai & the friendliness of total strangers towards tourists & introducing me to mint lemonade, mid east hospitality & safari drives I'm sure I won't be disappointed there.
Bravo to SA & the mid east, god bless you all & thanks Sam for the video!

Saudi arabia has been the victim of media propoganda where they always showed this nation as the "Terrorist" and "Terrorist supporters", People often had a thought that if we will visit saudi arabia we will may face forced conversion, which was a very wrong perception. The people are very friendly, Humble and hospitable. I m basically from Pakistan but grown up in Saudi arabia as my dad came here 47 years ago. @IronCurtainPrepper yeah. They should get their hands cut off unless they are stealing out of extreme need, poverty or hunger( all of whuch are non-existent here). And I don't think the saudi government cut anyone’s hands off in the past 20-25 years, because the tough laws ensures disciplined citizens, and that's what makes ordinary people like us safe in the streets at 3:53AM at night as I am replying to you from medina

Good that you had a guide Sam, it’s really the way to see the country best with a local until the tourism infrastructure develops a bit more. I just returned from Riyadh a month ago today, it’s probably one of my best trips ever. About a year ago I became friends with a Saudi attending school in my home town in Santa Barbara. I promised I’d visit and I did. The stereotype is rubbish, I think KSA is a heck of a lot better than America right now, I wouldn’t even hesitate to move there if I could. It was great exploring with a local! The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. I plan on returning probably within 6 months while my visa is still valid once this virus has relaxed a bit.

Yeah except for their government sponsoring terrorism around the world. I live in the US, and our government is corrupt as hell - the fact that Saudi Arabia beats us at corruption and terrorism (yes, ours absolutely sponsors it too) is quite amazing, really. At least in our country we can ATTEMPT to pull back from our interference in the affairs of other countries. It's going to be near impossible but at least we have a shot. SA is GUARANTEED to always offer only the perception of freedom....the US has a small chance of offering more than perception some day. Small difference to some but to KNOW that you're never free to speak freely? - truly terrifying and sad.
The majority of 9/11 hijackers were from Saudia Arabia. We didn't do anything about that - why? Because we make billions in weapons sales to Saudi Arabia.
