I can't imagine buying fillers online and trying to DIY it at home. 😮 Seriously scary! How desperate does one have to be to trust someone with no training or license to just inject with no knowledge of where they're putting it? I read an article yesterday with a video interview with a young woman who had lip fillers done where she had a very bad allergic reaction causing her lips to swell beyond recognition. She was treated to dissolve the filler but when asked if she would try it again, she answered "yes". 🤦‍♀

Doesn't help that there is implicit societal encouragement to do so.
I have seen plenty of cases where women were treated better after getting a cosmetic treatment so why wouldn't people try to do it and save money? 🤷‍♀️

For some people having a (Botox etc.) "lip flip" is all they need, rather than filler pumped into their lips. The Botox relaxes tight muscles around the lips, exposing more of your hidden inner lips giving a subtle fuller look, without the trout pout or duck face. Dr Dray has spoken about "lip flips" before. Again, go to an experienced reputable injector.

Looking at mascaras, I wanted to buy L'Oreal Paradise but I've seen they have 2 different formulas, one with fragrance and a newer one without 🧐 The problem when buying online is you don't know which one they will send you...
Essence mascaras seem to be fragrance and essential oil free, also alcohol free, and those I checked had a short ingredient list. I think Maybelline also has fragrance free mascaras (maybe not all of them), but quite a long ingredient list.
I don't wear make up but wanted to buy a mascara, I thought it would be a nice touch without embracing the full make up regimen :)
I have straight lashes, so I need some mascara that will lift them up 😄

I got filler years ago, but it didn't make any difference, and I moved on. However, in the last couple of years, reportedly due to an inflammatory reaction to the vaccines, all of the injection sites have swollen into hard, pea-sized nodules. They're not going away, they're growing and getting more painful. It actually hurts to yawn, smile big or press my lips to a spoon. But their removal is not covered by medical and I can't afford to have them removed. So I just look grotesque. I was actually sad to see the masks go.

@@quantummystery6624 It can't be dissolved but the product itself is metabolized fully, your skin will produce collagen around the filler, leaving extra volume long term. You can dilute the product for a more subtle and even distribution. Undiluted is more for immediate sculpting and projection.
I wouldn't use it on the nose and can't be used in the lips.

I'm a fan of filler, but wish people would do smaller amounts. People acclimate to bigger lips for example, and then want even bigger lips to the point where it no longer suits their face or causes the skin around the lips to distort in weird ways.

Hi Dr. Dray, thanks for the video. I had filler kysse in lips first time ever, and have developed itching, the lips are gorgeous no other symptoms. This was 16 days ago. I have itching in face, scalp, sinus, nose, even body too. If I touch my lips or face the itching aggravates. I am on medrol pack, and Benadryl nothing helps. The bad thing is that at the same time I stopped Omeprazole, which also causes itching. But the itching got worse, with the second dose of the same kysse syringe. I have anxiety that the itching won’t ever stop. I will go get the filler dissolved this week as process of elimination. Do you think that if I dissolve the kysse, the antigen will get dissolved or does the antigen stay there forever just migrating.?? Thanks you for your time and explanations

I’ve had 3 filler dissolves and two lances and I still have the same 3 nodule type lumps on my lip. I’m scared to re fill as the bigger they go the more prominent they will become. Do you have any idea what this could be? They’re not hard but still in certain lights can be seen

  • @leahbear8323

Filler also does not always completely dissolve the way the industry claims. I went to an extremely reputable clinic in Western Canada and had some injected into my nasolabial folds that I was not happy with. After 2 years it was still there so I went back to have it dissolved. Even after having it dissolved with hyaluronidase, I can still feel it under the skin on one side 3 years later but it has migrated down. It's not visibly noticeable so I've left it alone but I'm shocked that it still remains. I'm not saying I wont ever get filler again, but I no longer see it as something I want to mess around with before I really need it. I'm only just shy of 40 so it's not something I'll be doing until I'm dealing with significant volume loss.
