I hear this soundtrack and I’m taken back to a better time when I watch my brother (rest his soul) playing this late at night when we had school hahahaha

Hell yes now we're talking. I can always watch some NES Castlevania with a smile.

I said to myself "If they can beat Dracula with only those two bits of health, I will subscribe." Fair play, you've earned it! Skill to kill that vampire swill! Subbed!

I hope i can keep you subbed by being honest : I use Savestates for these games.
The reason is simply time. We always want to present mostly full and deathless longplays. Doing that the "honorful" way would take A LOT MORE time.. and in the end it would look the same : A clean deathless playthrough.
But I can ensure you, it took a lot of patience to finish Dracula with that 2 health points... I had to reload every single move like 10 times before I got it perfecly.

@@RetroGameSpacko Worry not, I totally understand. Your honesty is most appreciated. 😉
I know how hard these games can get and it's nice to have a little 'insurance'.
Still, Savestates or not, it's *your* skill winning the game. You clearly know what you're doing and your health goes so low at certain points that it adds suspense *(Will Simon survive or not???),* indicating to me, a relative novice to Castlevania, that even skilled players can struggle.
However, if you had a button that just topped the health up or made the game look easier than it was, *then* I'd take issue with it.
Point-and-Click Adventure game playthroughs tend to do this, where they cut out all the faffing about. Which, as an avid player of said games, I feel is dishonest.
So, don't panic. I'm still subscribed and looking forward to more. 😄

@@DoctorInk20 Exactly my thoughts. I even think this is the best way to practice a game. In games like Ninja Gaiden for example when you die at the final boss you have to finish all three parts of the 6th stage AGAIN! By the time you reach the boss again you have totally forgotten what has killed you and you will likely die again at the same point 2 or 3 more times. Thats something that plagued old games and it is mostly gone now.. fortunatly! Like in Cuphead.. you can try any stage or boss as often as you wish.. no Game Over ect. That makes mastering all the bosses feel way less or even not at all frustrating than it was on most older games.
