The game that started it all, but the NES version features different areas when compared to the MSX2 original that was JP exclusive until it was added as a bonus in all regional versions of MGS3 Substance. Also featured as a bonus (along with the NES sequel and both MSX2 titles) in Master Collection Vol. 1. The objective is to infiltrate Outer Heaven and stop their plans of using Metal Gear to destroy the world. Unlike in the MSX game, Outer Heaven in this version is split into five buildings, all of them separated by jungle areas, in fact you start off at the jungle instead of inside Building 1. All weapons and items from the original are also included on here, same with bosses and events. In my opinion, I prefer the MSX version since that was the one I played on my old flip phone as a native mobile port back when I was a kid. Then when I started playing this NES port years ago I found several things that were very familiar, and even made through it without a walkthrough literally lol.
Nice video and thanks for uploading this too! I've never played this game before on the NES, but I do have this game now already along with Snake's Revenge as part of Volume 1 of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection set which I have for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
The start of a legendary franchise. I'm not interested in the Metal Gear series, but I still appreciate them and say that they are great games, just not for me.

Nice to see where items like the remote control missile started
The start of sn epic franchise
I think the PS1 game is a more "SOLID" game than this one
That's because the plot with different version depending on the consoles (MSX2(the first game that Kojima made) and NES(this video))
Many already said it, but who would’ve thought, this is a game where Solid Snake killed Venom Snake ?

*UH-OH! THE TRUCK HAVE STARTED TO MOVE!*
Gad, there are so many grammar and verb conjugation errors in this game.

I will appreciate that the nes version is what introduced Metal Gear to the states although it is a very flawed port of the original game.
