      Thanks bud! Although I feel I left out more stuff. But tried to compact it best as possible.. I sold mine already and looking for the 5.3 as well but might go with the short base. But the job honestly isnt hard at all. Having power tools sure does make the process faster!

    I got a 2003 Trailblazer LTZ current upgrades 3 inch level lift 33 inch mud tires i had a rim conversion spacer made so i could rock the rims which went for a jeep i got a touch screen back up camera and a upgraded stereo ! I got the suv as a beater at the time for $3800 bucks but found it was a durable fun SUV and currently planning so much more for it !!!!

      Right on brotha!. I sold mine already. Went to a good home. I'm actually looking for a shorter base with a 5.3 to build next. I wasn't to much of a fan of the 4.2. The ext was comfortable with space but I just didn't like the appearance... stay tuned tho. Got alotnof builds to post

      Unfortunately, it was totaled. I had sold it to my cousin where it was rear ended under his ownership. Was a great suv and saved his life. The other driver was driving at 90+mph speed while intoxicated... could of been worse had my cousin been in a smaller vehicle

    Maaaaan, I ended up buying a ball joint press kit for the upper. I hanmered nonstop and it would NOT come out. With the press kiy it took less than 5 to remove and install the new balljoint

    What front axles are you using? I have a leveling kit installed on mine and it’s too much of an angle.

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used stock axles. Did you flip and switch or upper control arms?

  • @gemini1312
    @gemini1312 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Did you swap the upper control arms? trailazers have issues with clearing the upper ball joint. You switch the uppers and upside down 'em. L to R and install upside down. It corrects the angle on the upper ball jointys

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir, I did... don't remember if mentioned in the video. But also replaces upper/ lower control arms, ball joints, axles, bushings..etc. it rides great. But now downsizing to smaller tires and got some lightweight wheels. The gas is horrible right. Until I get funds tonre gear and go up to 37s. Shes gonna sit a bit shorter for now

    Is that an SD9 VE or the SD40 VE I seen during your intro? I have an SD9. I love the way Trailblazers look. So beautiful to me. I HATE THAT PIECE OF JUNK 4.2!!!

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks brotha! and yea I agree lol. Most finicky engine I've had to deal with. Very sluggish too.. and yes it's my sd9. Great gun for being lower end price..

    Nice build man! I have a question, with the life pucks did you have to extend the suspension? And where did you buy them because last time I check they didn’t make a lift kit for the EXT trailblazer

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks bud!! No extension. All I did was swap the UCA from left to right then flipped then upside upside down.. and I just used the same lift for the short base. Fits exactly the same!!. Might need donde one help u put some weight on lower suspension components to help squeeze in the new parts. But not much to it

    Nice build man!! Which front bumper is that?

    • @flyboy2610
      @flyboy2610 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is the stock steel bumper. The plastic on the front of your truck is not the bumper, just a bumper cover. Remove that and this is what's hiding under there. Note, though, if you have fog lights they attach to the bumper cover and not the bumper itself.

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks bud! Yea like the gentleman stated. It's just the stock "crash bar" "bumper bar" different names for it....these front bumpers honestly dont align right .least not mine so I just took it out also to avoid any rub

    I got an 06 ext in black and I live otro style might take your ideas hole you don’t get bothered but he’s trailblazer love and that code try changing the valve cover gasket if it’s bad and air manifold gasket these go bad on these trucks

    what, youre down to 10mpg after this?
    my stock ext , i get an avg 18 and 20s on the highway at 60-70mph flat, no wind.
    i dont think this suspension/tire swap is your mpg problem

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right. I don't think so either after i down sized tire size and also upgraded to lighter weight wheels, new oem spark plugs. Pulled and cleaned throttle body along with everything else required for a tune up.. It actually made no difference in city but a decrease in highway... I'm starting to think I should suspect my catalytic converter or 02 plugs maybe being bad... possibly bad injectors. Maybe even might of jumped timing a tad bit.. im pretty stumped now..

    How much you pay for parts?

    • @vanni_doestv4516
      @vanni_doestv4516  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I removed the bumper cover. Although It was rubbing on it. U will need to cut it if you're keeping it. Also the fenders needed some trimming. The inner wells didnt re quire to much work but I think I did have to trip some random pieces sticking out. As for parts I re did everything under the suspension, wheels tires. I think I spent 3k. I'd have to double check
