For any of those that are new to motorized wire strippers, there’s a fairly common method of using them, and I think this will cover just about all of it. First of all, do NOT use gloves, as motors and blades have a tendency of yanking on them, pulling your body parts along with it into the destruction zone(ask woodworkers if they ever use gloves, and why not. Bonus for asking ones with missing fingers/appendages). Next, only strip wires 14awg and bigger(bigger the gauge, the lower the number), as smaller wires are just not worth the time it takes, nor the headache to try to get the machine to work on them effectively & efficiently. Then, group all similar sized wire together, so that you only strip that ONE size until it’s completed, then onto the next. Depending on how much wire per gauge you have, let’s say an even amount in feet per gauge, I would start with the biggest, then move down in sizes, as you will accumulate the most weight in the fastest amount of time. Use the hole thats as close to being the size of the wire, and still be able to slip through without much, if any drag/friction. Mount that infeed hole BELOW the blade height, so that the wire will be at an incline when it goes under the blade. With the motor OFF and the blade higher than the wire is big, feed the wire through the hole until it gets under the blade, then drop the blade down onto the wire. Then crank it just a bit more and test. Repeat until copper is able to be separated easily from the insulation, but WITHOUT the copper being cut up into pieces - you’ll regret it if it’s cut up, so go slowly. You dont wanna deal with copper splinters/stabbings. Make sure that the wire is tracking straight out on the outfeed side, as any deviation can lead it astray, “knocking” the wire out of line with the blade, which you’ll then have to rerun through. Happy scrappy hero pup!

There’s a much easier way to strip Networking wire with itself vs destroying it in the wrong machine for the job

Wires twist sonic you hold it while it’s going in it might help. I know your not supposed to have to hold it but. And also out the wire on the channel then set the blade. When Turing the dial make sure it punctures the insulation.

Hi there is a certain way to use this wire stripper. You need to put the wire in from a lower angle. It takes some time getting use to it. I bought the stripmister.

Me also got the strip meister. The 250. Simple enough to operate.

Just do all 1 size wire, then go to the next size.

@iffy9776 would it be too much to ask, if you would elaborate, instead of just telling people that it’s not good? I mean, really - how often have you listened to somebody’s negative review, and base a purchase (or lack thereof), by hearing them say just that one line, without any reasons whatsoever to back up your statement?

needs better feeders, these do not have much grip. So I feed my wire from the back then around to the front, and pull up on it from the back, so it will ride the feeder and get better grip. After trying different things I found this to work best. Must be careful, fingers are better on your hand than in the machine. I was lucky, gloves took the hit and I still have all my fingers.

That’s an interesting angle, figuratively and literally. Thanks, i’ll test that out, maybe I’ll put mine back into use, simultaneously ran w/my Stripmeister E1000.

There is another video where the guy is using the screw on end off of a tube of caulking that he has cut to a smaller size for the smaller wire and it seems to be working for nhim. Just got mine tonight, have you to take it out of the box. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Don't you all love looking for a video to explain something (I was looking to see about this machine because I found one for sale and know nothing about it) and there isn't 1 word spoken during the video explaining anything??!! I have no idea why people make these videos!!
