I started doing that email folder trick when I had a couple projects under my belt- organizing first by the internal project number and then its name makes it so easy to find discussions from forever ago to double check information for RFIs and shop drawings. I've also started adding the names of clients to the folders for more specificity, and it helps to remember the types of projects our usual clients tend to go for
I totally agree with the statement that you should try to come up with a solution before you ask for help, because as you say you are often closer to solve the problem than you think, and that also helps your confidence 🙂
Your channel is an inspiration to me I'm a L200 civil engineering students. And your channel gives a good picture of what it's like to be a civil engineer

Hello sir Did you learn all the softwares during your degree or you learned some software at your job....l also want to be a Structural Engineer currently in my 3rd year of Btech Civil engineering and now I'm kinda scared of how work life would be like....do l have to remember all things when l start working because the things keep piling up and l forget some things looking forward to your reply😊
Hey! I learnt a few software programs during my degree but I’ve learnt a lot more about these programs since graduating and actually using them in my job. You don’t have to remember everything from uni but there is some crucial stuff you need to remember if you want to be a structural engineer. Don’t worry to much because if you forget it you can always relearn this stuff as you start working.
RC slab design, RC column or wall design, pad footing or strip footing design, cantilever retaining wall design. There’s many different options. Create a scenario and then just work through it
Hi! May I ask what software were you using in the video for the Retaining Wall Details (not sure if it is a retaining wall, sorry poor eyesight)? Was that just AutoCAD? Thank you!

That's so relatable during first job it's so confusing we don't have a clue about what's going on and even the people are new its crazy experience

I want to focus in drawing details.
Is there any chennel or website for that?
