I’ve kicked around a few different ideas, anything specific you’re wanting to know?

@@Junkyardmethod I guess trailer and truck specs and chaining I understand anything over 10k you do 4 corners but what about heavier trackhoes when do you need more chains and binders?

@@johnnymartin5207 I’ll put some thoughts together and make a short video covering that stuff.

Can you explain why my Fontaine magnitude barely clears the ground when it is set in its highest position? Truck is on 22.5 tires so I know that doesn’t help but it should clear the ground lots more than what it is

I’ll answer your question with a few more questions to help figure out what the issue is. At this point I’ll operate under the assumption the trailer is not wore out with zero camber left. What is your 5th wheel height? If it’s lower like 46-48” that doesn’t sound like much but it makes a difference when it comes to ground clearance. When the trailer is aired up what do the air bags look like? Maybe the leveling valve has been messed with and it’s not at the proper ride height. Some also have a whittle arm that allows you to adjust the suspension ride height, maybe it’s broken or adjusted really low.
They make longer bars to go on the neck ride height adjustment, the big trailers sometimes have a dual pattern for use with the long neck/jeep and when it’s short necked on the truck. It’s possible that trailer was built with bars for a 50-52” height.
Is the trailer structurally sound? Good camber in the deck, wheel area etc? Are the lugs on the main frame rails in good shape? Not wore really bad, bent or have been broken and repaired? Also that big pin running across the bottom of the neck and sits in the lugs, how’s it look?
Does it have a pin joint between the deck and wheel area where you can swap the deck for a beam? If so it may not be shimmed right. I don’t know what features you can or can’t get with this trailer.
