The funny thing is that hibiki didn't actually know she loved miku in that sense (or that miku loved her like that) until like literally the penultimate episode.

Part of me wanted Miku to have her own symphogear, but every time she got a little bit of power, she turned evil.

Well it could be both ways really cause gungnir is a piercing wepion that could cut away things like gods or the connection between but it could I think also connect those same things if the weilder willed it be so also considering the fact gungnir in the anime is literally her own hands and arms (originally her whole body cause of the concert tragity) both ways could easily apply

So fun Japanese fact: Miku's name is written with the exact same Kanji as the word "Future". Thus taking back Miku from Shem-ha is exactly the same as taking the future back from her.

I love this franchise. Thanks for 5 seasons, 65 episodes and a lot of memories. It started off shocking and ended with utterly amazing quality. The absolute bar for an original series in terms of success. This fight was great, the last episode was incredible and as a final season it did not disappoint.

The whole series had this plot going on, with hibiki and miku trying to understand each other better.
They love each other but they're bad at communicating and didn't know how to say it.
It would've been so much more impactful if we finally heard them say it.

I only found Symphogear by coincidence in May this year and it quickly became one of my alltime favorites and this scene and that other one where they all sing together and all former enemies appear as well as the fact that the seried is ending just made me cry so hard...

I watched Symphogear from the moment it first aired... Season 1 was had such atrocious quality moments and I only watched through it to see how dumb it was. It was amazing to see it become better over each season and I got hyped every time a new season would start. Still remember having to wait weeks for Commie to sub the show because no one else would do it and it wasn't that popular back then. And now XV is going to be one of the biggest sellers in Japan and with CR supporting it it has become a reasonably popular anime in the West.
See you Symphogearbros. I was a ride. I'm going to miss watching this show and I'm going to miss my daughteru Kirika.
After watching sailormoon and after so many years I thought I would never get into an anime so intensely . Symphogear changed that . What an amazing journey . Come back Symphogear :)
As much as I like Symphogear, I'm happy it had a proper happy ending rather than going for more and more seasons and eventualy becoming stale.

Symphogear gets gayer every season and I love it.
I have a theory.
In the series, it is stated the Gungnir and the Lance of Longinus -- both associated with the death of the divine -- are the same weapon, and that it is mankind's lore about and faith in these weapons that grants Gungnir the power of Deicide; in other words, it is a Conceptual Weapon. However, here, we see that Hibiki's love for her wife has gathered the hope and faith of all mankind into her arm, perhaps even obtaining the power to forge a completely new Conceptual Weapon.
I would argue that, in that miraculous moment, Hibiki's Armed Gear was not Gungnir -- the Cursed, God-Slaying Fist.
Instead, Hibiki's Amred Gear was Gungnir -- the Miku-Saving Hand. Her palm -- the literal weakest part of her hand -- shattered Shem-Ha's blade of darkness through its authority over one domain alone -- Saving Miku. Anything that got in the way stood no chance of stopping her.
If that ain't love, then I don't know what is.
Metanoia, a transliteration of the Greek μετάνοια, means after-thought or beyond-thought, with meta meaning "after" or "beyond" and nous meaning "mind". It is commonly understood as "a transformative change of heart; especially: a spiritual conversion.
Yes, it's a good song name for the series.

It's a reference to her gear. Gungnir is the "spear that can pierce anything" both metaphorically and physically. So in this case, it's like a hand that pierces the darkness in Miku's heart or the impurity (Shem-Ha) currently possessing her. In the 1st season she learned that despite not being able to summon her armed gear, which should've been an actually spear, her ability to hold hands with friend and foe alike is her armed gear. There were lots of dialogue callbacks throughout this season ^^

Such a wild ride of emotions this 5 seasons, from a clunky first season 1 to a substancial improvement in G until this very last ep in a series that kept going upwards, gonna miss you symphogear, hope animes as a norm were like this, instead of a great start and lower down over time, even if its starts clunky, keep and keep going forward and up
I personally liked season one the best despite the budget issues. Also season two everyone needed to be slapped with a dictionary
@@nathan9026 season 1 wasnt bad, but was clunky as it wasnt obvious if the project would live it up and had ideas all over the place, G came to put more order to that with help of the changed director and the staff getting more proeficient
@@HaxeRain season 1 had all the good moments and passion behind it for me i realize its clunky however the momorable moments like hibikis 1st transformation. That was badd ass as fuck. Then we have beserk mode. Then we have season 1 finale which was done pretty danm well imo. Overall symphogear is my favorite anime.

I started this series 3 weeks ago from today and omg I love and I just finished it. Now I’m sad and don’t know what to do with myself since I just watched the best series ever made. January 12, 2020-
it has a mobile game, you can get it in stores that give you access to japanese stores or you wait 3 or 4 weeks for its global release, it brings new storylines from paralel universes, its a gacha game and balanced at least in the not pvp sections, it is really fun and you can make real progress without paiing anything, its worth a try.

I wonder if someday there would be a Godzilla vs Symphogear anime series in the far future.
I did some research on the custodians. It’s possible that there could be a 6th season or a movie since well one of the most important annunnaki wasn’t mentioned at all. To me he seem the most important out of all of them. The god of the moon nanna who also a being that govern the gods.Not to mention that Shem-Ha went rogue and rebel this could be an act of treason and seeing that humans weren’t able to stop her before things got too serious. Also being that the moon was involved in the story most of the time yea it’s possible for him to act. Not to mention if there is a need for a vessel he could always use a certain power hungry old guy to pass judgment. Also seeing that hibiki has a firm belief at the end of the season this would be a great way to test her resolve.
The other annunaki abandoned Earth as a failed experiment after Shem-Ha messing with mankind's genetics. They scrapped everything and left, Enki stayed behind to seal her. If the Annunaki are even still out there they probably don't really care what became of Earth
