I love how bonkers this series is. Did you know that in Symphogear 3.5(only thing from the phone game that is canon) Hibiki befriends Tutankhamun?
Like, the actual dead pharaoh, Tutankhamun. And she treats it as if it's something normal.
Chris is the only other person present when she does it, and although she does raise her doubts, she also eventually just defaults to "meh, not the craziest thing that has ever happened to me."

What do you mean the only canonical phone arc? Where did you hear this information?!! I’m pretty sure the arcs featuring Miku saving alternate Hibiki is canon as well as the arc with Tsubasa and Kanade.
@@katherinemerkel3505 Only 3.5 is related to the anime canon iirc. None of the Gjallarhorn arcs are canon to the animr. If they are, we wouldnt see Tsubasa or Maria crying about Kanade and Serena...
Well maybe the dimensions close at the end of the game story. Also just because there are other Kanades/Serena’s in different worlds does not mean Tsubasa gets over the trauma of losing Kanade her timeline. It makes sense for her to be sad and remember about her Kanade if she had experienced a event that brought her grief back.
Can we talk about how Genjirou is a goldmine of quotes?

The number of references/shout outs to past seasons in this scene is crazy. Between Chris telling Hibiki to punch it (like s3 e1), the Maria titty docking, and the shot at the beginning where Hibiki's headphone is blown off, they're all so quick and well thought out!
Remind me, when did Hibiki's head gear get blown off before? I literally watched through the entire series again for this season and I don't recall it happening.

This episode was lit as hell they brought out their X-Drive, Amalgam, Nana Mizuki’s Final Commander, and Carol kicked Noble Red’s ass AND IT’S ONLY EPISODE 8!!!
Even though Hibiki punched the God, she now has to fight her best friend Miku, who is now completely one with God and wielding both the vambrace of Shem-Ha and the newly restored, relic destroying gear, Shenshoujing. This is definitely going to be Hibiki's toughest challenge.

Ludicrously awesome shit like this is the reason I love anime. Everyone who hasn't watched Symphogear and is even slightly considering it needs to fucking watch this show. I haven't seen a show this purely entertaining and hype in like 10 years. Jojo is definitely up there, but everyone and their mom already know about it. This one deserves way, way more attention than it gets.

This season could have easily been the revelation of the true antagonists of this franchise universe. Im not joking by saying it needed at least another 5 seasons, if not much more. The power of the future enemies could have easily reached galactic level.
power creep is far more dangerous than you give it credit; personally i'm happy with it ending on a good note and not getting a bunch more seasons that don't live up to the hype
Know what, I wish there were more seasons with new villains who weren't that connected to the previous villains. Or even an adaptation of XD would work.

Amalgam was so forced. I think I read the director wanted another powerup and Kaneko just whatever'd it.
