I like to think she meant that literally. She couldn't hear Elfnein clearly but her first reaction was to just punch the laser anyway. Classic Hibiki.
That also means that E9 knew she would punch it, and incorporated that into her plans
It is also a callback to season 1 where she started to train close combat and this exact scene played as well where the commander tried to explain to her how to fight until he said to just scream out her emotions where she did the same thing as in the scene here ^^

That would also explain why she looked a bit surprised when she punched the beam and it actually worked ^^
I love Chris’ call back line “you want to be a hero that badly?”, something she said when she and Tsubasa caught up to Hibiki at the end of season 1
And then she busts out the big showstopper from G episode 1.
The "I don't understand a word you're saying" is also a callback to the 5th episode of season 1, when Genjuro is training her she says the exact same thing.
Finally the general public is noticing Symphogear. Only took 7 years. This entire franchise is criminally unknown in the west.
Obvious reason is because there is no dub. First thing I did when I got this recommended is go look.

I like how each of them show just how far they've come with their own gear. Chris over here firing off 2 Gigazeppelins at once while also running her reflectors when before it took a ton of effort just to fire one missile. Sirabe throwing both of her yoyos while also sawing things to pieces. Show's crazy.
Well the first season theyre armor had low phonic that means they cant use lots of attacks but in season five their phonic gain is so high they can do lots of attacks at one

We could be waiting a while. In AXZ we had to wait until near the end of the season before Genjuro got around to declaring "GUNGNIR, DATTO?!!"
I don't think we got it this season instead we got " DAURDABLA, DATTO?!"

The show looks like it could potentially be interesting, but I'm not sure about it. Could you tell me what makes it as good as I've heard people say it is? It looks like the kind of the show you know the heroes will always win and no one ever dies, and I feel like the singing power concept would get annoying after awhile.
@@kingchickenwing4887 - if i had to describe it in one sentence, itd be cute girl power rangers who sing while blowing shit up, directed by michael bay. the main appeal is the great action, great music, and overall over the top nature as you saw in the clip
- people do die, whether its innocent bystanders or side characters. this season had some devastating deaths that affected a particular character a whole lot.
- the singing power concept getting old depends on how much you like the music, each character has their own unique music genre and their own songs. the battle sequences are always edited to complement the music and its always hype as fuck, if you've ever played metal gear rising its just like that
hope you give it a try, while the 1st season is hard to get into because of the QUALITY animation and attempt at edginess it gets much better the further you get into the series
@@daddoba2618 But are the villains good enough? From the clips I saw, they seem pretty generic, and without a good villain, most shows can't really have compelling heroes, either. While the action does indeed look very good, it doesn't matter if there is not attachment to those involved.
@@kingchickenwing4887 symphogear's villains are alright, they do have motives for doing what they do that arent simply being manically evil and have unique designs. hell, a lot of people this season are sympathizing with some of the villains after we got a bit of their back story.
ill just say that people dont watch symphogear for high tier writing, mainly the action.
To anyone just finding this anime for the first time from this clip; this is the 5th season, I recommend watching the first 4 before watching XV. Seasons orders are named Senki Zessho Symphogear, Symphogear G, Symphogear GX, and Symphogear AXZ.
I always kinda wondered why alot of Japanesse sequel series use G in the title.(Getter Robo G, Great Mazinger etc...)

They’re pretty dedicated for recording a different version for singing while fighting.

Never heard of Symphogear, what is it like?
It is really good, this is season 5 so if you want to watch it, it is best if you start from the beginning becase the anime starts from 0 and here are some references to previous seasons ^^
The anime is about the Symphogear System and their users, which protect humanity from an artificial Weappon calles Noise which kills people if they touch them, no weappons can destroy them, only the Symphogear which are parts of relics like for example Hibikis is Gungnir, the orange one.
But not only from the Noise, also from other dangers like here its a coffin on its rampage or also from other humans.
Symphogears are a Sci-fi, Mecha, music Magical Girl Weappon like you see in the video which is powerd by the 'Phonic Gain' which they produce while they sing.
It is not really like a Magical Girl show where the power of friendship is everything, here things are somehow logical explaned, well with the animes logic.
But the main character Hibiki prefere to talk than fight so friendship is also there but not like in some other anime.
It has some dark events in every season but the first two are darker thand 3 and 4 and season 5 has a really dark start in episode 2 so it is also not really girly with the everything is fine setting.
Dude too long didn't read, in short: its hype as fuck kill la kill style with amazing fucking music, and every season gets even better and more hype.

Techinically Symphogear has just one game, the mobile game X-Drive Unlimited, which is from Bushiroad and just 2 years old.

Looks cool but never been into singing anime for the same reason I've never been in2 idol anime jus not my cup of tea
Well it's not a full on idol anime, they sing because it enhances their powers. And i haven't seen any anime that sings while fighting too. By that i mean the singer fighting.
Yeah I know what you mean. This is why I never really got into Disney cartoons. Characters singing and dancing just kills it for me somehow. It's good songs, just doesn't work for me. In this case it doesn't bother me because the songs don't really mean anything, it's just "background music" really :) Well most of the time anyway.
Well this is a lot different from an idol anime in fact theres hardly being an idol at all in fact only one of them is an idle and even then theres more action dubbed with awesome soundtrack
For what it's worth, except for maybe one quick scene every season (one that's usually interrupted by plot), the singing is only done in combat, and it's really just used as a way to give each fight an intense rhythm. The explanation in the show is that the armor just plays music and you naturally sing along to it when you're not talking or something, kind of like how you breathe without thinking about it. Ain't no choreographed song and dance numbers here.
Except for Beef Stroganoff.
