Hey guys this is sailing with tom and we left for the Whitsundays from Newport in brisbane and a couple days after we left you guys hopped in our spot at Newport maria
Hi guys, thanks for taking us to Thursday Island , my father was the original builder of the Thursday island hospital he over-seed the building of the hospital In about 1950, our 10 years before I was born, it probably is not there any more. The white ants 🐜 probably ate it too pieces Anyway, I’ll keep up the good work guys always enjoy the videos Cliff from Logan city Queensland Australia. I’m on the big island
You (the boat) sure looked pretty sailing over the top of Australia behind your flowing genoa. What a big voyage upcoming! May your final preparations go smoothly. ⛵
So far just savings. TH-cam is on average only $100 a month & private sponsor/patreon is about $80. Letting youtube take a bit of a backburner right now because it takes so much time away from our family & experiences.
Not being a knocker but why are you even in this area during Cyclone season. Can I ask what is you cyclone plan. Do you have a weather router to advise you on weather and best course given this time of year. Can you advise if you have insurance and if so what does your insurance company state in relation to cruising here in Cyclone season.
@@davidmoran3659 Thanks for that info, now that makes sense. It would be nice to know actual time when these are posted as on my feed this was only posted hours ago.
Actually you will find a lot of people cruise north QLD even during cyclone season. It's quiet & cyclones don't come out of nowhere so it's easy to get away from them if you are paying attention. Most youtube channels are behind - its near impossible to home school, travel & edit whilst keeping up to date. I may have forgotten to put the episode number up. If you watch back we often talk about dates/time in the videos :)

That's awesome! What a cool bit of family history.
I hope you had a safe passage and found some calm water and sleep. I look forward to next week.

Thank you! Make sure you watch the passage ep. It might be longer than normal, but hopefully very interesting!
@@fyd_adventure3049 I like long passages. (Assuming they end well!)

They were in Thursday Island and Cape York in July. This is the right time to be there. Videos are about 6 months behind real time.
