I know it is hard to believe, but I feel so excited about following this sailing adventure with you guys; almost as excited as you four are. This is just so thrilling. Stay safe and stay healthy.
Incredible this oasis in the middle of nowhere. We understand your impatience during this wait to continue your journey south, but caution is required. Thank you again for sharing with us your navigation and your adventures which make us so happy. have good wind
Great sail guys i enjoyed it. Only one problem i didn't hear the dinner bell for those Lobsters wow they looked good. be safe and see you next week. i woke up this morning 13 degrees outside that warm weather looks good.
You should try and go to Lord Howe island which is 800 nautical miles off the coast of NSW coast. It has unique flora and fauna. In 1975 it was nome to the rarest bird on earth today there are more of them but being flightless. I am sure you will love it .
Just a quick look shows your tropical growth with copper coat to be much like ours, and it also appears to come clean as easily too. Love how you are consistently faster now too. Wait until you get the new mainsail!
Luckily I know from your IG posts that you've made it to NZ. I am already so curious to find out how long you'll be able to stay there to explore the islands and where you'll be off to after that, whether it'll be to Oz, or maybe to Fiji and then Vanuatu? I know, I know, the answer is going to be "stay subscribed to the channel and find out". 🙂
Clearly a clean bottom and folding props have really improved the speed-- the Chair of CAAF (Cats Are Always Faster) is far happier with your progress...Phil
Guys. This isn’t spam. I used to suffer from severe motion sickness. I saw one of your crew sick. Let people know about the relief band no more meds and it will prevent motion sickness
Decisions decisions. The possibility of mechanical failure increases exponentially over time. What to do, what to do? Glad it was you deciding and not me. I usually get A 50/50 call wrong 90% of the time.
For what it is worth, when I worked a fishing boat out of Galveston, the Captains wife kept a large jar of dill pickles in the galley. She would tell seasick customers to take small bites of a pickle and chew it well before swallowing. Seemed to settle the stomach for a lot of people. Don't know. Never tried it. Just sayin... 😎
One thing that might not be so apparent to most, including me, just a little confused, but it seems like you were in Samoa last I had seen you. You had been there a while ? So, this passage is Samoa to Minerva to New Zealand ? I'm going to check that on a map to see if it makes sense ? Also, there was a BUNCH of boats there I think it was last summer , 2024 ? An absolute ton of them, about 30 or 40 ! From what I'm seeing you're seeing 5 or 6 but maybe there are more. Or maybe more show up ?
Lots of people! I think if the weather is good to continue on they end up skipping it. There are roughly 100 or so boats that come to Minerva a season.
The evil things we use to do to one another while underway. When we saw one of our shipmates turning a little green we would break out a can of sardines, light a cigar and there was always one asshole who went out the night before and had pickled eggs and beer. You can imagine the nasty farts that produced. Then we would sit back and bet on which greeny would puke first and how many sympathy pukers would join in.
Thank you.

Thank you so much, we’re really enjoying this adventure too and glad you get to come along with us!
Thank goodness for autopilots. Still looks like a great passage and I love the care that you take to insure a safe and pleasant trip.
What stunning colour water. I’d never tire of seeing that.
Have fun in paradise.
Erika thank you! Thank you for not doing an annoying "vocal fry" on voiceovers, that quite some other sailing channels do!

Yes, the old fueling truck. Used in Split, Croatia 🇭🇷 too.
Like the glasses Warren are those new?

Yep it's going to be a game changer for sure when we get that new mainsail, we are super excited!
Please tell more details about sea sickness and recovery - how bad? How long? Looks great, except that! Amazing adventure!
Man you were lucky, Sailed past Minerva a few times and the weather was never good enough to go in . Coming to NZ expect South Westerlies.
I would have chosen to stay put as well

😀😀👍👍❤❤
Our humble beginnings. 😂😅😂😅
Minerva is part of Niue's 120 mile protectorate zone, which is part of NZ.
Maybe the cause of conflict between Fiji and Tonga but Niue far more than 120 miles away.
@KevinBattams-Akast I got it wrong mate , it's not part of Niue,Beverage Reef is.

Excellent news Phil!!! Next up is to purge the excess amount of shit on board so maybe just maybe we can retain the title CAAF
@@WEsail hmmm I fully expect you to be getting a daggerboard cat!! 😂

That is interesting, I have never heard that before! Might have to give this one a try, good to know!

Oh no this was from Tonga to New Zealand, we left Samoa a while back and went to Tonga. We had been there for about 3 months
Why New Zealand? Tired of great weather? 😁
I was there for a month,and it didn't rain.
@crankinozzer Cyclone (hurricane) season in the tropics there. Boat insurance dictates GET OUT!
:)!!
Silly title, is there anyone who doesn’t sail there before NZ?
