Currently working on the 2nd movement of this - I'm glad to hear that he took part of it an octave down, because I was considering doing that myself, and have now been affirmed in that decision. He's very clean on the repeated 16th note figures - very well done! This is an enjoyable video and an excellent performance.
@yman4444 the reason behind all the liberties is to add to the second strands. you cant just play both times the same way it is too simple to leave it the way its writtn. and this a great performance and a great person too.... im now working on this with his student at curtis.
@Orochimaru1Death Me too, Ii'm experiencing death :P I have to do the first and fourth movement for an audition. Idk how I'm going to be able to perform the fourth movement at Presto
@@keenwilliams2755 oh I still do need it ahaha. I’m talking about what he does at 3:58, for example. I can double tongue fine but that sounds like one stream of air right?
@@Graham_M dont hear Keen Williams (sry)…. To do a good lip trill you need experience, but here is how it works : for example you choose a note, the easiest is on a Do (C), you will do a very quick lip flexibility between Do (C) and Mib (Eb) on third position. To improve this feeling you can Imagine saying « Ha Hi Ha Hi Ha » very quick. At the beginning it will be slow but you will increase the speed by the time ! I only know doing it well with 9 years of the trb !
@yman4444 I feel the opposite! I feel he could've taken even more liberties. In any case, it doesn't change the fact that it's a beautiful performance.
He sounds beautiful but I do not like some if not most stylistic choice he made through out the piece. Again he sounds amazing and I love his tone, it’s just that.
Done beautifully. The dynamics are fantastic, as well as the tone, not to mention a handful of other things.
Page turning dude is like a freaking robot. Absolutely still the entire time.
Wow! Great performance! I'm on the last course of Professional Learning of trombone, and now i'm playing this sonata. Really impressive!!
So beautiful, Mr. Haroz! Thank you, sir for your artistry.
I'm working on this piece for my freshman year in high school and i love this piece so much it is challenging but fun.

I think it's because this piece is baroque.

Anyone know what type of trombone Mr Haroz plays?
he plays on an Edwards
you can see his (as well as many other pros) edwards setup here:
www.edwards-instruments.com/trombone/artists/index.php
The sound is a bit aggressive for my taste. May that be due to the horn?
Am I the only person under 80 to listen to this😂
Dang crazy seeing a fairly recent comment 😂
