PASTICHE OF CINEMASINS' " #EverythingWrongWith " SERIES.
The DLC campaign for #FiveNightsAtFreddys #SecurityBreach was widely received positively, and I can definitely see why. It's a fun and straightforward side-story that's surprisingly innovative in terms of its mechanics and objectives. It definitely feels like a game in its own right, and an all-new title in this style would be very interesting to play through!

You don't understand, Charriii. See, the V.A.N.N.I. mask is actually powered by the Phantom Ruby from Sonic Forces, explaining how the AR world makes no fucking sense
And that explains where that went. Or even better, it’s actually the Mania Phantom Ruby, and that’s where it went after the Chaos Emeralds interacted with it.
This is my favorite comment
No no, it's actually powered by Pot of Greed, because as we are all aware, no one knows what that card does!
Lmao

The bullshit lore reason for Freddy having a prototype stamp on his foot is literally just so that the DLC has a Glamrock Freddy antagonist. That's it.
Tru
Actually it’s likely just to serve making it unsure which ending is canon because nothing in fnaf can be 100% anymore
It's just an updated model with updated textures. The same sort of thing happened when in pizzeria simulator they replaced Springtrap with afton. It's just them figuring out how the story works over time./srs
P.S. sorry if this is incoherent I'm really tired as of writing this./srs
no, that's either freddy's body or a prototype version of the real freddy. But maybe I don't understand the complaint.
Which is indeed bullshit because Glamrock Freddy can ABSOLUTELY work as the Ruined Freddy encounter. Without his head, what was once our precious Faz-Dad is now this broken down, mindless zombie shuffling around looking for anything to shove into his mouth-like chest cavity. The idea is awesome, but because Steel Wool, Scott, or both likes to see us squabble, bicker, and lose our minds over stupid things, we got that moronic prototype stamp.

to be fair, i think the "how does gregory know this?" comments are simply explained by the mimic being the one talking to cassie, rather than gregory
Except Cassie assues she's talking to Gregory, who shouldn't know some of these things.
@derekstryder2281 To be fair, she doesn't know what's in the sink hole or where in the sink hole Gregory is, could be a security room down there for all she knows, and it's not like Cassie doesn't question anything Gregory does, she just keeps getting distracted, at first everything seems normal, then she falls deeper into the Pizza Plex, gets chased by the animatronics and M.I.X.E.S, and she keeps having to deactivate the security nodes, by the time things start getting suspicious, she's trapped and running for her life, not really much else to do, and when she does get a second to breathe, she DOES ask Gregory what's going on only for him to say "I'll explain when you get here", the Mimic does a good job pretending to be Gregory and he and Cassie ARE friends, she just trusts him and wants to help him, that's all.
that actually can be known on the game files, whenever gregory talks it says "Gregory: voice line" and when its the mimic it says "Grimic: voice line"
...how-?
Except Cassey doesn't know that. He's asking the question that Cassey should've
The thing with Gregory figuring out which frequency Cassie’s on could be explained with taking his “I’ve been trying to contact you all night” as him looking through various frequencies until landing on Cassie’s. But this then raises the question of how exactly did Gregory find out that Cassie was using a Roxy Talkie in the first place??????
Gregory is definitely an expert hacker, he likely gained access to the pizzaplex cameras [much like the mimic also likely had]. It's very possible gregory and the mimic fought for control over parts of the facility control, seeing as at no point until the end does gregory manage to use the building intercoms to talk to cassie. So having seen and heard cassie talking to "himself" over the cameras, he proceeds to search through radio frequencies.
@@EmeraldCrowz I wouldn't say that, He's confused in parts and service "What's all this tec stuff?" and says the parts and service looks complicated, he isn't that tech savvy.

Fun fact! The reason freddy disappears from the AR world is because in the original game he was booted up in safe mode after he crashed on stage and its heavily implied that the safe mode disconnected him from the security system, meaning he wouldn't be in the AR world
So the prototype dude *IS* our Freddy????
@@moca-pocalypseoctohog3045 he definitely could be, it would explain why he wasn't in the AR world since him being booted in safe mode kept him disconnected from the systems of the pizza Plex including security. That's just my thoughts though.
@@ihyghxsttif it IS another Freddy, it still makes some sense. Leaving Safe Mode on an animatronic that won’t be used anymore could be a way to prevent it from getting you should it go rogue.
I thought it was because he was missing his head meaning the AR mask didn’t pick up on his motion signal
So, when you look around the final area where the mimic shows itself, you can see a backpack with the label "Gregory" which means that it is his backpack. Where did the mimic get the freddy walkie talkie? Gregory's backpack.
But as we see Gregory doesn’t even have a Walkie talkie even in the base game if I remember you don’t get one because you already have the Freddy watch
@@icephoenix452 fair point but it seems he may have acquired a lot of new stuff since he got out of the pizzaplex
@@icephoenix452 I mean it just a walkie-talkie. I don't think the idea of him having a Freddy themed walkie-talkie with the Megapizzaplex right under his nose is out there like at all.
okay but charriii draws cassie so well????
So now that Charriii is a FNaF channel, you think we'll get a Security Breach rewritten?
It's more likely than you think lol

@@mrboogdom106I love Security Breach but...what story?
@@derrickdaniels3955 oh yeah…
@@Charriii5 I would like to mention one of your sins that you added to the game, more specifically the one where the mimic gets the freddie talkie. I have a theory that the mimic managed to take it from Gregory's bag which can be seen in the area right before encountering the Mimic.
24:02 missed sin
Why is Roxanne the final node? None of the other animatronics were at all referred to as nodes, so why Roxanne? And we are given no reason to believe they are security nodes either
26:48 another missed sin: Roxanne had to be DEACTIVATED to access the underground, Soo how did she get reactivated, and also what was the point in that "emotional" scene between the two of it didn't actually mean anything? Why have that moment at all if your just going to go back and just have Roxanne come to save her anyways
Both of those bothered me, too. Like, how did Roxy get up from being crushed under the machinery, and how did she reactivate? 🤔
@@sunnywhite196When she heard the mimic and her dear friend, the power of friendship caused her to awaken and gave her the strength to throw off the fork lift and run down to the sinkhole with the speed and energy of a gold medal Olympic champion only to get ragdolled when it actually came to screen time
No, I’m not being serious, I have no clue either
Another sin:
We know that Gregory and Vannesa were the ones that created the nodes and MXES. But, why would Gregory make Roxy a node when she wants to kill him.
first one:
maybe she wasn't a node and the mimic thought she was a threat to his plan so he( appeared as helpy) said to cassie roxy is the node, so she could take care of her, that why her node puzzle was so easy
second one: it kinda did a similar thing to sun/moon, where she rebooted him to become eclipse, so it did this to Roxy...

@@BR-jw7pm I love that ideal, it's so hard to find that known niceness on here, because almost everything could be taken one way or another. The "Dear..." really does seem nicer. Also, yeah, I'd love to see the Shantae series too!
Ahh he will probably talk about the one thing I really dislike about the series the odd way Lore is done in the series. Expeshaly with the last 2 games
The Freddy’s foot part was so great because it verbalized a problem that I have with some of FNaF’s lore which is that there can be so much evidence pointing to one thing only for one thing to make it impossible
This is one of the benefits of me not being a huge follower of FNAF lore, I can just shrug that one thing off and say it’s just a plot hole or a continuity error and move on.
19:31 I think it might be due to the fact Cassidy and Roxy knew each other when she was much younger, and also because of her voice because if she heard Gregory she would've probably beat the shit out of him.
23:26 Something to add to this, the reason Freddy disappears here is likely because this Freddy isn't connected to the V.A.N.N.I Network like how the other animatronics are, but if that's true, that's MORE evidence that this is our Glamrock Freddy, but as you said he still has "Prototype" on his foot, for all we know, this Freddy could've never been connected to the Network and we'd have absolutely no idea.
I'd also like to say that I absolutely love this video, I've been waiting on it for a while and it's perfect.
At the start of fnaf SB Freddy is rebooted in safe mode, and so he isn't connected to the PizzaPlex network, that's why other animatronics attack us when Freddy doesn't

Roxy showing up to save Cassie have some actual logical reasons as to why/how they happen. For Roxy, it didn't make sense to me at first that Roxy had a security node installed in her _in the first place_ until I realized that M.X.E.S itself installed the security node; this makes sense because having the node be mobile would make any attempt from the Mimic to escape would be difficult. This made me realize as well that M.X.E.S was still around even after the last node was shut off, so I believe that either as Cassie was making her way into the basement or before it shut off, it sent an emergency reboot command to Roxy, informed her of Cassie's location, and told her to save Cassie. M.X.E.S is able to do this because it did this when it _first_ found Cassie and pinged Monty. Now, in terms of the Mimic constantly knowing exactly where Cassie is the entire game, it's likely it's seeing through Cassie's eyes with the transmitter implant from the mask or it gets in the camera system to see where she's at. As for Gregory potentially being AT the Pizzaplex; the trio most likely was alerted to the fact that the security nodes that M.X.E.S was protecting were starting to shut-down and either traveled to the Pizzaplex in order to stop the shutdown or tried to contact Cassie remotely.
That's a decent theory but Roxy is blind, and unless she has super speed I don't think she could save Cassie in time. Cassie also has to clime though small tunnels which seem to be too small for Roxy. I also don't think Roxy is a node, the mask that she's wearing (the one we give her in Help wanted 2) is the node and Cassie placed the Fazwench into the mask not her actual face, which then deactivate the mask, which deactivated the node. This explains why Roxy came back from the dead she wasn't deactivated in the first place the mask was.
@@3nc335 OOPS. I totally forgot that that _is_ a mask; my bad! Roxy being blind is sort of a moot point considering she's able to navigate her way around pretty well with her sense of smell and sound cues. If the node was the mask, then nothing would happen to Roxy; she wouldn't shut down or anything since only the mask is being messed with in that case. Also, what's the evidence that the node is the mask? Roxy is clearly reacting to Cassie inserting the Fazwrench, which gives more credence that she herself is the node and not the mask just by what we're seeing. Also, Mimic tells Cassie that Roxy is the final node before you reach her.
@@Xinis Hmm I guess Roxy isn't a node naturally, but the mask makes her one so that could explain her reacting to Cassie's Fazwench but Post Ruin Roxy isn't a node as the mask has been deactivated by Cassie. Her AR form also has Green around her face and other parts of her body and it only disappears once the mask is deactivated, Mimic could be also lying too.
Rectifying everything I just said about why Roxy shows up, it's more likely that the Fazwrench is what rebooted her since you do the same thing with Sun to reboot him and Moon into Eclipse.
@@Xinis If she was rebooted wouldn't she be like factory reset?? for Sun and Moon it seemed like we did a hard reboot and fully reset him, as Eclipse acts as if the place is still open. He says stuff along the lines of "This place will be filled with kids soon" and "Come back soon!" even though it's clear as day that no kid will ever step foot there. So wouldn't this be the same case for Roxy, she wouldn't remember Cassie or remember anything and yet she still calls Cassie's name out. Unless she was reset with no memories but some how sensed that a kid was in danger, saved Cassie quickly scanned Cassie's face seeing her guest profile and her name explaining how she knows her name. I really don't think we rebooted her, we just deactivated her mask, the Fazwench does have the ability to activate stuff so it should have the ability to deactivate stuff.
4:56 You'd hate how predictable a venting scene can be.
5:01 Big oof.
5:29 Actually she BARELY recognized it was Monty. Her dad worked here, so she's more likely to know the characters inside out.

Where was that said?
@@dylansharp8471 "A FazWrench? It's just like my dad's."
The jumpscares are so much better here I must say. It feels like the person is actually being attacked and is trying to fight back
17:22 My guess is that it updates the pause menu before your inventory, so it takes a few extra frames for it to register as you having collected that item, since its executing the code to update the pause menu first.
26:25 oh, this one is easy actually - we can see Gregory's backpack right before Mimic's sealed off prison. He and Vanessa had been down there setting up MXES, and he must have forgotten it. Not sure how the Mimic got the walkie talkie THROUGH the wall but hey Cassie walked through a couple walls herself in this game
It possible that Greg lured The Mimic with walkie-talkie.
Otherwise yeah you right.
I saw MatPat’s video about how Glamrock Freddy is no longer connected to the network since our Freddy is with Gregory and Vanessa but just a head intact, same with Monty,Chica and Roxy, they’re all connected to the network and if someone messes with it then they will go crazy and go on the hunt to Gregory in SB,someone like Vanny and she was controlled by Glitchtrap and Glitchtrap has always been involved with the network and controlling people since he said something about green network being good and blue network being bad since we saw Roxy having a green outline of what she looks like in SB before Gregory destroyed her in Roxy Raceway meaning she’s good and that Glamrock Freddy is also good since he was the only one who helped Gregory get out of the PizzaPlex after being closed and once Freddy is out there that means he’s off the network which explains why when Cassie puts on the Vanni mask,Freddy is not there,he’s not in the network system unlike Roxy,Monty and Chica cause three of them are connected to the network system
There could be so much more to talk about this. Is the digital entity actually stopping us from freeing the mimic? How does he know that's what we're doing? Is it not advanced enough to speak to Cassie? How did the mimic even upgrade helpi with a jammer. Who even made that big chinned bunny? Gregory and Vanessa? Apparently his backpack is there. Did Vanessa just said to herself "oh wait i just remember about the fake springtrap mimic robot i was worshipping when i was evil, we should probably stop it".
How did they, all by themself:
-Lock him inside the sinkhole
-Program a security program to keep it sealed.
And what even happened to the burntrap suit? Did the mimic discard it because it serves no purpose?
all those questions can be answered by "we pivoted so hard we lost what little plot we had." they should have stuck with the burntrap ending and let burntrap be mimic rather than this nonsense.
A couple points to make:
1. 16:45 I put together that being near the Entity prevents you from taking off the mask by this point so it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to take off the mask here
2. 27:05 Gregory having a Fazbear branded Walkie Talkie makes sense given the redemption ending and I'm pretty sure that in order to contact Cassie, Gregory had to try every frequency he could until he found the correct one, the only question now would be how he knew Cassie had a Walkie Talkie
Or that she was in the Pizzaplex looking for him
Because like Charii says, the only reason why he'd know anything at all is because of Vanessa
Honestly...
Fnaf should make an open world janitor game where you clean the PizzaPlex or whatever.
Not sure if I want to keep this current story since Fnaf works best with a scheduled work week system (a.k.a namesake of this franchise).
I could also care less about the Mimic in general mostly thanks to how it debuted in the franchise.
If you read the books, you'd definitely be excited.
If you're a casual fan, then this thing seems cool at first before you realize:
"Wait, where's Gregory then and was he keeping this thing down in the original pizzeria from Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulater?"
"Was Vannessa brainwashed by this thing to do its biding?"
Disregarding Afton, the Mimic almost comes out of scenic nowhere if you haven't read the books.
(Which Casual Fans likely won't do)
The problem isn't that the books exist.
It's the use of characters that ends up ruining everything that was being built up.
The Glitchtrap virus had me excited for a cult of Afton controlled by an advanced AI...
Not an endo that can shapeshift its physical form and voice at will.
Then again, I may be too old or lost interest for this franchise so take what I say with a huge grain of salt.
This! I completely agree with you on this, aside from the fact that most people don't even have the mental capacity to understand mimic backstory (mostly because of how many plotholes it has) It completely makes the original help wanted, Fnaf AR, And most of the teasers of the base game, for a lack of a Better work, "Worthless"
@@AdmiralGrizz29
How so?
"It's the use of characters that ends up ruining everything that was being built up"
How so?
@@dylansharp8471 I admit, I haven't read the books as a 'casual' fan of the series.
The Mimic came back with the outfit of a Springbonnie Suit worn by a teenager that died in it.
Now, without context and seeing Afton change designs drastically in the series, one would assume that William came back...
Especially with the quote:
"I always come back."
And then in ruined, without any explanation from the events of the base game, comes The Mimic out of nowhere.
It's an almost total whiplash in the story.
(Aside from The Mimic mimicking Afton in the main game's story, but why would someone assume that it was just an AI?)
We don't even understand why Gregory came back (again, I apologize for not reading the books or watching any videos explaining them) without the outside books.
It could all be explained in game without words or with worker logs to collect like in Slender the Arrival if adding dialog wasn't the best option.
About the TV static, it’s probably due to the fact that, if you look closely, RWQ may appears in a frame.
No. I you have that from Markiplier's playthrough, he admitted on his podcast that he added that in to troll people.
@@DiceHeadOstrichIsverystupid FUCK It’s static Golden Freddy all over again. Thank you for correcting me
One thing someone dug up is that there are TWO voice lines that would be played during the main ending. At first it plays Gregory's explanation, but that would be ended with "But make sure it doesn't follow you".
HOWEVER it gets overwritten with that screeching noise whenever the Mimic talked on the roxie talkie and replaces it with the exact same dialog that ends with "But we can't risk being followed" which triggers the elevator drops.
Which heavily implicates that the MIMIC SOMEHOW dropped the elevator....but then WHY?! It makes more sense narrativly with Gregory saying he wasn't at the Pizzaplex to not be able to drop it, but the line "Make sure it doesn't follow you" makes sense narratively with him not able to track her every move
They could’ve fixed the whole how did mimic contact Cassie thing by making the roxy walky talky and the Freddy one ACTUALLY Cassie and Gregory’s walky talkies. The mimic maybe could’ve seen Gregory talk to his friend on it, dropped it for plot convenience, and decided to mimic this to get someone to come. It’d even be in character for Cassie to have a roxy walky talkie and Gregory to have a Freddy one.
Is the Freddy walkie-talkie not Gregory's? His backpack is still down there in the sinkhole.
@@Takejiro24 maybe acc tho they don’t say it’s canon. For all we know the walkie talkie could’ve slipped through the cracks in the floor until it fell on the mimic’s head. It’d acc explain how it got it while being blocked by concrete.
A few explanations:
The Freddy Walkie Talkie is actually from Gregory, as we can also find his backpack close to the Mimics Lair.
Freddy was definetly modified after the events of Security Breach, as multiple metal spikes are driven through his body.
Mimic probably had access to some of the S.T.A.F.F. bots, which explains how one of them gave you the mask and how the Walkie Talkie is where it is right now.
I like the fact that this kid had the absolute gall to sound so nonchalant about killing the power to an elevator with his friend still inside, (supposedly, cuz the game just ends there) effectively killing her in the name of "safety", yet the sin itself was the copy-paste scripting on the cc
13:23 look, that mask has something in it that makes the anamatronics not see us, WHICH IS THE WHOLE REASON WHY FREDDY CANT SEE VANNY AFTER THE DAYCARE IN THE BASE GAME... wow that just makes me mad
Come again?
@@dylansharp8471 what?
On the topic of the Endos not being aggressive when you're wearing the mask, I think it's less that they don't see you and more that they see you as "friendly" when you're wearing the mask. Like the Endos don't attack each other, and I think when you wear the mask, you register the same way to them.
Either that, or you DO become invisible to them, but the reason is the same reason Freddy can't see Vanny in Security Breach. Something about their programming causes them to not see someone wearing the Vanny mask.
In the game files, the only way to tell whether a voice line is the Mimic or Gregory is that, voice lines of the Mimic were dubbed as "Grimic" which is a portmanteau of "Gregory" and "Mimic".
Also, the reason why Prototype Glamrock Freddy is not in the AR World could be that due to the fact that he's a prototype, he was never implemented into the AR World.
The thing I hate about RUIN is that it doesn't even TRY to continue or fix the original plot of security breach, like the game had SUCH GREAT FUCKIN POTENTIAL, but no, just completely tossed in the garbage, the new villain, Vanny? Whom had such great buildup? Not only gone, but completely underutilized, awesome, I kinda hate this whole game now.
Ruin, GAMEPLAY WISE, is a masive step up from the main game though, I'll give it that.
Well there was one of the secrets in Help Wanted 2.
Using The Mimic to Segway into a Data Protection System Sponsor Is EXTREMELY CLEVER!!! AND I LOVE IT!
8:35 Ah the mask warp. Something thats been happily abused by speedrunners and explained by AstralSpiff. It works exactly as you explained, when you attempt to use the mask but something causes it ro not teleport you to the opposite map type (Reality vs AR) and removing it launches you above the appropriate one until you drop onto or into bounds. I dont remember if it was ever found out why the mask has that issue but man its funny to see especially back when ruin first released

So someone made a very good theory on this about how it might not be the cannonical ending, as the mechanic in the base game notes talks about how he needs to finish the games, and progressively completes 1 through 3 but you cannot even play the next game in the series before completing the previous one.
Eg. You cant complete three if you havent done 2
Now, in Help Wanted 2, if you complete Princess Quest 4, you get a cutscene where you hand a mask to cassie.
So to do 4 this means that the player must have completed each progressive one already in order to hand the mask to cassie.
I thought the ending where the bot gave Cassie the mask was separate from Princess Quest IV (when completing that gave you the ending where Vanny crushed Glitchtrap)?
Broham I was in the middle of watching your EWW on fnaf world
Is this really the end of the EWW Series? I completely understand if it is but I'd love to see it continue. I've been Binging EVERY SINGLE EWW you've made over the years and absolutely adore Binging them. It's a yearly tradition to rewatch all the EWW'S for me
Edit: I genuinely think that you're hilarious. Your pure RAGE in EWW Sticker Star Is absolutely the best cure for My depression. Keep up the great work and I'd follow you anywhere you go as long as you deliver top quality content
28:54 Gregory does actually try to contact you throughout the game in places that AREN'T the Roxy-Talkie! In Roxy's area, the voiceline that plays over the intercom and sets Roxy off is implied to be the real Greg, and I think he's even titled as such in the game's files. There's also a deleted/rare voiceline of a staffbot head calling out to Cassie, before the signal fizzles out again. Cassie questions it for a second I believe, but then moves on. Both voicelines are tagged with the REAL Gregory, while every other Greg voiceline (from the Mimic) is titled as "Grimic", if I'm not mistaken.
23:46 I have genuinely not seen Charriii3 getting this damn pissed in a Everything Wrong With video since the Hotel Mario toaster scene.
And the sticker star video
@@bomberman9296 I haven't seen that one. Remind me to check!
So an explanation for the stitched together dialogue at the end from Gregory is that now that he has a clear signal, the stitched voice sounds less normal, since earlier it was just chalked up to bad signal.
15:06 I figured at this point Charriii5 would have brought up.The fact that how the hell does gregory know what is being said in your own eyes. Like Helpi doesnt have a voice like he said so how does "Gregory" respond to a text box in our eyes?
Hey Charrii, I watch your content a lot, and especially recently since i got bronchitis and havent been able to do much. You inspire me so much as someone who wants to get into voice acting and maybe content creation one day, and you are the perfect version of cinemasins to me. Thank you for putting a smile on my face for these past few days ^^
Yeah this was a neat dlc but I was genuinely confused. I didn't know what ending of SB was actually cannon, I wasn't sure why Cassie did all this without alerting someone, how the Mimic got in contact with her or how Gregory was in control of the elevator 😅. I was gonna look to either Dawko or Matt for the explanation sooner or later...
My main question was, why was the Mimic so shocking or special to a few. I get that it can mimics someone's voice, but could the Funtime Gang (or at least one of them)?
15:11 ALSO HOW DID HE HEAR HELPI
I was literally bingeing his channel earlier this week, wondering if he was gonna do a Ruin video, lmao
Sin 19 is a callback to Markiplier’s suffering
Considering this takes place after Security Breach after getting the true ending, why would this whole story take place in the Pizzaplex ruins, it would make more sense if Gregory ask Cassie to meet up somewhere else, granted I know it’s the Mimic talking, but how has Cassie not realized until it was too late? Because plot, that’s why.
Yeah, security breach's writing was....less than subpar.
@@Owenwolf368as Charriii5 said it best: *Welcome to Five Nights at Freddy’s.*
if a friend calls you acting weird would you suspect is a freaking robot imitating his voice?
So many of the running jokes in Ryan George's Pitch Meetings apply to this game, it's insane.
Between continuity, writing, and characterization, which is worse: Sonic or Five Nights At Freddy's?

can’t wait for help wanted 2
To be random
OH MY GOD THANK YOU
I’ve seen literally nobody else mention how it doesn’t make sense for something to be real in the real world but be fake and ignorable in the fake world. That’s not how that works. Why have so few people even so much as noticed it or tried to figure out how that could work?
Personally, I don't think the genre for the horror affects fnaf, open world or linear, they'd both work
It mainly comes down to the usage of replayability. The first 4 fnaf games utilised replayability by having a gameplay loop which was easy to understand, but became more difficult at the nights progressed. Honestly it's like rhythm games, keep doing the thing to you win with it getting harder and harder so your skills need to develop.
This is also why help wanted 2 succeeded, it is built around replayability. Security breach's free roam system may have worked if the story progression wasn't as linear or there was stuff that was noticeably different. Each fnaf 1 plzythrough will be different, security breach, outside of choosing between the branching paths at two points in the game, it's very similar. ruin had a similar thing but it works better cause ruin isn't a major entry, it's a dlc focused more on story aspects
Very good insight, and I totally agree! Like, I said, I think the open-roam formula could work for horror, especially since, like you say, horror itself isn't bound to a specific style or its own genre.
Love reading perspectives like this!
@Charriii5 I think I should add, fnaf's style of horror suits best for that repetitive gameplay loop of rng making the gameplay random and you needing to adapt
People often say fnaf isn't good horror because its just jumpscares and while i can understand why people wouldn't find it scary, I think it's wrong to say fnaf is just jumpscares for it's spooks.
To me, I find fnaf utilises building tension and panic, then utilises the jumpscare to break That tension into a scare. I'd best describe it like diffusing a bomb. The explosion is the threat and why your tension is rising, any screw up reduces your chance of success, you need to get this right, of course, a jumpscare does add to that scare.
This doesn't really apply to the challenges, 4/20 mode, 10/20 mode but those are more meant to be hard challenges then actual horror anyway.
Security breach has the issue of, there's no tension, mainly cause its open world so you know the scare is coming, there's not much tension built up because the fetch quest nature of the game means a screw up is just a minor annoyance which you can just do faster since nothing much changes and the fazerblaster and faz cam countering animatronics.
Ruin kinda has the same issue but as I said, it has difference circumstances to security breach, with it only being a dlc focused more on the storyline and being a shorter but memorable experience
Edit: I should also add, the pressure built up being put in full force by the jumpscare isn't the only way its used. The pressure can also be due to you wanting to avoid the jumpscare. It's a unique way to do horror which I feel many mascot horror games trying to mimic fnaf's success have failed at doing as they just see it as "jumpscare = scary"
9:00 my brother in Christ you have no clipped
9:15 this usually happens when you move up or down a level *like a small curb* and put it on at the same time
Thanks for uploading this. I know you’re not likely planning many more EWW based on your April 1 video, but it’d be super cool to see your take on the Ace Attorney series. (Whether it’s Apollo Justice, Phoenix Wright, or TGAA series). Stay awesome man!
Awesome Video Bro!!
Obviously Gregory didn’t actually message Cassie in the first place as he says she was never supposed to go the pizzaplex. It was the Mimic, who is able to manipulate radio frequencies in the books, that contacted her.
Also, The Mimic knows where we are and what we’re looking at because the code of the Mimic (Mimic1) is either mimicking Helpi or just straight up is Helpi.
To explain what’s going on with the endos: The VANNI mask integrates you into the neural network of the pizzaplex, basically the animatronics just see another piece of code in the system when you’re wearing the mask. Since Freddy doesn’t have his head it also explains why he isn’t in the AR world: He is no longer connected to the systems.
Freddy’s “prototype” imprint has to be something that was meant to be covered during base game, but as the pizzaplex collapses and the paint wears off the writing becomes clear. Because it *has* to be our Freddy.
The Mimic was tricked to be trapped behind concrete by Gregory and Vanessa; After Glitchtrap is destroyed Burntrap reverts back to the Mimic and Gregory lures him to the room with the talkie and then the room is sealed with concrete.
3:33 even if Gregory knows her address, how could he just go there? The whole reason he contacted her was because he was allegedly trapped in the Pizzaplex (from a POV where we don’t know abt Mimic yet)!! Also, 10:37 , you don’t have to play through the whole thing again. After beating it you can selectively go to different chapters you may have missed something on in the menu. 21:53 That ain’t blonde hair that’s the flame coming out of a rocket cutout. Her hair ain’t that dark *or* that spiky.
You certainly delivered on some of the stuff I questioned too. Great work on the analysis!
Love the comparison bewteen mimic gregory and ytp
Another thing about Protype Freddy is he has a green gift box in his stomach. Our Freddy had an orange one that we opened to get the Fazwatch. I really don't see a reason why Freddy make a new gift and force Gregory to sit on it the whole game/pop out a new after getting his body ripped apart.
Ending Freddy was also originally going to be his Broken form for SB before they scrapped the idea, but while Protype Freddy does share similarities, his design is also quite different. That could be from everyone just getting more messed up for Ruin, but I still think it's something to note.
I feel like the ending to SB could be both Burntrap and Redemption, since it hints at one and shows the Burntrap area, along with the blob.
I honestly really hate Mimic. It feels like they slapped it in due to backlash of Burntrap. Why just randomly slap in a book character with no explanation? I get FNAF doesn't like explaining things, but like come on.
I've always though the thing with Mimic having access to the outside despite being trapped behind a wall for who knows how long was bull. Gregory and Vanessa were down there to put the Mxes and Gregory had a Freddy backpack, probably with tools to help Vanessa, but they never removed that wall so Mimic wouldn't have access to the walkie if it was in Gregory's bag.
"Time to start talking about this game but first, a segue into an ad for a truly helpful service!"
Thank you, Charriii!
do whatever you need to for however you want to handle life, but know we'll support ya man. and if you decide you want to throw a surprise video from time to time, maybe consider it more as a hobby, you know? (feeling dumb about randomly posting something random like this that has slim chance of being seen, but hey maybe not everyone realized what you were talking about there at the end of the video, and i could be wrong in assuming this, but it does seem like you at least dont want to do youtube your whole life, yet have a lot of video plans you still wanna do despite saying you want to retire youtube soon. fans will support you no matter how you handle it, and even if this guess is right or wrong, the message being sent is still here as just support)
I appreciate your comment!
It's not TH-cam or Content Creation itself that I'm retiring from, but the Everything Wrong With pastiches themselves.
That being said, there are still so many I want to do. Some from series that I've never covered before, but mostly ones to round out the series that I have, like the Sonic spin-offs.
I just want to venture into more original territory and not be known as the "Everything Wrong With" guy, though I know I've already created my reputation.
@@Charriii5 I definitely am one of the few that mistook that April fool video then, that's on me. that said, still going to be here to watch the stuff 👍
“Gregory” can see you because Helpi is part of the Mimic
I absolutely love your version of "everything wrong with" series. 👍👍
29:10 Charri he did go back to the pizzaplex, in the room before the mimics room, you can see his backpack.
There is a Staff-bot jumpscare, which has rare Gregory dialogue.
Somehow one of the frequencies Gregory uses is that of a Staff-bot, that has a perfectly timed jumpscare.
Great video.
I’m really happy you’re continuing this series Charriii. Hopefully you can do my favourite Nintendo game ever, Miitopia at some point.
I always love the endslates! They feel so real and is kinda nice to see
Thank you so much I thought you weren’t about to do this one
What i love about videos like these, is that the best is when you agree with some of the things he says
Oi chariii you know theirs a freddy bag so THATS HOW THE MIMIC GOT THE FREDDY TALKY (it was right next to the Very breakable wall here) 25:46 Cuz before you break the wall to see the mimic their is a little vent thats blocked off with a little freddy bad thats GREGORY’S BAG
Thanks for this video. I was waiting for it.
I hope that you make a video of the Ace Attorney and/or Danganronpa games.
I now need an animation of Gregory audibly saying "elevator falls".
I love how his still trying to apply logic to FNAF. Never change man never change
I have never seen it lag this bad for anyone, you are first mate
8:25 "this happened" **an ad pops up**
No, literally, a ad just popped up for me the moment he said this 😂
I love your content so much. You actually explain the game more than gamers explained channels do.... and you're only ranting
Bro I just randomly searched up to Fnaf to see if there was a new game only to get reintroduced to this channel it's been a MINUTE I'm glad you still make these videos
24:48 stupid theory, The Mimic is actually trying to hold the goat but is struggling to not laugh at Cassie but is slipping up while trying to keep it lol
Honestly very likely. Mimic knows that Cassie is almost done and he's clearly a dick. Hell after deactivating Roxie, the pause menu text changes to "Happy birthday Cassie".
He has no real reason to keep trying anymore and is just enjoying the show.
Also I find it funny that Mimic seemingly didn't even need anyones help to escape. We see him push a forklift and there are broken secruity nodes outside his cage.
I'm don't think hacking the rest of the nodes or breaking a wall (after like a week) would be that hard.
He really just called Cassie to give Greg a big middle finger.
I love how mad he gets at the subtitles 😂 I thought it was weird that the elevator action was part of his diologe
Can't wait to see what you do next.
Sin 62: Someone (probably worker) could have been exploring the burned out husk of the pizzaria and got jumped by Mimic, and any attempt to use the workers voice to deactivate the nodes was met with being ignored by the Faz Corp.
God have I waited for this
God i will always love when he rants
These talks between personalities are getting insightful and I'm waiting for another Charrii with a blue jacket to get the primary colors of light and another perspective. Keep going strong, no matter what you do.
when your favorite youtuber finally post so you don't have to keep re watching their videos on loop
Charriii I’ve been watching since I was in 8th grade and I’m about to graduate college soon. I just wanted to say that I’ve enjoyed your content since I was literally a child and I will continue to watch and support your channel no matter what direction you take it. We all love the content and wish the best for you
Idea for new Ruin plot with some features.
*Cassie does her whole Gregory are you there routine*
Eerie giggling is heard from a pizzaplex shop, so Cassie finds a flashlight and investigates.
When Cassie gets close, she can only make out two red eyes. The figure whistles, and Monty is summoned. So, Cassie runs away.
From there, everything is normal until finding the VANNI mask. After the MXES first encounter, when Cassie uses it, she can see a rabbit like figure in the shadows with red eyes. When she gets close, it runs off into the shadow. Helpi dismisses it as MXES stalking.
When they get to the Super Star Daycare, the normal Moon chase happens, but when it’s time to reboot Moon, the same shadow rabbit appears. This time, Cassie and Helpi know it’s not MXES.
Eclipse gives a cryptic warning about glitches, and traps that doesn’t make sense… for now.
Soon, when it’s time to reboot Roxy, before Cassie can, the shadow bunny appears… and it’s Vanny. After a Vanny chase, you get a roxy reboot wiring game.
At the mimic reveal, it turns out the Mimic got out due to the pizzaplex being ruined- And has donned the Vanny suit and mask.
At the elevator, Gregory reveals that the Vanni mask works by the neural transplant making you think there is something in your path, when there isn’t. Putting on the mask lets you see normal, to increase your reliance. Then the mimic cuts out Gregory and drops the elevator.
Also MXES talks because it would be more threatening for him to taunt and coax Cassie.
Something told me you were dropping a new fnaf video when i started watching your fnaf AR on repeat
Describing the Mimic talking as Gregory as a "YTP" has to be the best description! XD
Also, to answer your question, the linear, on-rails approach works so much better than Open world. It satisfies both new and old fans because its fairly straightforward like the Cawthon games, but it's done in a very different way that's fresh.
To this day I still think Gregory was the one who dropped the elevator and not the Mimic like everyone says. Mimic can’t hack into speakers it doesn’t possess Glitchtraps abilities, it can inky mimic voice lines that already existed before.
In the books Mimic has the ability to control electronics and short them out through close range contact. The elevator also seems to be activated from the wire puzzle Cassie does, so all Mimic had to do is undo that same wire puzzle.
@@3nc335 Your not wrong, but I still believe it was Gregory, more to the fact his dialogue, sounds more clear than at the very end where we find out the Mimic
Was using dialogue that already existed. Not to mention there are two files for voices. One is Gregory the other is Grimic, “Gregory/Grimic” the “We can’t risk being followed is in Gregory’s file. I know the whole “Oh but Cassidy’s name was in the files in SB and they changed it when we started looking so maybe they just learned from their mistake.” That could be the case but there audio they made for Gregory that wasn’t used is similar to Gregory’s last lines, so they def intended the final lines to be Gregory’s not the mimic, whether it was the “We can’t risk being followed” or the alternative “Make sure you’re not followed.” Also to add to this “We can’t risk being followed.” WE. Why would the Mimic say we, it’s always been “Help ME im trapped, Help ME, Save ME, he has no idea who’s with him, he’s been trapped.
@@sfanim7865 To be honest the fact it does say that "We can’t risk being followed" as Gregory in the files makes me still think it wasn't Gregory, I mean why would Steelwool be that stupid and reveal an important ambiguous plot point in the game files, especially in FNAF where they never give it to us straight. I think it's clear that their misleading us, logically you wouldn't just reveal important plot point that's meant to be ambiguous.
As why the Mimic would say we? It's still playing the role of Gregory still trying to trick Cassie to make her believe that Gregory betrayed her. Either that's because he wants to use Cassie as another Vanny or something else. Also Mimic has been hijacking the Helpi Ai multiple times in Ruin that's how Mimic knows where and what Cassie is doing as the Helpi Ai is in the Vanni mask. It could have easily heard Gregory saying that his friend as access to the budling maps and that's how and why he says we.
@@3nc335 Its possible, I guess to each of their own.
Prototype Freddy is not only a different Freddy because of “prototype” on his foot, but he also has a present in his chest. The present is even different from the one where Gregory gets the fazwatch in the main game
