I own one myself I love it very much for commuting here in the Netherlands. Nice bonus is it being foldable since you can take it on the train for free. The only thing I dislike is the handle since it's so high up. I switched it out for a bmx bar. Also I recommend folding the bike only halfway so it still stand somewhat horizontal if you want to take the battery out. The problem with folding the bike down all the way to take the battery out is that you risk bending your battery key.

Same here, as long as you don’t use the throttle when in busy areas, police don’t seem to show interest. Thats good because as long as we ride safely it shouldn’t cause any trouble, even if its illegal for public roads because of the engine specs and throttle
I went one step further and de-badged mine, blacked out the serial on the motor cover, and bought some 'bafang 250w CE EU' stickers off eBay for £3.99. Quite a few posts on social media of police setting up checks in certain areas. The throttle switch on/off with the power is genius, as long as you power off then on with brake and full throttle deployed. Another thing to prevent confiscation is to simply power off if you're even pulled over and say your battery is dead and you're using only pedals.. :)
So copying a Lectric XP 2.0 all the way down to the key produces an ok bike with no US customer service 🤔 Good to (cough) know...

Late reply, but I'd worry more about running out of charge - if you did high level pedal assist or full throttle only. If you mostly pedaled on level 1 assist (uses way less battery that way), you might be ok but it depends how far you're going, how long, etc. I wouldn't even consider it in winter conditions obviously. Batteries don't tend to run well when it's past a certain cold temperature.

The throttle grip does not work on my bike, idk if it's related with my country (France) I saw some people saying the manual accelerator could be desactivated in some countries and you need to activate it but no one told how to activate the throttle grip does anyone have an idea ?
Check the display instructions, there is a setting for speed limiting, and this likely disables the throttle too.

power off and fully use throttle and hold any break and hold power button until the pattern it goes to a screen and let go of power and keep holding thrrole and break till there is a change in pattern. it shud work.

@@kasperchristensen8952 In that case it's a great bike. I was just pointing out that sometimes American and Canadian videos might be a bit misleading on the capabilities of a certain e-bike due to EU limitations (in the EU they are much slower).
@@-shikajin-4078 Actually in Denmark if you have a driver license you can drive a bike like this up to 45km hour aslong as you pay for insurance under "speed pedelec" rule. :-)
