Paddington is an amazing film and the sequel is just as good. They are just enduring films that make you laugh, cry and fall in love with the characters, especially Paddington himself. Thank you Cody for watching this film, and if you watch it, I hope you enjoy the sequel too.

I love this movie so much, so charming and definitely gives off a very British feeling, I would know cause I’m in the UK myself.
Also two of the actors are from doctor who. Pretty cool.
Fun Fact : The marmalade in the movie isn't technically real marmalade since marmalade is made from quince. Marmalade was invented in Portugal and its name comes from the Portuguese word "Marmelada". It relates to the Portuguese word "Marmelo" which means quince in English.
If you're interested try both the original and the orange version to see which you prefer.
Man I love this, a proper British icon in many ways, but also just generally funny and lovely. Love how in recent months he has also been remembered for meeting the queen of Great Britain, may she rest in peace. Two icons now forever immortalised together

Paddington 2 is a masterpiece hands down.
I may be projecting but I'm an immigrant, moved to the US at 18, left it all behind and the Paddington films capture homesickness, the desire to fit in, to find your family per se and to communicate when you come from such a different place so so perfectly. It was so healing to be validated and I always hope that when people watch it, they're reminded of the hardship that is the immigrant experience. We have hopes and dreams which are often crushed upon arrival, partly because of culture shock and partly because of prejudice. Its very bittersweet to have your family tearfully send you off because they can't come with you and yet be so happy for you.
I remember stumbled across The Adventures Of Paddington Bear once and enjoyed it a lot.
Paddington's director: yo, what if we made a "cute creature trapped in a big city while being helped by a disturbed family" trope, but made it good?

For instance, a man who acts cruel/neglectful towards their pet dog would most likely to be the same way with their partner and children. It’s like they say: Animals are People Too.
