Definately do Paddington 2, My Mum who is 70, loves both these films.
Paddington is one of those rare movies of the many, many, I've seen that I found to be absolutely delightful. (Same with Paddington 2, btw.) It was something I'd hoped to get with that other movie about the doll that came out last year, but that wasn't happening.
So far the Paddington films have been a blast. I hope #3 will follow suit in pure enjoyment. Definitely watch the 2nd.
Hugh Grant plays the villain in Paddington 2. That is where the confusion might come from.

Hey Rolly, please be the first to watch Steven Spielberg's 1941. It bombed in 1979. John Milius "Conan the Barbarian" and Robert Zemeckis story. My dad loved this film. All star cast. John Williams soundtrack. When John Belushi touches down on A highway in death valley. And John's musical score kicks in. You know this is madness.😂 Oh yeah this is sexy Nancy Allen from robocop. Christopher Lee. All star cast. Dan Aykroyd John Candy.
When Paddington is getting the cab ride there’s an older gentleman raising his glass to him. That’s Michael Bond the author of the original Paddington Bear kids books. On Christmas Eve he saw the saddest looking teddy bear he’d ever seen all alone in a shop. On impulse he bought it for wife and wrote the stories later.
I love this one, Oliver (and Huxley)! Thank you for reacting to it. And, yes, do the sequel, as well. Many say it's a tad better than this one. 🧸 Director Paul King also did WONKA (2023) which I think you'll love, too.

The Mission Impossible scene is ironic considering that Kidman was married to Cruise from 1990 to 2001.
I’m glad you enjoyed this film, and I would love for you to see the sequel. If you’re looking other amazing family films I’d recommend The Borrowers (1997), Pete’s Dragon (1957), The Amazing Panda Adventure, and The Little Giants.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the current president of Ukraine, was an actor who did voice-overs before entering politics. He was the Ukrainian voice of Paddington.
The second movie is even better than the first.
