Frank had a falling out with Peter Lawford over getting President Kennedy to stay at his Palm Springs home on vacation. It fell out because of Robert Kennedy, then Attorney General who advised John not to stay at Frank’s home due to his rumored connections to the Mob. He stayed instead at Bing Crosby’s home.

The plot centers around a relentless sheriff determined to bring the elusive outlaw to justice. As the chase unfolds, the film delves into themes of justice, survival, and the harsh realities of life in the Wild West
I have loved this western from the first moment I saw it in the 60’s. Yes it’s a remake ‘nearly’ of Gunga Din but it’s still a fun and enjoyable romp. Sinatra is good but Dean steals the film. Frank produced this film the only one he would ever commit funds to. There’s a lot of action sequences and, in a buggy fight, Frank did most of his own stunts against the wishes of John Sturgess the Director. John couldn’t argue with his boss - Sinatra.!!…$$….
