I hope Ray does a full play through once the full release comes out this is fun to watch. Also, it's nice to see Ray have a good time instead of suffering for our entertainment for a change.
Fun fact, the time period that the hotel flashback takes place is likely winter because of the olive flounder; eel is supposedly better in summer but pike is arguably better in winter. I love the seasonality of Japanese food and I’m so happy they included it in the game! It’s so detailed and not just here’s some tuna and shrimp.
I watched the first part of Dave the diver for 30 minutes and then bought the game myself to experience it and now have over 12 hours of it lol It was worth the $20 immensely. This is the second time watching ray stream has let me to buy a game that was awesome.

This game is essentially stardew meets subnautica and as a marine bio major obsessed with both it’s so enjoyable. Normally I like to watch your vods in the background but I’ve been attached to the screen throughout the play through so far!
I'm quite sure the ability to use the knife/melee weapon on the glowing tentacles is just so you don't softlock while not having a UV light. In case somehow the light runs out and you're behind the glowing tentacles.
I always love seeing glasses leaving messages for TH-cam at the beginning. My sushi order always changes because everything is good, but my favorite is an eel and avocado roll.
Bought this game because of Ray. There's not much more content that Ray didn't get to, but so far I have discovered two decently sized chunks of content. Mild spoilers below. . . . 1. The gambling house that Ray briefly visited at the end. There are two gambling minigames you can bet on, and after you find the missing seahorses, a major seahorse racing section opens up. You can bring in seahorses you catch, each with different stats, and race them against NPCs through a series of races, including solo and team races. 2. Big action movie director Michael Bang shows up as your next VIP and Otto opens up yet another farming area for you, this time for rice, and, presumably, other plants that can be grown on soil. There's probably a little bit more, but I haven't yet completed Michael Bang or the Village rep quest.
The Michelin tire man is supposedly based off an alien. No joke, the older depictions of him are a little unsettling. He used to smoke cigars, drink and pop caps.

Glasses, there's a sushi roll that I get every time, it's a Volcano roll (or Louisiana roll, they're very similar). It's a regular California roll, with a baked topping slopped on, which usually has mushrooms, onions, scallops, crawfish, imitation crab and spicy mayo.

Hi glasses! And everyone else as well. If I'm getting sushi I usually go with Sashimi, if which Albacore (White Tuna) is the poggest of Champs. If I do go for a roll, I get a pickled plum and cucumber roll and the place I go to uses a pink soypaper roll, so I usually get it when I want to unsubtly alert my fellow dinners to my queerness. Loved the first vod, and excited to get rolling on this one! Edit: i do feel as if I only have 1 brain cell while watching Ray content. @ 23:30 when he found the flask, I without hesitation asked "Cassius? ", about 1 seconds or so before Ray chimed in with a simple resolved "Cassius"
Why is this game so good! Definitely hope it will be on console one day. (This is a game Please don’t eat sharks in real life tho. We over fished in real life and exotic fish hunting is not great. Amazing fantasy world lol)
Is a sham that by this point he still hasn't realize the fish had a Yield system with 1-3 stars, being that the more stars the more meat you get. was a bit unfortunately to see him kill jellyfish and only get one meat out of it when if he knocked it out or used a net gun could give him 3-4 meat instead of the 1. he also some times throws away the heath 2 star instead of the dead 1 star which gives only 1 meat, most fish give 1 when dead unless it is large fish like Shark.
i love vegetarian sushi but i could never gather the courage to eat Real sushi 💀🍣 i’d better do it before i die but every bone in my body just screams that raw = death

Full release is slated for the first half of 2023. Today on their Discord, one of the Devs said they're planning on posting a detailed roadmap soon.
