Just a fun fact - Yamaoka, the first VIP, is likely a reference to the manga Oishinbo, in which a father and son are constantly at odds over cuisine and whose cooking is better. Yamaoka is the dad and has the same vibes as this guy, down to the dialogue and fashion. Taught me a lot about the nuances of not only Japanese cuisine but lots of individual ingredients.
blue holes are a real thing in the ocean btw. fucking terrifying to swim or dive thru. however the ecology doesnt reset upon entering and leaving it tho lmao
I'm not sure if they meant to make the noise sound like this, but every time Bancho finishes cooking and goes "Dish!", it makes me crack up. Especially during the enhancement scene.
Glasses, my favourite sea creatures are orcas. Not only do they look super cool, they're actually really friendly! There's been no recorded human deaths from wild orcas, despite their immense size and the fact that they're apex predators.
Hi glasses! I would be doing much better if my cars engine didn’t die 3 times in the past 4 months, meaning I’ve only had it for like ~45 days since September. Besides that Colossal Squid are cool cause they fight sperm whales >:D

This game seems awesome but as an oceanography major there are a few things that sadden me. The dolphins and the sharks should be switched, sharks aren't typically aggressive but dolphins can be, and have been known to gang rape people :/ I don't think I could play this game and have to kill sharks, they're my favorite animal. So i'll just enjoy Ray's playthrough and close my eyes for shark deaths.

its actually a remake of very old pc game, it is very addictive to get better gear, dive deeper, would be ace on a gameboy or something portable.
