After trying and failing to replicate a spiral staircase I saw on-screen for like 4 seconds in a let's play, this tutorial was a godsend. I'm basing in an ocean monument this world, and I've gotten sick of slowly climbing up and down the ladder in the central dropshaft over and over again when I can run so much faster upstairs. Thank you for helping me improve my home

@blaze_8952 holy crap. How big was your building? I made a pretty massive tree house and my much narrower spiral staircase took up so much space it was ridiculous. Now I don't even know what on earth to do with the trunk of the tree area because so much of it is staircase and I am not taking it down after finally getting it built lol. I would LOVE to see what you built tho!!
If only this trick would work for me. I'm building around a 5 block centre, circular tower that doesn't go straight up, it's shaped like a vertical ~. Maybe I can use this for smaller builds though:)
Question - I built a tower in my survival realm and have a water soul sand elevator in the middle, the water space is 3x3 with glass around the perimeter, 3 glass outside of each water space. Im trying to make my spiral staircase, but I dont know exactly how to make it look better. I have 3 blocks outwards from the glass to the wall, and the entire room’s dimensions are 9x9 but the corners have been rounded, so there are “arrowheads” in the corners. any tips?
Does anyone know how to expand this when going 4 blocks out on all sides? I want to make a grand staircase, but can't really figure out how to make it look good Edit: Also, tips on incorporating multiple coloured blocks would be great! Edit 2: Actually, I figured out how to make the 4-wide staircase! I can't describe it very well, but it involves a lot of T-shapes with some things added to it.

I keep hitting the ceiling when I go up. When I get rid of that ceiling block, then I exit the spiral staircase into empty space. Help! Can you please show us a staircase build like this to a second floor?

Nice looking stairs, easy to make. Is it the same for a 2x2 core?
You could use the same method, working out from the center and it would work. Even numbers are normally quite tricky things to work with.

What about spiral stairs that go around a larger circle shape instead of a tiny tree
if the centre is a diameter of an odd number, just make the small one and cut out the middle. if it's an even number diameter, idk.

Yep should be a similar idea. Using L's and T's should work after some trial and error. Even numbers are tough.
What do you do if to make your room symmetrical you need a 2 or 4 block centre, not a 1 block centre?
To elaborate, I have a 4x4 area I would like to build a spiral staircase between floors in my castle... Everything I do seems to turn out a disaster

I tend to avoid having a post in the middle of my spiral staircases, and arrange them mostly out of + shapes with some H-s.
