One of the better, less pretentious, behind the scene videos I have seen for quite a while... I think you have found a new fan... As a full time photographer its alway great to see down to earth real professionals working their craft.. Well done...

Wauv Sergey - you just got a new fan and subscriber! I’m also very interested in a behind-the-editing video to see how you (or your retoucher) comes up with the final look, that I simply love. So many questions. Raw development, plug-ins, grading etc. Fingers crossed you’ll let us in on your techniques.
Hi Peter, thanks for your support! I do all of the photo and video retouching myself. Here's the retouching video that I made earlier: th-cam.com/video/Mx0xXskqi7U/w-d-xo.html
I wonder if its the kids or the whole family or the location or the camera or the lens or the photographer or the viewer, these are epic photos one can dream of..very well executed..Great work..I never get tired of watching this video..
Sergey big question, this photos look great here but if do you want to print them is possible? because I pause the video and notice not everyone is in focus, so do you print of just digital photos. So if are you going to print you will increase the aperture to 2.8? or still keeping it at 1.2 ?
Great Video & Very Insightful. What time of day was this photo shoot done? Is this during the early morning? Just trying to understand where the sun is in the sky? These are very nice photos.
Really appreciate your work man❤. Amazing group photography with crisp sharp focus everytime plz tell me how did u managed to get this kinda focus. And i really like this preset plz me if u are giving it for free😋
These are beyond amazing! Do you mind sharing why the phone tripod and how I can use it? 4 months photographer here & I have both the RP AND R6 and I’m curious!
I have been looking for this type of information and details. Simply amazing amazing photos! You are good! I would be curious if you use any type of preset for these awesome pictures. 👏👏👏
Shooting 1.2 with a group and still hitting focus! Very good! I use the same setup for my portrait shoots. I have a family of 5 session in the morning.
Soooo in this video how did u get them all in focus @ f1.2 since they are not on the same focal plane? Parents in the back and kids in the front. Love the edits
Thank you! Yes, if I position everyone in the straight line to the camera, then they will all be in focus. Here is my video on this topic: th-cam.com/video/dxhFMJCz8k0/w-d-xo.html
I've not seen him use OCF and it's really encouraging. You won't have to take all the heavy equipment around. The magic happens in the post production. Can't wait to see how he edits the images. Keep it up bro
@@marvinbonaga3150 I do use sometimes OCF for my shoots, specifically for this shoot, I did not use it. It's ALL ABOUT HOW YOU CHOOSE SPOTS AND HOW YOU POSE YOUR SUBJECT TO THE LIGHT... POST PROCESS ONLY ENHANCE ALREADY GOOD IMAGE.
Very generous thos show this photoshoot. One question, do you conect your camara to you cell phone so it can records what you see in the view finder?? Thx so much
With an 85mm at F1.2 at 12 feet, the DOF is 5 and 3/8 inches. I would suspect if you zoomed into the faces you would see they aren’t that sharp. Especially with kids this isn’t practical. But then again most people don’t care if the faces are a little out of focus. Personally I aim to keep everything tack sharp so I stop down to f4 or f5.6 for a group this size.
Sergey, your images in this video are tack sharp and have wonderful soft lighting. I am mainly an amateur wildlife and landscape photographer. However, I have shot thousands of family images over the last 40 years. I would dearly love to be able to shoot family photos like yours. I wonder if you could answer two questions: 1) How can you shoot moving subjects wide open at F1.2 and still achieve crystal clear images. I thought that the only way of achieving this was to shoot at F8 or above. 2) I assume that you used presets in these images - if so, which ones do you use? I think that your images in this video are some of the best I have ever seen. Well done. Alun
The way you interacted with this family . Im just smiling
Thank you! They were super fun and easy going family :)
I really like the versatility of the positioning in this photoshoot! amazing job

thanks! but then my next Q is where do you point the focus box at to make sure its all sharp?
Sergey, to have everyone in focus at 1.2, are you keeping your models on on the same focus plane? or taking multiple photos and composting later?
Yes I try to position everyone on the same focus plane. I always strive to get the shot perfectly during the shoot, and only do minimal processing.
@@SergeyBidun howwww do u achieve that as I shoot even at f4 and both persons never yet sharp. Have to crank that f number up to a f7.1 or d8
