I have the 40W on order, looks promising...a bit small work area though.....just hope the spot size is small and does great on engraving as well as cutting 🤞😊

I ran the machine after the video- off camera and I like the engraving quality and cutting. It feels like a 40 watt laser should. I used the Xtool XCS software and on engraving the air pump automatically ran on low and on the cut layer it turned up to full power automatically! The base work area is a little smaller but I'm hoping to get the automatic passthrough and go from 19.6x 12.5 to 19.6 by 118! Thanks for watching!

@@thelaserchannel1 Good to hear 👍I am a little unlucky in that I live in Norway, and here the conveyor is not available....not in europe at all I think....something to do with classification.I would also love to be able to use the passthrough..but nahh 🥴

I'm not impressed by the S1 and feel xTool is misleading folks by saying it's a Class-1 laser and then providing you with goggles if you purchase the riser/conveyor. Also, the positioning system is described by them as super accurate, then why does the P1 use two (2) cameras? The positioning system is beyond time consuming and useless when using previously used pieces of wood that still has spots scattered around that can still be used. And dragging the laser head around by grabbing it can't be good for long term use. As for safety, if the laser was running and someone walked by, even a child, and they flipped open the access the panel, the laser would NOT stop, and the person could have permanent eye damage. But of course they never mention that stuff.

Hi- you are certainly welcome to express your option. I'm not here to change your mind or say that you are wrong.
My experience with the S1 has been positive for me. The class 1 laser is the red crosshair while the main 40 watt laser is a class 4. I found the red crosshairs on the S1 to be very clean and sharp- much more than the D1 series machine that are wider and sometimes a little fuzzy. The lid on S1 immediately stops the laser and all motion. The passthrough option will open a small gap that could let some scatter laser light out- all passthroughs will have this gap- the safety glasses included with the passthrough shows Xtool's commitment to for us laser users.
