  • In this thought-provoking video, I delve into some profound insights of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore's "Gitanjali," exploring how our pursuit of progress and success might be paradoxically binding us. Written more than a 100 years back, Tagore's poetic wisdom inspires some amazing insights about the modern life, and exposes how modern society's race for advancement often overlooks the essence of true freedom and fulfillment.
Join me as I reflect on Tagore's poetic expressions about freedom, growth, and the unintended chains of development. This video will not only analyse Tagore's viewpoints but also connect them with contemporary examples, illustrating the relevance of his thoughts in today's world. Whether you're a lover of poetry, a seeker of deeper societal understanding, or someone curious about the impacts of modern progress, this video will offer you fresh perspectives and meaningful insights.
I talk about the meaning behind Tagore's critique of modern progress in his poem from "Gitanjali",
some real-world examples of how the pursuit of development can restrict personal and collective freedom, and practical ways to reclaim genuine progress that harmonises with our deeper needs and aspirations.
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more videos that bring literary insights into modern-day dilemmas. Share your thoughts in the comments below on how you interpret freedom in the age of relentless progress.
In genuine hopes that this lands.
    Until next time.
    Peace out.

    Hi Chetan,
Whenever I read Tagore, particularly Gitanjali, I find that it is like mini-upanishad, removing Upanishadic complexity. Every time I read Gitanjali, I am easily able to relate as to why even a pessimist like Schopenhaeur said that Upanishads are solace of his life and death.
My name is Hitesh, a 3rd Yr B.A.,LL.B student at National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. I love and wait for your videos. The reason being your simple explanation and soothing voice. I would be very happy if I could contribute to your channel and make it our channel in terms of content generation. It would be great if you could share your contact details so that I can talk you over phone call and have deeper philosophical discussions with you and take the path less travelled by joining your cause.
    Thanks a lot.

@@ChetanNarangOfficial It means a lot to get support from you. It is after a long time, perhaps after J Krishnamurti and Osho, that I just listened someone(you) with complete self -awareness.
I have messaged you on Instagram and waiting for your reply. I use Instagram only on the laptop, so might be a bit late in replying as I will be only able to reply when I open the laptop. Waiting eagerly for your response.
