Tip 4 - another reason I like Barb Barrel over log. Kill their Gob Barrel & Now you have a tank for the mortar - if nothing else to defend enough to see if you want to commit more defense of the mortar. Tornado (or evo Valk) - don't forget pulling things *into* the mortar so it locks onto a tower. Great Tips!
Top 50 mortar player here- very good video. A couple things you should have included is miner evo mortar where you miner the tower right before an evo mortar shot hits the tower and also miner the back of the tower when the opponent plays a tank in the middle to pull it behind and get a lock
For an immediate defense spells, I tend to use royal delivery. It takes out air troops, most small support, and the Royal Recruit’s shield and health makes it a better defense unit than the barbarian from the barb barrel. It may cost more, but used effectively, it can make a heavy push or solid defense crumble to pieces. Edit: My deck by the way is Evo Mortar, Evo Zap, Dark Prince, Prince, Hunter, Poison, Mega Minion, and Royal Delivery.

Honestly I’m actually not that worried about the nerf! I don’t think it’s going to kill mortar that much, and I think it’s proportional to all the other evo nerfs which will limit the effect on mortar. That being said, I am scared for void 😳
I play mortar with knight, musk, miner, poison, minions, log, ice spirit. But I struggle a lot against recruits especially Evo recruits and goblin giant push is nightmare. Any tips regarding how to play it or against recruits in general
Of course! I would say the way you cycle your musketeer is most important! Try to make sure you always play her in the back and never play her too early (I.e wait for a push before you play her, unless you can cycle to a 2nd one). Against recruits try to make sure you constantly pull them to the middle, with your musketeer placed infront of your king tower and use the knight to pull everything to the middle. I hope this helps! :)

Try to cycle your knight as much as possible, and save your skeleton barrel only for when the dagger dutchess is out of ammo!
