My first launch on the 300' hill there took 20+ minutes of standing there thinking about it... Instructor Don Burns didn't push me at all...'take your time, when it feels good you'll go.' A few years later a magic day and I went off the top (1750') and boated up/around Mission Peak and when I got back to Ed Levin I couldn't get down. Trying to find air that wasn't going up and spiraling down 200' and then back in lift :-/ I was so wore out...and landed 1/2 hour after the park closing and won a 30-day suspension from the park. It was a certificate of accomplishment! So many great memories! Ed Levin was a great place to learn and later bosses accepted my leaving work late afternoon when the weather robot said it was going :-)
Are my eyes deceiving me! Is that 'Tarp' material you are using as wing covering? Scary!!! I once met a guy who did his whole ultralight in tarp material... Double Scary!!!
That was great. I was getting a little worried about rollers slamming you low on the next set of mounds but you were a lot closer. Cool stuff!👍
