@@figtreegrower3152 do you mind sharing with us what kind of soil mix, fertilizer, and what zone you in? I find it very difficult to find a soil mix that works for me.
I’m in Cincinnati area- zone 6. This year I have been using ocean forest mix by fox farm. In the past I’ve used miracle grow potting mix and fertilome ultimate potting mix. The ocean forest has more porosity and is less water retentive
@@figtreegrower3152 Thank you so much. Knowing that you live in a similar zone as me, I can start eliminating what I currently have and downsize to 36 like you 😅😅
Sorry to bother you, but are you ok with making a list of your varieties and add in front of each one if it’s late or not? That will really help us in what to invest in, specially if we only need to collect figs are easier to grow in zone 6b Thank you.
I really like the 5 gallon for the first year. After that I go to a 10 or 15. Most of mine are in 15. I think that’s a nice size for mature trees. I do have some in 25 gallon but those are really heavy and very very tough to pick up
How do you move those pots without killing your back?! You have a lot of the same varieties as I do. I’m looking for a verdolino if you have a reputable source. Thanks
Thanks man. Yes, Bill has great trees. I get a lot of my stuff from him. Quality stuff! Does your HOA say anything to you about all those on your driveway? Mine would! Lol
I forgot to ask. Where do you get your quality 15 gallon pots? Amazon is $20 and I also found them for $5 for the same quality pot from online “wholesale” sites. Didn’t know if that was a scam since the price difference for the same pot was so great. Thanks
I have bought from various places. Local hydroponic stores, some Amazon , some from online greenhouse type stores. It can be hit or miss for prices and name brand pots. I like the gro pro pots the most
"Figway" - lol! Looking great Travis.
Heck yeah man. Great collection and progress. Thanks for the walk through. Very exciting
Glad you liked it! Figs baby!!!
Man you have some great looking trees brother, gonna be a great year! Excellent growing.
Thanks Ktrain! I’m hoping so
Great looking trees. I wasted so much money collecting varieties left and right. Your collection is the best I’ve seen so far. 👍🏽
Thanks! I sure enjoy it. I get what you’re saying about putting a lot of money into it- it’s easy for things to snowball

The leaves are so green & healthy. What do u feed them?
Those are looking great. I still don't have figlets on my 3rd year CLBC here in 9b Arizona.
Did you get many figs off it last year?
@@figtreegrower3152 None. But I know it's one of those that take its sweet time. It's in ground and growing very well. Same with my Pastilliere.
Very nice! I got preto, clbc, and cravens coming in today from off the beaten path. Ready to get those bad boys going at it.
I really like the trees from otbp
What’s your growing zone please?

Thank you.
Do you only get breba if the tree doesn't die back?
Correct. Breba grow on last years wood and main crop on this years growth.
Very nice😊
The flavor of the figs improves over time, I have an LSU tiger I hope they are better than the other year
Yep
Good looking healthy trees! Did these trees get a head start in a greenhouse? Which state are you in?
I’m in Cincinnati Ohio. They stay in my garage over winter and when they start to wake up in early March I put them under grow lights in the garage
Fellow Ohioan here, up in Toledo. What is your go-to pot size?

I have plant caddy type rollers I use. I really like off the beaten path for purchasing trees

Thanks. I’ve used those before and they’re durable 🤙🏼
What size pots are those? 10 gallons?
Most are in 15 gallon.
Do you sell cuttings at the end of the season? Nice plants man, loving the videos
We will see. I’ll post on here if so
What state are you in?
