I tryed to put up with my mental illnesses for so long thinking that they were just how everyone kind of feel not knowing how a normal person feels. I know now. Wish I started 25 years ago. I'm 35.
My sis took this after experiencing post pardum depression, and it for her was like magic. She had a rough couple of weeks, and then slowly but surely became her old self. That was over 20 yrs ago, and after going off it once, she crashed in about 2 months. She now says she'll never stop taking it again. Me on the other hand, it did nothing for my OCD, GAD and depression. Venlafaxine at this point, seems to work best for me. Hope you have continued success with this med. ps I like your hair!

Hello! I just began to take Sertraline about three weeks ago for my General Anxiety and possibly OCD. The first night that I took it I couldn't fall asleep, but then slept for an hour. At 1:30 in the morning, I had this terrible feeling as if I was going to die. I felt trembling, confused, panicked, a bit sweaty, and I thought I was going to pass out. Luckily my mother was spending the night with my sister and I for a visit. She helped me to calm down. I felt more stable later on, though I couldn't sleep for the rest of the day. I've been taking it, but I started again at half the dose (to 25 mg) until I felt more comfortable to increase the dose. My doctor told me it will take about 6-8 weeks before I feel the effects and I hope it does make a difference. I still suffer from the occasional insomnia, but I haven't gotten as bad as my first time that I took it.

The one day I just felt high. The second week was easier just digestive issues and it caused me to have 3 panic attacks like I’ve never had before. Hopefully this week will be much better. True Beat I’m a month in. My doctor started me on buspirone to help with the panic attacks. Almost all the side effects are gone. Still have a bit of digestive issues. I’ve noticed an improvement in my mood.

I'm taking it for my anxiety, depression & panic disorder. It's been one week already and I notice the first 3 days I did feel nauseous and had a migraine for 2 days straight but after they went way. After that I felt hyper and my thoughts were on point. Now I'm a week in and I feel depressed and anxious. Let's see what happens in 2 weeks Forgot to mention that the first 4 days I couldn't sleep either. I'm taking 50mg.

@@SuperTed. no I'm in the US. I think I've been doing way better than I was when I was on anti depressants. I feel more alive now. I started using acid last year and it has helped me out a lot. The only thing I have to learn how to control is my anxiety, that one still acts up once in a while.
I had to get back on it as my anxiety came back and I was getting panic attacks(no fun). Dr put me back on it, I'm day 6 today, I feel it helping in some areas so far, I know it takes time!

Frank Lopez it didn’t end up working for me unfortunately I gave it 9-10 weeks and I ended up doing a gene test and now I’m on Effexor. The Zoloft doesn’t work well with my gene type so makes sense why it didn’t work. Wish I knew that before

am on it as well i take 200 ml a day and they make me spew as well and don’t find them working for me tbh keep getting sore heads and making my head forgetfully as well x
This is true. I don't have OCD but anxiety. The symptoms are the same for me. I could also feel it working. Now I have had my dosage bumped up... Now I have coldy symptoms like sore throat and muscle aches and headaches. Did you experience any of this? I am so happy to hear it's working. Xoxo

Been on Prozac first then Lexpro myself along with Seroquel for sleep which I hate. That drug is just horrible for weight gain. Gained 30 pounds on it. :(
Want to ruin your brain? Stay on it. When the side effects become too much and you want to get off it good luck with that too. Ad's are almost impossible to get off.

I’m on day 5 and feel really sick all the time and twitchy - it’s a strange feeling!
Start with 25Mg per day and up it 25mg every week until you get 100mg the minimum amount for high anxiety.

It’s not Zoloft, it’s just sertraline, no brand name. I’ve started and it’s my first day now night time and I’m not feeling great at all
