There's glue/setting spray that's meant for reefs! If anyone is considering doing this, I highly recommend using extra thick reef glue/spray from somewhere like Bulk Reef Supply
Looks great but the Glue with the hardener is not for acrylic, for stones is is perfect. I use it for all my scapes and frags too. The stones will be loose when you shake them
Don't need to spray that much of the accelerator, just one spray will do. Hopefully you wash it before putting in the water. I spray it on when I am attaching a frag and I immediately dip it in clean salt water before putting it into the tank.
Maybe some meat corals in the sand bed like trachys, acanthos, scollys, etc and SPS on the rock work. SPS would get nice higher lighting up top and the meat corals would still be okay and getting some nice shading to where they don’t get over lit
Agreed, I love the look but the bond will not support that weight over time. The only way I would consider this would be to bend a thick piece (to minimise flex) of acrylic and silicon as much of the other side of the 90 degree bend to the back wall as space would permit. Poor bond but additional surface area might do the trick.
*What do you think of this floating reef? 🤩 Stay tuned to see more videos about this tank! Would you like to see a store tour? 💬*
Looks great! Would love to see the finished product, with some coral and fish swimming around.
Stay tuned! Gotta cycle. ;)
Looks awesome! Btw, where could I purchase the plastic or acrylic clear shelves? My tank is similar to the tank used in this video.
why do you always like your own comments
@@chir0pter the pinned comment? Because it makes it stand out, I pin it as well.

Danny this is beautiful. I love it when people have awesome aquascaping ideas. I like how the tray is vented, it's really well thought out and clean.
With this type of aquscape, Scolly and Mushroom will make it look awesome.
Would love to see this tank today
That came out amazing!

Verry cool. We hope next week to see your progress in the shop 👍
What does this tank look like now after a year? Very interested.
Goeie video Danny! Keep up the good work!
Hey Danny, :) Do you know where i can get the plastic piece you siliconed to the back wall ?
always entertained with amazing videos, good scaping. love it
Thanks, I really appreciate your support!
Ziet er geweldig uit! Ben er vandaag nog geweest👍🏽💯
I would love to see what it looks like today
That's awesome. I might do something like this on my next tank. I can't wait to see it with some fish and coral.
It’s really nice!
It's looking grt ❤️🤗
Thanks, Sahab!
A real Gem!
What kind of tank is this?
Great video like always. As for the critters, you could maybe have a yellowhead jawfish or some type of blennies.
What tank is that next to it
Danny what is that glue that you have used?
I'd like to see sps in different colors on top and sun corals and non photosynthetic gorgonians on the underside hanging downwards
Great ! Where can I found platform? ty
Nice and awesome
Where can I purchase the same plastic/acrylic shelves?
How to do the floating bridge ?
Cool idea! How did you attach the shelf to the tank wall? Did you use silicone?
Yes we did! :D

How did you attach the platform to the back glass?
Using the silicone! :)

It looks amazing, my only concern would be the space under woulkd not get enough light for corals.
That’s the whole point of a floating reef haha, nothing on the bottom of the tank. ;)
nice
Size tank?
It’s a 170 series from Red Sea.
Can we please get an update on this tank?
Hey,
Warum nimmst du kein Glas als Plattform?
Very nice! Which store is that?
The name and location was displayed full screen during this video! You’d see if you watch.
@@DannysAquariums Well I did and saw it the second time I watched it. It was shown very brief, guess I missed it ;)
I cant find part 2 update from this video
Sorry, there is no part 2! They sold it 🫣
What was he spraying on the rock?
An accelerator for the glue to harden.
Which used lidht name?
Red Sea LED!
Update please 🙏🏻🙏🏻
How does the aquarium look now?
Unfortunately they broke down the tank and sold it to a customer.
@@DannysAquariums Too bad. I am currently planning such an aquarium and would have been happy to see it finished.
Keep it up.
Greetings from Germany.
i reckon some blue green chromises might work
I think you should add some shrimps and I think macro algae should be nice too (≧▽≦)
There’s a sea horse tank besides it, that tank will have a lot of macro algae. We may stock this tank with some cool premium corals! :D
@@DannysAquariums cool, I love sea horses
Destined to Fail. Acrylic to Glass Bonds fail under loads not even close to that.

This screams acans for me
