    Something I am definitely considering, working conditions and respect for doctors seem to be so much better there it seems

    I would appreciate if you could elaborate about the 1 year supervised job after GMC registration to be eligible to get registration in Australia.

    Does Australia offer non training job opportunities or training ones as well? If one is planning a career path can Australia be considered for training after fy2.

    • @Kiran.Morjaria
      @Kiran.Morjaria  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually people go for non training roles but then if you’ve worked for a year I believe you can then apply for training (but I’d need to check this)

    But it is impossible for international junior doctors incl uk to get specialty training in Australia without references from local consultants

    • @Kiran.Morjaria
      @Kiran.Morjaria  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most people will go there first to work before going into speciality training

    I think there should be contractual agreements between the NHS and doctors who train to be obliged to do a certain amount of years etc practice before going abroad unless for a sabbatical or work experience or unless its for poor countries who lack doctors.
    Why should we be paying for doctors to train only for them to go to Austrailia ?!!! sorry but it seems kind of selfish reasons for training to be a doctor,maybe there are others who might be better suited !!

    • @ell366
      @ell366 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You have to work for two years in the UK post medical school before you'll be considered to be able to work abroad as a doctor.

    • @Kiran.Morjaria
      @Kiran.Morjaria  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Interesting! People tend to do this as more of a career break rather than a long term to thing, it’s pretty relentless the escalator of medical training once you’re on it so it’s a nice change!

    • @user-zw7dk5lk3v
      @user-zw7dk5lk3v 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      The training in this country is pretty bad, many hours very little pay to show for it, along with the bullying and BAME discrimination, it's very much justified to leave as and when we'd want.
      Don't forget, we pay for our degrees and the salary when you're training is like £13 an hour which, considering medicine is at least a 5 year commitment, isn't worth it in the slightest. They treat junior doctors like trash because they know that you NEED to do your foundation training. So why not be selfish when the people who dictate the rules are selfish themselves?

      Stop taking doctors from other countries then uk! 45% of our doctors in the uk are foreign FROM poorer countries. The colonisers double standard at play

    Stay away...far too many Asian doctors here already. Most are in the outer suburbs where all the workers and bogans live. Apartheid? You only have to look at the Australian medical system.
