    Paul said thank you for the shout out! We appreciate it 😊 Many junior doctors ask us about the rest of the process but we only deal with the notarisation so will link them to your channel- you've laid everything out so clearly, very helpful!

    With minor differences, this is largely the process IMGs need to go through to register with the GMC in order to work in the UK.

    Hello Surina! Your videos have been sooo helpful especially since videos on fy3 in australia are so rare!
    Could you please make a video on how to get a training job in australia after F2? Surgical training to be exact 😅

    • @drsurinataneja
      @drsurinataneja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pretty impossible to get straight on the training programmes, you'll have to do a few years of RMO-ing first! Esp for surgery.

    Hi, thanks for your videos. Many of us are grateful for the content you provide. If I may ask (as a medical student in the UK) is it possible to pursue a career in Surgery in Australia as an IMG? A lot of the information online seems quite discouraging.

    • @drsurinataneja
      @drsurinataneja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure is if you're will to put in a lot of work in to your portfolio and several years of non-training surgical jobs before you get on to the training programme (typically) - not impossible but definitely a few more hoops to jump through (esp as an IMG)

    Excellent work, Surina, but you omitted to include details of your dodgy mate "Paul" in Glasgow. Do we look under "Certified Notary; Pre Loved Auto Trader and Tarmacadam Driveway Contractor"... haha but seriously, why a notary so far from Londinium? Clearly, your accent suggests little time spent North of the Border. Well, North generally I would have thought.

    • @drsurinataneja
      @drsurinataneja  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whoops added now 🙈 nope never spent much time North! Used him as he was recommended and very convenient as all done online 🙂

    Thank you! You explain everything so clearly and make it so much easier. I’m currently in India and planning to do my core psych training in the UK. Do you feel I could get specialty training in Australia after 3 years of core training or would I have to repeat the training there? Or should I wait till I receive a CCT and then plan on deciding to move?

    • @drsurinataneja
      @drsurinataneja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it is generally harder to come during training, before starting or after CCTing seem to be the two main routes. Not sure for psych specifically though.

      It would definitely be a video my partner (doctor) and I would watch. We're thinking of emigrating permanently but are wondering how quick he can apply to a specialty training programme after receiving full registration following his first year, likely from being an RMO. I think one of our concerns are what happens after he finishes a 1-year post as an RMO, and how easy it is to find another posting, and then what happens if he struggles to find another job quickly? So much we still need to look into, but your videos have helped with a lot of the legwork so thank you :)

    Thank you for the very informative video, it was very helpful. I have a question. I did my internship in India 5 years ago and then worked in India for 3 years. After that, I completed the PLAB and started working in the UK, where I've completed 12 months as a clinical fellow in dermatology (supervised practise, but cannot be considered as an internship). I’ve received a job offer in Australia and am currently applying for AHPRA provisional registration. For question number 13 on the APRI-30 form (internship or comparable), which internship should I provide as proof? Should it be my internship in India or my 12 months of experience in the UK? If it's the UK experience, what kind of letter should it be, and from whom?

    Do you know anything about UK graduates working in Australia who also have Australian citizenship? I'm a dual UK/Oz citizen and have both passports, so presumably wouldn't need a visa (I don't need one to enter Australia) but I wonder how it would change my application to work there, and whether they'd still consider me an international doctor. I have a UK medical degree & GMC registration
