Back in Shadowlands when we had discovered Enemy Infiltration we learned that the dreadlords had finally managed to find a life agent and infiltrate the life force despite this being their hardest target. Seeing that 3 years had passed since then who could this agent be?
We have the famous whisper beware the eyes of green, we had Ysera coming back from the Shadowlands. Could Denathrius and the dreadlords had infiltrated the green dragonflight. We know that N'zoth and the Jailer are talking about the same big bad what is to come so could Denathrius now have switched allegiances from Zovaal to the Old gods? Are we seeing the return of dreadlords in Dragonflight?

Honestly, the whole Jailer storyline was BS and they should have just made Denathrius and the Nathrezim the actual villains from the beginning! Like seriously, if anybody is playing 4th or 5th Dimensional Chess with the Cosmos it is Denathrius and The Nathrezim!
Also can the Ret@#£ed C@#£s at Blizzard and Activision knock-off the whole "but actually the Evil Villains weren't actually Evil Villains" plot twist, it's getting repetitive!
its gotta be Merithra. She didn't get a unique remodel and she is Ysera's daughter.
It could be a Nathrezim disguised as one of those characters rather than the character themselves. We know Nathrezim can shapeshift, and those loyal to Denathrius love to play the long game. Maybe a Nathrezim will impersonate Malfurion or Merithra (after killing the latter, perhaps). If we take Il'gynoth whispers seriously, maybe the word to focus on is "disguises" rather than "treachery".

Yes, I'd much rather see him and his dreadlord army meet a fitting end. No more cliffhangers. Honestly I'd like to see that for all of the warcraft villains. They're always bringing people back from the dead so we can either ally with them or put em in the dirt all over again. Gul'dan, Kel'Thuzad, the Hellscreams, the Old Gods, Azshara, Archimonde, Ragnaros, Illidan, Sylvanas, jesus christ they just can't seem to close the door on any of them. Arthas seems like he's _the most dead_ right now, but I have my doubts that they'll be willing let his character rest. If someone in warcraft is dead or in prison, it's nothing more than a time-out for the IP.

I really liked denathrius would love to see him more though I have a feeling they try to distance themselves from Shadowlands as much as possible

Really hate to see people trash talk shadowlands STILL regarding lore when every damn expansion is a cliffhanger - ESPECIALLY dragonflight.
Denathrius is like Azshara; a vain get charismatic ruler with great supernatural power and a love-to-hate attitude. Plus, either of them could carry their own expansion.
I miss angry orcs and red bandana thugs...

Lord Itharius is a likely candidate for the life infiltrator as he has the trust of the greens and connections to corruption. He is the brother of Ysera's consort Eranikus (who was the first green dragon to fall to the nightmare's influence), as well as the ambassador for the green dragonflight.
In BfA he entered the Emerald Dream with Merithra and empowered the Emerald Essence. In Dragonflight he is also present in the Ancient Bough near the dreamportal after Ysera has returned and opened the way...
Itharius has green eyes.
After Shadowlands I'm convinced that we will continue to go to the realms of the cosmic forces and inevitably resolve the problems, gain allies and restructure the forces to unite the cosmos against the threat coming. Denathrius and his Legion of Dreadlords will continue to appear and directly oppose us, as he instead intends on feeding into the chaos and war to allow him to infiltrate and inevitably take over the control of the cosmos.

one issue with your theory, Merithra and Ysera are both shown to have blue eyes in the very clips you use in this video, personally I think it's more likely the eyes of green refers to Malfurion (green eyes)
Doesn’t Malfurion have golden eyes now since he earned them (according to the lore team)
@@azrael5912 no that was Illidans eyes to signify his status as the child of Light and Shadow (which he sacrificed later)
Malfurion is in statis in the death realm currently though. He wouldn't be to much use as an undercover life agent if he's locked outside of the life realm
@@valentin_gif who says he can't? After all Ardenweald is connected to the Dream and we appear to still be able to visit him for consult whenever we feel like. Maybe he's exactly where they need him? Even so just because he's currently in Ardenweald doesn't mean he can't be the vassal of life we were warned about, the dreadlords don't see the future unlike the old gods they couldn't know their pawn would be taken away temporarily (And yes he can and most likely will come back eventually)
Since the wording is "eyes of green", it could mean the eyes themselves aren't green but that the PERSON is green

All the whispers from NPCs when Ysera walks through with her daughter... that something was different about her... that she didn't seem herself... Vassal of Life is Freya though, no?
I think that the 2 original forces were light and shadow, the void exists outside of the pattern, but the void subverted shadow, drove the old gods out, seeking refuge. The Broker map does not say Void, it just says Shadow.
Denathrius I feel like was in it for personal power. He didn't really care about the Jailer's plan, but that he gained him power. We seriously messed his plan up for at least the short term. He's going to be back when we least expect it.
So a Green Drake isn't whom he/she seems. But Denathrius EndGame Goal is something left out there. But as clever as Denathrius and the Dreadlords are. They will never be ahead of the Void as there Access to Timelines they already know what there up to and made there steps with many things.
The problem with the void is that they know countless futures and you can't prepare for everything.
@MrKrulfaron very true, which is why there greatest weapon, and perhaps their weakness for the future is the Bronze Dragon Flight. The Infinite Nozdormu. The only Old God to have time knowledge is N'zoth non of the Old God's have access nor the knowing Knowledge. Which is perhaps why the Void Needs the Bronze Supreme corruption as with Nozdormu.
we never know how mal ganis escaped his prison in shadowland we captured him during a quest then for some reason he was in the raid

I am a believer of these lines both referencing Ysera. She was turned and influenced by Xavius in just a matter of seconds. And the shard he threw pierced her right at the heart, which could be alluding to the first death and us killing her corrupted self as the second. What if what they were hinting at something we literally witnessed in the questline leading up to the Emerald Nightmare raid, and the answer being in front of our eyes this entire time?
Even though Elune supposedly cleansed her after we killed her at the temple, the Nightmare was still present in the Ardenweald questline as we were saving her pod. What if this shard and its influence is still present within her?
A link between the Emerald Dream and the realm of life, Ardenweald and the Shadowlands, and Azeroth herself. The perfect anchor for the Old Gods to spread their influence further.
I still think we are missing the main point of the whisper, 'Beware the Eyes of Green.' Black Dragon Whelps have Green eyes. Meaning none of the Black Dragon Whelps we see in Dragonflight could be real. How do we even know that Sabellian and the other black dragons he brought are not Dread lords in disguise? Meaning his story about no longer being corrupted and then 'hearing' the Dragon Isle beacon from Outland is just that a story. A story crafted by the Dread lords to explain their presence.
what are the lines where he references the what is to come?
Blizzard loved Denathrius and they plan to use it? NO! The fans loved him and because of that they plan to use him! Denathrius was the only thing bad that was good from Shadowlands! If they'd make him the puppet master behind Zovaal in Shadowlands, I could've forgive Blizzard for that terrible story in the expansion.
I think the betrayer is going to be Malfurion
Merithra spent a very long time as a prisoner of the Old God's in Ahn'quiraj, it is possible her previous exposure could have a lasting effect, in addition there was once a file alluding to a corrupted Merithra so apparently the idea has been plated with before.
It has to be Malfurion :) he has the greenest eyes 👀, and it makes to most sense especially with supposedly taken spot in Ardenweld. His return might be a natherzim spy and it’s not the first time he has been taken out of action like that ?

As much as I hated Shadowlands, I actually liked Denathrius. My only complaint is I don't like the whole "agent in every place" trope. It cheapens the story and character agency when you find out (repeatedly) that everything you did was planned eons ago.
i really hope dreadlords underestimate realm of life. I wish Denathrius would lose at his own game at least once. it would be boring if the Drealords kept winning .

I'm going to say elune . Blizzard are using asceticaly green characters as a herring plot device to reveal elune as a surprise later on in the expansion where she will be evil, but definitely not evil. I don't know just a thought.

These 2 lines make me think that Merithra may be the life agent for Denathrius. What if the real Merithra is either killed or captured somewhere and the fake one is pretending to be her?

I dont know if this line meant Azeroth, Sylvanas or anyone else but what if its Ysera? Xavius probably killed her to turn her into a nightmare dragon, we killed her nightmare form and then she got reborn in Ardenweald *spoilers!!! she comes back to the dragon isles in the valdrakken campaign quests!!!spoilers*
What if evil Merithra shows her dreadlord form and kills Ysera?
I don't think Denathrius is for this expansion BUT I think it's for the next expansion. As someone else mentioned before... He deserves a proper expansion OR a expansion leading to him from start to finish that all connects to him. Don't think the old gods or the Primal Incarnates connect that Well...
If Denathrius was allied to Zovaal, and Zovaal was trying to stop a larger threat (just a misguided good guy basically), does that not mean Denathrius is just the same thing?

I am pretty much behind the lore now, but Merithra seems too suspicious. Look at her horns. If I really wanted to hide something, I would make it too obvious to suspect!

denathrius is against the titans right? the aspects are theorised to be mind controlled by the titans. of them the only one that died and came back is ysera.. who was quoted to be different this time. what is her death removed her mind control. joined forces with denatrius (maybe afther shadowlands) and now that she is back. could be an agent for the primalists

i have said for years that the old gods arnt on any other planets and that then destroying the natherzim planet is BS and they arnt what the titans want us to beleive at all.
Can we really stop with this generic as hell characters... This game is no longer about good plot or characters.. It is just a shitshow to feed someone's ego at Blizzard. Where the hell is Thrall? Where is Anduin? Where is Illidan?? What does everything has to centre around Shadowlands now?? That garbage should stay buried like Battle For Azeroth... But nah we rather slurp on Blizzard's sausage instead of asking them for a good plot and not ass generic main villain....
Im not looking forward to anything related to shadowlands honestly, this dreadlord plot is making the story of the game less intresting.

@@TheVincident. To be fair... The Dragonflight storyline isn't that fleshed out, yet. At the moment it feels like the "Black Empire Expansion-Prequel".
Edit: I could see the Titans turning against us and Ysera becoming somewhat akin to the Aspect of Death, but those are mere speculations.
