I remember from Mitten Squad's door randomizer run that the door out of Doc Mitchell's house isn't supposed to be randomized, which makes sense because that door is the only way out of the starting area, and if it lead to some high level deathtrap area, like Ulysses' temple, Dead Wind Cavern, or the Legendary Bloatfly's boss arena, the game would be instantly unwinnable.
Actually, thinking about it a little more, it wouldn't even have to be a deathtrap area, having the starting door open into a broom closet would be just as bad. Either way, access to the open world is a necessity. I wonder if there's a similar exception for the end game. It's fought at either the Legate's camp or Oliver's compound, and having the doors to them connected to each other and cut off from the rest of the world would be a brutal way to end the game.
@@desertdude540 The Legate's camp can actually be accessed from the open world. You just have to jump over cliffs that you're not supposed to be on (I did it in my save file to have the area explored before the dam fight). Doing that would make beating the game tedious though.

I've had this idea for a challenge in my head for awhile now that I like to call the "Scav-lock." Basically before you enter a new area that's not Diamond City, you drop everything in your inventory, (including ammo, but not caps) and you can only use what you find in that area to clear it (You decide whether everything outside is one area or not). Every 5 levels, you can choose one item that doesn't have to be dropped. If you die, everything you've dropped is lost, and cannot be used.
Please don't let my partner see this, he does New Vegas challenge runs of ridiculous calibers and he would do this without hesitation or question, and that scares me
9 Minutes in and he's already quest-blocked into a... "situation", he probably didn't want to be in. A true "It was at this moment, Jabo knew... He fucked up." moment

@@JonSands99 yes, those are pipe weapons, not the new makeshift weapons with the next gen update. Things like the nail gun, or pipe grenade launcher, or even the saw blade launcher
@@sopadumacacoumadelicia5 in the next gen update for fallout 4 they gave out like 5 free creation club items, and one of them gives you a quest called when pigs fly. Do that and you can unlock the makeshift weapons

I had an idea. The basic idea is the same as your "if you die you install a mod" but with extra chaos. Whenever you die, you have to spin a wheel, it either adds 1 mod, adds 2 mods, removes a mod, or replaces an already installed mod (Which you then spin another wheel to decide which mod is removed/replaced) You can also pay gold/caps/whatever in-game currency (by dropping it on the ground or in a box, it cannot be spent on items or services) to remove a mod, but you have to spin the wheel to decide which (with a chance to replace the mod with another instead of removing it), and the price increases each time.
i'd love to see a FO1 and 2 remake before vegas, there already is a F4NV mod, and FO1 mod for NV- BUT MAN to experience the first games completely upgraded would be nuts
@@dnsoulxThey don’t really need it though, maybe some QOL fixes could be nice, but it’s not like a graphic update is going to make the game that different. Unless you mean a 3d remaster in which case I just think that’s a bad idea, the games are turn based RPGs, forcing them into real time 3d would just cause issues.

To be fair. Random doors leading to where they are actually supposed to go in a randomizer is itself pretty random.
Yep, humans suck at understanding random, and the easiest way to figure out if something isn't truly random is if nothing unexpected happens.

You should do a randomizer for Fallout 4, or do a playthrough where you only use the new makeshift weapons in a speedrun of Fallout 4.
