    Video Request:
    I'd love to see you take a basic staple outfit & show how it can be adapted for each body type. More casual outfits, for example, a simple t-shirt & jeans. Using Romantic as an example, what shape of jeans should a romantic wear? Should they tie the t-shirt at the waste? What neckline should the t-shirt have? What kind of accessories/jacket/shoes would enhance this outfit for a romantic? This could be applied to each body type. Another example could be "what would a romantic body type wear to the gym?" or "winter outfits/jackets for walking the dog" I hope this makes sense.
    It's just I find your videos helpful because you have taught me that a romantic suits waist synching dresses for example. But on a day-to-day basis where I just want to throw on something casual (such as a band t-shirt and jeans) I am unsure of how to make these outfits work for my body type. Xx

    Thank you, a video for each specific wardrobe piece would be really helpful!
    One major doubt that I have (I'd like to know in the comments if anyone has the same issue) is regarding the waist emphasis: as the guide suggests, I know that the use of belts on the waist would be ideal, but I wonder if it's just my impression or if the belts, even the smaller ones make me appear wider on the waist area rather than putting emphasis on the natural proportions, and create a sort of bulky effect, rather than a snatched one. On the other hand, I find wrapped crop tops to be ideal on me to achieve the perfect waist emphasis. Why is it so? That's a pity because I actually love belts and find them to be a perfect accessory to achieve the ornate, yet moderate look, and I feel like Marylin and Liz Taylor were really able to enhance their hourglass figure by using them!

    • @hannahking3959
      @hannahking3959 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree & struggle to find belts made small enough for my waist. I tried switching to leather adjustable-to-any-length-belt &, yes, it seemed to add bulk. Next, I’m thinking I may try to find a good quality child-size belt & see how that works.

    Hi Aly. Do you think right now media and young people culture (tiktok) are moving towards a very slim-athletic body type? All I see on social media are girls that are skinny with very delicate curves (narrow waist) but nothing like the big boobs and exaggerated bums that we used to see before 2020, I also think the kardashian era has run out and that body type is not wanted as much anymore, even Kim and Khloe have lost a lot of weight and it is rumoured that they have taken out their but implants . I think the trend now is focused on living a healthy lifestyle (with diet and exercise), i’m not saying this is a good or bad thing , its just something I have noticed a lot. But most are trying to be skinny like the early 2000s even with fashion. Also I see alot of girls wanting to have a teen look, or very young look (ariana grande). They wanna look very youthful naturally. So there is a lot of focus on looking naturally good and glowing (i.e. the clean girl look) and a gull face of caked on make up is not popular anymore. A lot of trends that used to make girls look older/sexier with BBLs, full makeup etc. is not as popular anymore and more girls are going for that innocent look. Idk but would love for you to touch on this topic because i’m seeing a big shift in soceity and trends. Thanks xx

    I find the eye part to be tricky because everything else I am considered romantic, but as a east Asian my race’s natural eyes can’t be considered feminine/lush.
    Similar thing with hair, hair is very unique to ethnicity. Asians just have flat straight hair naturally. It’s as if saying pale skin is yin and tan is yang-at least from my perspective.

    I took the Kibee test before I had to read an article on understanding the different Kibee body types. After I took the test, most of my answers are E. I took the test from the concept wardrobe website. My result is the romantic. I'm used to wearing casual clothes which is fine by me, however my mom tends to prepare and choose my clothes for me. As an adult woman in my early 20s I want to dress more soft and feminine wearing skirts and dresses and nicer tops that has fabrics which are sustainable, and vegan. I'm a vegan I won't wear anything that is made from fossil fuels or animals.

    Hi Aly. Great video. For the last 2 years I have been swinging back and forth between 4 types. Romantic but I am only 5'2" and not blessed with those "b" words : bust & butt. I don't feel that men are drooling over me. I have an hourglass shape but I actually call myself an 'x'. So perhaps a Theoretical Romantic. Confused about Soft Gamine. Some pictures I look like I have angular bones and when I gain weight my face gets fat and looks rounded. Ingenue: I have the height and bone structure but not a cute baby face. I watched all your previous videos describing all the differences but I still feel confused.

    • @MZ-gt3sw
      @MZ-gt3sw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are romantic. Not baby face.
      Just take a look at your figure in the mirror from far away.
      If you don't see vertical lines in your body, no prominent shoulder bone structure.
      You got romantic body.
      And for men attention- try to wear romantic kibbe specific outfit one night with your friends partying outside and see if you get any compliments.
      If this states true- you are a romantic.

    • @MZ-gt3sw
      @MZ-gt3sw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I knew I was a romantic because many people stated that you look shorter and smaller in photos. But in reality-based you are normal size individual with prominent figure.
      And I get compliments on my figure all the time- even if I loose or gain weight- I have that hourglass figure and all the traits states true in my case of being romantic kibbe type.
      For casual style- I prefer boyish clothes 👚 and 👖 heart.
      I hope it helps.
      Godspeed!

      You sound like you're a gamine type. Although I wouldn't mark off the theatrical romantic either.
      However dress is too body type and personality you have now.
      About weight gain, when you do it's a myth that only gains it in certain places. Fat that redistributes all over the body. While some may appear to gain more in certain areas. So yes you'll have a more round face. And also don't trust the plus size model industry they hire normal weight/slender women in the ads and put them in fat suits bc they want a prominent model face.
      Like I said you sound more gamine, body type. You also sound more rectangular/S curve body type. This is where bust and hips equal but wouldn't appear very curvy, Korean pop culture came up with the S curve it just seems slightly curvy, but more than straight narrow.
      Also you may want to look up kitchener essences. You may find it helpful. You may find you have some angelic essence. Kitchener focuses on the face more. And can have more essences.
      And like I said personality does matter too. Personality puts life into our form it's forgotten about with these body type videos we aren't still photographs. We move in our bodies, in certain ways, we have facial mannerisms. That affects our true aura/ essence. For instance we all have different gaits. Gaits affect how we walk in our clothes.
      Our bodies aren't can canvases, they're a work of art.

      I think you're most likely flamboyant natural.
      The way you describe yourself (angular wide, tall, etc...) effectively rules out yin-dominant types like romantic and gamine, as well as the only moderate type, classic, and leaves you with yang-dominant types like dramatic and natural.
      Your dash of yin features (eyes, lips, cheeks) can still exist in a flamboyant natural; many lovely supermodels fall into this category. I believe the best example of a youthful-looking flamboyant natural is Gigi Hadid, who is tall, slightly wide, and has a soft, "cute" face and conventional curve in her body.
      Other Kibbe-verified celebrities include Claudia Schiffer and Brooke Shields, who both have "doll-like" faces.

    I’m 90% sure I’m a romantic now, but I don’t have narrowed sloping shoulders.
    My shoulders are very Ava Gardner(soft dramatic); straight with defined collarbones.
    But, Beyoncé also has shoulders like Ava and she is said to be a romantic anyway. To me Beyoncé does not look stubby, she doesn’t have short hands and she is 5“7. But, if she is a romantic, then so am I.
    My features are all very yin. So if my body is more Sophia Loren or Ava Gardner, my face is romantic or a very soft gamine (and my body isn’t gamine).
    Am I theatrical romantic? Like Salma Hayek? IDK.

      Shoulders are am important factor. TR has more defined shoulders, while R has basically non existant shoulders lmao. For example, I love wearing off shoulder tops and you cam notice my shoulders are suuuuper soft and rounded, since I am a R. I hope that helps.

    Can anyone help to decide my Kibbe type? I am 5'2 apple shape even when a normal weight. Any weight gain goes directly to my waist and face. I have a relatively larger bust, softer body. Thank you!

    I did the test but i am have small chest not flat and no hips and no define waist. Would that matter for a romantic type??? I am not dramatic because i have moderate fresh and soft face features and 5'3

    I love your body type videos.
    Lately however you’re only doing content on romantic body type. I know it’s the first one, but it would interesting and curious to switch up the order, randomize. Etc etc, that way you don’t spend months in the same body type.

    I never understood why David Kibbe classified Kate Winslet as a Romantic. In her natural bikini/bathing suit photos she looks more like a Soft Natural to me - she doesn't really have a super prominent hour glass figure, her shoulders seem rather broad, her bone structure rather wide and not really delicate.

    • @katpiphelen3575
      @katpiphelen3575 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I think he most likely typed her when she was younger (at the time of his writing etc) and she definitely looks more R when she is young. You naturally loose collagen (aka plumpness/softness) as you get older, which may seem why Kate looks more Yang/blunt. But she still thrives in Romantic lines, so even with age, your type won't change!

    • @evaeilea
      @evaeilea 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      An hourglass in Kibbe has got nothing to do with the mainstream hourglass (like Kim K) it got to do with having a double curve, which happen when there’s a lack of yang.

      Probably not. Youre pretty tall, you must have pretty long legs which is beautiful, youre probably more towards Dramatic. Romantics and gamines are petite

    • @daniellevinson6975
      @daniellevinson6975 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If statures of 5'6" to 5'7" are possible for Romantics, that means a small percentage of them *don't* have delicate bone structure.

    • @daniellevinson6975
      @daniellevinson6975 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, taller Romantics still have *proportionally* delicate bone structure, but such bone structure is small without being dainty.

    I don’t mean to be rude but you have been focusing on romantics a lot, a lot of Marilyn Monroe and Romantic videos. Will other body types also get such videos ? I feel like some types aren’t given attention as much. I don’t mean to be rude, I just wish sub-types like Soft Dramatics got some help or style inspo as well.

      She probably just started with Romantic :) But she said at the end of the video she is going to do similar video about other body types - where she reads the description of the body type from Kibbe's book :)

    • @mariannerichard1321
      @mariannerichard1321 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      I would say she did Romantic first because she was doing the Marilyn videos. The informations were still fresh in her mind and in the viewers' mind as well. I wouldn't be against the same pairing for other body types, with the in dept review of a famous celebrities, then a in dept analysis of her body type. It makes sense to start the series with the extremes, True Romantic and True Dramatic, then get into the type in the middle of them.

      1. Much of the advice for R also applies to SD, like waist emphasis, wrist emphasis, ornate styles, and gathers
      2. She has a series on her channel that includes all 13 types: “Skirts for the body types,” “Sweaters for the body types,” “shoes for the body types,” “ jewelry for the body types, etc”
