The last time I visited the Oregon Zoo was in 2003 so it's very interesting to see how it has changed over the years. The giraffe, rhino, penguin, and fruit bat exhibits are the same, but the whole beginning section with the bears, cougars, and eagles has been added since I moved out of Oregon. However, I prefer the way the zoo was designed before where you would choose which areas to explore instead of being forced into a one-way path. That seems like it would create a bottleneck towards the start of the visit.
Guests aren't forced to go one way or the other, but the majority of the crowd moves down the smaller path with the bears and eagles due to it being the forward one. I always start my visit going the "wrong way" down the bridge towards the seals and otters, it lets you get a good view all the way down the main walk to where the elephants are and really see where the crowds are to plan the rest of your visit.
Thanks for Showcasing My Hometown Zoo.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I visited that zoo several years ago and forgot how much I liked it! Agree, I loved the opening section - great job filming so many animals! ❤❤

Nice.
Missed opportunity if the Elephant Ear stand isn’t by the elephant enclosure.
They are right by the elephants, its my go to stop whenever I go to the Oregon Zoo! They're massive, big enough to share with three people xd
