    It has come to my attention that I’ve somehow left off Peter Pan and the Mark Twain Riverboat. Those are both attractions safe for all ages as well.

      @@supernerdsarah I consider Mark Twain and Sailing Ship to be the same ride. The audio is different, I know, but it’s essentially the same rise.

    As a kid I loved the Tea Cups. As an adult, you’d have to pay me a lot of money to go on that. One great thing about the ride is the little viewing area for weak stomachs like me that allows you to watch the others brave enough to ride it.

    Love this video! Very informative! We’re taking our daughter for her first birthday but was wondering if you knew, how do you know which rides exactly allow them to be in carriers and which ones don’t ?

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately, there isn’t any sort of a sign. It’s ride by ride.
      Mostly I’ve found that the boat rides are fine and anything with a seatbelt for a restraint, like Dumbo.
      But rides with a lap bar, like Snow White won’t allow a carrier. You can still lap sit on those types of attractions though I believe. The only ride that doesn’t allow lap sitting is Golden Zephyr.

    Haunted Mansion terrified me. To this day, I'm still a little weary about it. The door that breathes, or I guess you can say it, moves. I still cover my eyes.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I noticed that door for the first time like 2-3 weeks ago. It’s amazing the details you still find after riding dozens of times.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would allow an hour to hour and a half for each one. It could be longer or shorter depending on if you order desserts/appetizers.

  • @jenn8773

    Love this video! Do you have a list of rides for pregnant women/ toddlers for universal studios?

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, but the list is pretty short.
      Super Silly Fun Land, Kung Fu Panda Adventure, Secret Life of Pets, Studio Tour, and that’s about it. Despicable Me might be okay but even it has a height requirement that would eliminate most toddlers (40 inches).
      I think even secret life of pets has a height requirement despite being similar to Ariel’s and Haunted Mansion.

    I went to Disneyland for Memorial Day weekend. I guess you can say I played another prank.
    So I got two of those "Celebrating..." buttons. I wrote on one "myself" and the other "Britney's freedom". Three employees wished me a happy birthday ;)
    Although my birthday is not too far away! It's on the 28th of this month (And I'll be having a milestone one: 40th, hence the 83 in my user name)

    Hi SoCal Disney dad! We are planning a trip in the fall to Southern California and will be stopping at Universal, Disney, and legoland. I have been working my way through every single one of your videos on all of these and appreciate them so much! I am planning all parts of our trip using them. I have a special video request - I'm wondering if you might make a video that is a slightly different take than this one. I am wondering if you might consider a video on a rope drop or even full day strategy at disneyland for families with sensitive kids and/or people who plan to do no scary or thrill rides. I do not think Genie plus would be worth it as there are only 3 rides on there we would even utilize it for. (We will note be riding Big thunder, gadgetcoaster, canoes, haunted mansion, Indiana Jones, matterhorn, Smugglers run, Pinocchio, roger rabbit, space mountain, star tours, rise of the resistance, or Mr Toad). I have watched your video on rope-dropping fantasyland and it seems like that is maybe the best way to start? Thanks for all of your great videos!!

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I love the video suggestion, the trouble is I don’t have a sensitive child or know anyone with a child that suffers from overstimulation.
      Which means the best I can do is guess as to what won’t trigger them, but not enough to put a full video together essentially promising people these are safe.
      The best I could do is recommend all slow moving attractions with the exception of Mr. Toad, Roger Rabbit, and potentially Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio.
      I actually think Haunted Mansion would probably be fine. But again that’s where I just don’t know enough. If I recommend it and then it’s too intense, I’d feel bad.
      Fantasyland probably is a great place to start. That and Adventureland, Frontierland, and Critter Country is where I suspect you’ll spend most of your time.
      There are plenty of things to do at Disneyland, even if you never ride a single ride. So I’m confident you’ll have a good time regardless.

      Depends on the ride. For the slow moving boat rides, like it’s a small world, yes, for dark rides like Mr. Toad’s or spinning rides like Dumbo, no.
