I lost my 30 year old best mate in February of this year. He also took his own life and struggled with depression and addiction so this one feels very raw. Thanks Wesley and Akshay for your kind words about Grayson. May he Rest In Peace ❤️🫶
What I have learned through this, is that a lot of us seemingly know a young man who struggled and left this world alone in a room somewhere. It's heart breaking, and feels like an epidemic.
I lost my lil bro to suicide several years ago. It never heals but u learn to carry on and I personally try and emulate the good qualities my brother possessed and carry on chin up til it’s over. I love you forever Derek.

Truly, so sorry for your loss. That's insanely rough. No matter how well we know someone, you can never truly know what they're feeling and their thoughts. It's unbelievably heartbreaking that anyone would feel so alone or depressed that they would think ending it would be any type of option.
Two high quality lads right here, Wedgely and Akshay, and absolutely R.I.P. to Grayson, and may his family find the peace that surpasses all understanding!
Love the elite competition 1 v 1’s. I know Wes is kidding about how boring it would be to see Shay just pure it every time, but if he could bring in more current pga tour players to battle, high quality golf never gets old. High quality golf + high quality players = high quality competition + high quality content. Also adds a fun newer dynamic playing on courses that have already been prepped and prepared for a tour event. Under rated detail to this vid that is appreciated.
Gentleman, you have a lot of grace and compassion during a devastating situation. In 2021 my best friend passed away from suicide as well. It never gets easier. It changes you forever. I love you guys, and so many others do too. Take care of yourselves, and be there for the ones who were closest to him as much as you can too. We are rooting for you, the golf community, and of course his family in this tough situation.
Akshay and Wesley you are a couple of the most genuine guys and I can only imagine how the two of you must feel after hearing the news. I just learned about Wesley’s time playing with him in the Zurich and I couldn’t I imagine playing alongside you two…my heart is broken for his family..Wesley I am at a loss of words..just keep doing what you do..I pull for you and George every time you guys tee it up!
Akshay, I'm a big fan of yours and wish you the best on tour. I think you are a genuine character and a lot of fun to watch on tour. Keep doing what you are with your content. The more insider type stuff the better (as much as the Tour will allow, if you're game). Nobody has that type of content (inside the ropes). Not sure how much that takes from your prep/required headspace for events.
Nice touch with the intro, great play by Akshay who has become my fav pro after watching him on different channels. Congratulations to George and family on their new addition
I love the vlog style for shay! Would love to see more in depth tournament prep. Routines what he practices and how he thinks his way around the course. Love the content!
Such a great, yet very sad, heartwarming intro, guys. I only knew of Grayson through watching him on tour, but he truly seemed like a fun, loving, and caring person to his family, friends, and fans. It breaks my heart that anyone would ever feel like suicide is an option. People need to realize that they're not ending their pain. It's not that simple. They're passing it along to their loved ones. Please talk to someone if you feel like that's even remotely an option or thought. It's never too late to get help, and there are so many people out there that would actually help and do care! Don't ever give up on yourself!
This should be interesting can’t wait to watch in a bit. Akshay is playing amazing. Then Wes just has it one on one. No fear in his game or any shot he hits. This will be instant classic.
Very sorry for you guys loss having personal relationships with Grayson. It’s a tough loss for not only the golf world who followed his story, but also all of the world who will never get that opportunity again. As someone who has struggled with depression and addiction myself I was so happy for him when he won again in Hawaii and was taking on the challenge of a quote on quote come back story. Mentally and physically. My heart hurts for you guys and especially his family. This is why I absolutely love your channel, so much game to be seen here but the level of class you show here is incredible. Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll be right here continuing to watch! Not sure if you read this Wesley, but when you line up the driver far off the heal, you either hit a pull or over cut it. You seem to generally line it up off the heal all the time, but the shots where you drift towards lining it farther off the heal, its always a pull or an overcut. I think it's mental. Your talent with the long game is solid, your potential is great. It's just in your head. Line up square for a good shot, you can and will hit good shots! Plan to do what you want! You have accomplished enough for a lifetime, and you do not need anything more, so you have nothing to lose. No point to negative thoughts. You are better than most and as good as more. If you shoot for what you want, you will mostly get it.

Kudos for the touch of class in the beginning honoring your friend, Grayson, so sorry for the family and his friends, it’s absolutely heartbreaking, I’ve lost relatives and friends to suicide/mental illness and it’s something you can never figure out all on your own , even with help it’s a continuous battle….. RIP GM
Guys, the death of Grayson highlights the tragic situation that exists with Mental Health. I would love to see the PGA take a lead in highlighting the need to support those that are struggling with mental health. You 2 would be amazing ambassadors
Akshay, it would be great to see a tour pro go to regular golf courses that are local favourites to see how well you can score there. It would also give viewers an idea of how a PGA Tour player plays certain holes and hearing their thought process for shot selection. Would really help the game grow. Shout out from Canada!
Creating a golf combine similar to the NFL combine for pro golfers involves designing a range of skill challenges that assess different aspects of a player’s game. Here’s a breakdown of potential events, focusing on a comprehensive evaluation of a golfer's capabilities: Driving Distance Accuracy: Players hit a series of drives aimed at maximizing both distance and accuracy. Measurements include average drive distance and dispersion from the centerline. Fairway Precision: From varying distances (e.g., 200, 250, 300 yards), players aim to land their drives within designated fairway zones. Scoring is based on the percentage of hits landing in these zones. Iron Control: Targeted shots from multiple distances (e.g., 100, 150, 200 yards) to a green with pinned flags at different locations. Scoring based on proximity to the hole from each distance. Wedge Play: Short game shots from various distances and lies around the green (e.g., 30, 60, 90 yards), including bunker shots. Scoring involves accuracy and the number of strokes to hole out. Putting Challenge: Various putting drills including: Straight putts at different lengths (10, 20, 30 feet). Breaking putts from different angles and distances. Speed control tests on uphill and downhill putts. Points awarded based on the number of putts holed and overall proximity to the hole after the first putt. Recovery Shot Skill Test: Shooting from challenging lies such as deep rough, fairway bunkers, and under tree canopies. Scoring based on the ability to reach the green and the final ball position relative to the hole. Trouble Shot Creativity: Players face uncommon or tricky scenarios, requiring creative shot-making (e.g., hitting over obstacles, curved shots around trees). Evaluated on outcome effectiveness and innovation. Consistency and Endurance Round: A long session where players must replicate certain shots repeatedly over an extended period or number of swings. Measures consistency, endurance, and performance under fatigue. Club Head Speed and Ball Speed Measurement: Utilize radar technology to measure the speed of the club head and ball at impact. Focuses on power and efficiency of the swing. Launch Angle and Spin Rate Analysis: Analyze the launch conditions for various clubs to determine optimal trajectory and control. Utilize launch monitors to provide immediate feedback on player’s ability to manage ball flight characteristics. Mental Game Assessment: Simulated pressure situations to evaluate a player’s mental toughness and decision-making under stress. Could involve playing critical holes or shots in front of an audience or against a shot clock. Physical Fitness Test: Golf-specific fitness assessments that might include flexibility, core strength, balance, and endurance tests. Measures the athlete's physical capabilities and how they might affect swing mechanics and overall stamina. Rules Knowledge Examination: A written or interactive test on the rules of golf to assess a player’s knowledge and ability to navigate complex scenarios during play. This array of challenges would provide a comprehensive view of a golfer’s skills, from technical precision to mental resilience and physical fitness, allowing direct comparison among players on a wide range of skills crucial to competitive golf.
Our hearts are with you two. You both have hearts of gold as well, keep being you and please reach out to your community if you ever need us. Play well and play well GM the rest of 2024. Cheers.

Glad I got a chance to see Shay’s personality… very likable dude with incredible game! Enjoyed the beat down 😅
Creating a golf combine similar to the NFL combine for pro golfers involves designing a range of skill challenges that assess different aspects of a player’s game. Here’s a breakdown of potential events, focusing on a comprehensive evaluation of a golfer's capabilities:
Driving Distance Accuracy:
Players hit a series of drives aimed at maximizing both distance and accuracy.
Measurements include average drive distance and dispersion from the centerline.
Fairway Precision:
From varying distances (e.g., 200, 250, 300 yards), players aim to land their drives within designated fairway zones.
Scoring is based on the percentage of hits landing in these zones.
Iron Control:
Targeted shots from multiple distances (e.g., 100, 150, 200 yards) to a green with pinned flags at different locations.
Scoring based on proximity to the hole from each distance.
Wedge Play:
Short game shots from various distances and lies around the green (e.g., 30, 60, 90 yards), including bunker shots.
Scoring involves accuracy and the number of strokes to hole out.
Putting Challenge:
Various putting drills including:
Straight putts at different lengths (10, 20, 30 feet).
Breaking putts from different angles and distances.
Speed control tests on uphill and downhill putts.
Points awarded based on the number of putts holed and overall proximity to the hole after the first putt.
Recovery Shot Skill Test:
Shooting from challenging lies such as deep rough, fairway bunkers, and under tree canopies.
Scoring based on the ability to reach the green and the final ball position relative to the hole.
Trouble Shot Creativity:
Players face uncommon or tricky scenarios, requiring creative shot-making (e.g., hitting over obstacles, curved shots around trees).
Evaluated on outcome effectiveness and innovation.
Consistency and Endurance Round:
A long session where players must replicate certain shots repeatedly over an extended period or number of swings.
Measures consistency, endurance, and performance under fatigue.
Club Head Speed and Ball Speed Measurement:
Utilize radar technology to measure the speed of the club head and ball at impact.
Focuses on power and efficiency of the swing.
Launch Angle and Spin Rate Analysis:
Analyze the launch conditions for various clubs to determine optimal trajectory and control.
Utilize launch monitors to provide immediate feedback on player’s ability to manage ball flight characteristics.
Mental Game Assessment:
Simulated pressure situations to evaluate a player’s mental toughness and decision-making under stress.
Could involve playing critical holes or shots in front of an audience or against a shot clock.
Physical Fitness Test:
Golf-specific fitness assessments that might include flexibility, core strength, balance, and endurance tests.
Measures the athlete's physical capabilities and how they might affect swing mechanics and overall stamina.
Rules Knowledge Examination:
A written or interactive test on the rules of golf to assess a player’s knowledge and ability to navigate complex scenarios during play.
This array of challenges would provide a comprehensive view of a golfer’s skills, from technical precision to mental resilience and physical fitness, allowing direct comparison among players on a wide range of skills crucial to competitive golf.
RIP Grayson Murray … respectful tribute at the start and very enjoyable game again - what a golfer Akshay is
