- After consuming copious calories in the streets and markets of downtown Osaka, we're bullet training through the birthplace of ninja to meet back up with our favorite fellow filming fam: MomDuty! And while we're sharing a mountainside Nagano chalet for the weekend, we figured we might as well put all four kids through a little ninja training themselves.

ABOUT US
We’re the Lockwoods. And we’re traveling the world to experience-up close and in person-all the natural wonders and distinct cultures that our kids would otherwise be consuming only through textbooks and TV. We think it’s a better way to learn and we’re working hard to fund this little experiment in the hope that our kids will grow up wiser, kinder, and more grateful for the beauty of our diverse planet and its people.
They say, when it comes to traveling, we do it three times: first when we dream about it, then when we actually go, and finally when we look back and remember the adventure. But doing it w/ your Ninja besties is just priceless ❤️We can’t wait to do all over again! See you soon😍
That is so wise 🤯 And so true! I love reliving these memories with you guys. 🥰
It’s always so much fun when you when the two families get together!
Wow Erin…competitive Ice Skater and friends with Tara…wonderful! ❤
We all just have so much fun together!
Cannot wait for more episodes! It's my goal to visit all prefectures of Japan - so much uniqueness in every place.
So true! I wish we had more time for us to explore more ourselves. ❤️🇯🇵
I was just a fan, enjoying your journey through Tokyo, Kyoto, the local ninja park and yummy noodles but you made me cry me when you told us about the Nagano Olympics.😊 Great story. Life is beautiful

Myoko was awesome! The perfect spot for all of us! It was like we had the whole city to ourselves. Oh wait, we did 🤣
😂🤣😅😆 hahaha! We literally did 🤗
As someone with an odd childhood, this is genuinely healing that child in me that has needed it in so long. Im not the sappy type, but the amount of smiling and care i feel watching this almost solicits a guilty feeling. Thank you so much for healing some of our inner children, because i know i am not the only one that feels this way. Your channel as well as MomDuty has done a wonderful job of bringing out something so ethereal and necessary. I have so much love for all of you and wish you nothing short of success and happiness.
This truly warms my heart. Thank you for writing to us. We are so happy that our episode has made you smile and had a positive effect on you.

# 2 the Ninja Village was super impressive - the kids had to consider it the highlight of - maybe most of the trip. So much
fun ( if you were young enough ) Our son Ryan, in 1992 - age 7, started Tae Kwon Do for his birthday gift. I decided to join
him two months later - age 49 - First two years we went 3 days a week, last two years just 2 days a week. We both received
our Black Belts. Mine was more like - yep, i finished the forms, but I was no Bruce Lee - ( who, by the way is buried in Seattle
with his son ) Ryan on the other hand was pretty darn good. A good bonding for dad to do this with our only child.
A black belt is still very impressive! And sounds like such a great bonding experience for the two of you 😊
Awesome
Thank you!! 🙏😊
automatic like cause my sista's family @Momduty in the video. I wish i could give more for all the reasons i'm about to watch!
We have so much fun with the Ocampos. They are our favorite people to travel with, eat with, talk with… everything 😊
Hi Guys - have watched all your videos and you guys are so infectious in a great way, i love the way you guys laugh and smile and take everyday as it comes - i use to be like that when i was your age and i use to travel before it become a thing on TH-cam, but life got in the way and marriage and family and divorce took over and along the way i lost my smile and my laugh and i lost me and just became a dad and everything i did or do is about my kids, but they are almost adults now and i will try to find myself again and will travel back to the amazing places i visited almost 30 years ago like India and Thailand and China, i too hope to travel and record my time on TH-cam and have started my small channel and will start building that up before i travel in a few years, its difficult creating videos without real experienced footage - Can you guys share with us all how you both met and what your plans are for the future, i thing i speak for many of your followers when i say that we are invested in you both and we want to know more about you guys - Keep up the amazing videos and stay true to yourself - PsTravel365
Thank you so much for this wonderful message! We truly appreciate you. We hope you get to travel again and reconnect with yourself as soon as possible. Phil and I pretty much met through mutual friends, but fell in love so instantly, we knew we wanted a life of adventure together. And everything has been a whirlwind constant change since 😊. We plan to keep traveling as long as we are able to and it’s a healthy choice for our kids. But we have seen so much growth in them in every way, since we started experiencing more of the world. And there is still so much more of the world for us to see!

We really wanted to do a ryokan while in Japan but weren’t able to squeeze it in. We’ll have to come back and experience more. Our friends @momduty had an amazing stay at a ryokan. We hope you check out there episode when the launch it! 🤗
Hope you all could come back soon for "Ryokan".
長野まで来たんですねー
それから、お蕎麦の蕎麦湯は基本的には食べ終わった後の汁に入れて飲むのですよー😅
Nagano was a very special visit for us. 🥰
So good to see your videos. Lovely family bonding. Your kids are so lovely. I think you missed a lot during your visit to India. If you ever plan again for India please get in touch with me and I will plan a pilgrimage circuit tour for your family. It's so beautiful and divine for you and your family to experience.
We very much appreciate that. We look forward to returning to India. We’d love to have more experiences like you described.
It is a perfect introduce of Soba that pouring and drinking Soba-yu after eating Soba. Soba-yu is recommended from a nutritional standpoint because it contains carbohydrates, minerals, B vitamins, and dietary fiber that were dissolved when the Soba was boiled.
And, Obi Wan Kenobi's name comes from "Shinobi"... That's an interesting new theory, but it is actually said to be a corruption of "Obi wa Kuro-obi”(="his belt is a black-belt"). "Jedi" comes from "Jidai-geki" referring to Japanese period dramas, especially Samurai films. Anyway, Lucas is the pioneer of Weeaboo...maybe
So happy we got it right with the soba noodles 🍜 🤗. And thanks for more insight into Star Wars and Japanese culture. We love making those connections!
