I remember my friend Jeremy Walker walked into the class in the morning and broke this news. We were in grade 8. Where ever is Jeremy now??? He said 'Ape ekek plane ekak ussala'. Whether Sepala did it right or not is a different matter but his love to his son has to be admired. That is a true Sri Lankan dad.So nice to see the grown up boy has gone to find his dad too. A lovely story. Regardless of the course, I enjoyed this song then and I still do. Thanks for the upload.

So sad that nowday Sri Lanka radio stations never plays songs like this. So the young generation will never get to know that a Sri Lankan hijacked a plane without any tool with using written mails. And that also for good cause and he made sure that the life of passengers are a safe. It shows how amazing a father s love is :)

+Anusha Sirimewan I too thought that Sepala Ekanayake was someone to be admired. Sadly however upon researching have discovered that while serving his prison term in Welikada, he is supposed to have murdered fellow inmates who were tamils during the second riots in 1983.
Guss not many in Sri Lanka know about that part. Can anyone verify this?
