Another interesting point, and I’m not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet (there are around 80 comments, after all), but Henry is almost completely oblivious to everything that you’re doing, and even more so about Renee’s true intentions. He knows you won’t leave until you solve the skeleton man mystery, but you barely tell him anything about it or the crystal skull thing which happens later. I like to imagine the ending of this game, the ending that we didn’t see on screen: Henry, sitting at his desk and doing paperwork on his computer when all of a sudden Nancy bursts into the house, dragging Renee with her, who is sobbing dramatically and probably whining about losing the skull. Both women are drenched by the rain and probably muddy thanks to the swamp. Nancy promptly informs a stunned Henry that the police should be here any minute. What a night.
You left out one of my favourite plot holes in this game. XD When Nancy is trapped in the crypt, she's SEALED in underground. How are the lightning strikes illuminating the inside of the crypt for the puzzle!?!?
72: Nancy is creeped out that Henry has one of Dr. Bolets eyeballs. I think she's more creeped out by the fact that it's the one he was wearing when he died, rather that Henry just having one of his eyeballs.
Why did Bess have to hide behind the boxes? She's in disguise, the guy at the door saw her and let her in, she should just be able to blend in with the crowd
Love this one! To those saying Michael should differentiate between his serious and sarcastic comments and decrease them to not upset HER, why? These videos are meant to poke fun at the mistakes game developers make, which quite frankly really shouldn't happen with the amount of time they spend making these games. It's just little fun, that's all.
Since Her Interactive is presumably composed of grown adults, I can't imagine Michael's comments (which aren't even mean at all, especially not in comparison to most of what passes for "criticism" on the internet) affecting them negatively or hurting their feelings in any way whatsoever.
1. We never learn what was in the pouch around Renée's neck. 2. If you are in the garden and see the buzzard statue in the distance, the every feather is sticking out, when they are all down when you start the puzzle, and the second one never even moves. 3. Why is there a random mummy inside the curio shop? 4. The crystal skull on the package of the game is white, but in the game, it's yellow. 5. How did Iggy bring those items through the vent? He doesn't have hands to grab things. 6. We get teased Nancy's silhouette, but we still don't see her face. 7. The second chance messages are different that the previous and follows games. 8. Why does there have to be a different entrance and exit for the study? 9. How does the gumball machine work with no coins needed? 10. How does the gumball machine know Nancy used the token to get the eye? 11. These eyes are supposed to be glass. Are we supposed to believe that none of them broke over the years, even after some of them getting released pretty hard from their bidding spots? 12. How did the eyes not roll out of the puzzle in the study? 13. How does the thing in the tank in the curio shop move when Bess taps the glass? Is it alive? 14. Nancy explains how to use powder from on the keypad to Bess, but doesn't tell her if a darker fingerprint means first or last. 15. Bess can touch the key pad 1000 times before using the compact on it and it will still give the weight combination from before. 16. The only thing that Bess has to put the powder on the keypad with is her finger, literally ruining the whole point of doing it in the first place. 17. One of the pages in Dr. Bolet's book doesn't allow you to back out if you move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. It will only let you turn the page. 18. For a man who seems to love crazy pets, we barely see any animals in this game. 19. If the cab company was out of service, how was Dr. Buford supposed to be coming to the house? 20. Dr. Buford never makes it to the house.
Concerning Renée`s pouch. It is gris-gris, an amulet used by supporters of voodoo. You can make it yourself or buy it. The amulet is very popular in New Orleans because Louisiana and Haiti (the motherland of some voodoo religions) were French plantations. Gris-gris contains different objects that have meaning exactly for the person wearing it. For example, herbs, stones, nails or hair of the person. They are to protect or give confidence if you believe in it. So only Renée can know exactly:)
Here are two other ones for fun: Bess is a dragon because she somehow breathes fire after eating three portions of food with hot sauce. Dr. Budford conveniently eats gumbo at the exact area where the hotel is; good thing otherwise we wouldn't find out Iggy stole the letter that killed Dr. Bolet.
Two more: -Why would painting voodoo symbols on the wall stop the dummy from making noise? Did Bruno only use the dummy when Renee was out of the house after she did that to reinforce her beliefs? -HOW DOES IGGY KNOW WHAT PAPER GOES WITH EACH COSTUME?! Especially the forgery letter. If it's by scent, then there wasn't time to do any training with that fateful letter which caused Dr. Bolet's heart attack.
To answer your first question, Bruno bolet made the dummy talk for reasons I’m unsure of. I can only assume that the day she wrote those symbols on the wall is close to, or the day of, Bruno’s death. Which would reinforce her believe in hoodoo, because there wasn’t anyone to make the dummy talk. To answer your second question. Who knows? Bruno trained iffy to retrieve the items it had stolen, which I can assume took a long long time. It’s probably some sort of association. He sees the costume and connects it to a particular object or paper.
@@AngeldustPictures57 Bruno probably just used The Dummy to either entertain or terrify His Patients I would definitely be terrified if Someone had A Jack in The Box that has A Spider in it yes I know that The Spider is fake but I still can't stand Spiders
138. My guess as to how the locking mechanism knows which direction the eyes are facing is that there’s something behind each eye, like a lever or something similar, that moves in which ever direction you move the eye. Example. You move an eye to the left, the eye moves that little lever/thingy in the back, it unlocks that particular slot in the locking mechanism
Maybe I missed something. But how can the flashes of lightning light the puzzle if Nancy is stuck in a crypt underground? Was there a skylight or something??
114. No, no. It wasn't six years ago, it was a few weeks or months ago. Since Nancy never ages, and is eternally 18, then everything from Secrets Can Kill to Sea of Darkness must all happen in the same year.
Super late but Nancy and her friends are immortal eternally youthful vampires. That's why Nancy has no reflection, can eat 20 gumballs in one go, and never ages despite the months/years between cases.
OKAY VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION HERE: How old are Ned and Nancy in this game? Because Henry is in his 20s and Ned said he had classes with Henry but I thought Ned wasn’t in college until later games??
Henry was 8 in 1990(when his parents were killed by accident). The game provably takes place in 2007 so he is to be 25. Ned is Henry's college mate so he's may be the same age. And Nancy is FOREVER 18.
I don't agree that Nancy finding a mystery, doing chores, finding secret passages, or going overseas without taking money is a problem with the games. That IS the games.
it can't be a coincidence because the game is called "legend of the crystal skull" and the crystal skull looks exactly the same as the one from Indiana Jones

Nancy is a real whirlwind experience for at least 60% of the people she meets. XD

When Nancy is trapped in the crypt, she's SEALED in underground. How are the lightning strikes illuminating the inside of the crypt for the puzzle!?!?
"The young lady's clearly upset about something."
"Like being tied up by strange men in costumes?!"
That is the best part!
"The first thing Nancy does is abandon her friend"
"Here, Bess outright refuses to help Nancy"
Coincidence?
I think not
"Givens me a break, Nancy." 😂
Yeah, how DID she get that last photo? I love the mental picture of Nancy forcing the villain to reenact her betrayal!
Especially since it must have involved Nancy _going back down into the crypt she was just trapped in_
I think Nancy would totally do that
Aw, no comment on how Nancy Drew will, without hesitation, just noisily eat gumballs sitting in a forgotten secret attic for who knows how long?
72: Nancy is creeped out that Henry has one of Dr. Bolets eyeballs.
I think she's more creeped out by the fact that it's the one he was wearing when he died, rather that Henry just having one of his eyeballs.
