@@consistentbass there's a guy in Australia that makes ugly lures with bites missing from the body and/or the lip. He said that they swam so badly that folks wouldn't buy them... until they became novelty collector's lures and now folks pay extra for them.
After the amount of complex lures I have made I sometimes start to think I’m good at it…. And then I watch you make something as simple as Easter egg lures and am reminded that you really are in a league of your own. Beautiful work mate.
This is such a good idea for a bait and you _nailed it!_ So many possibilities for creative color ways. You should look into expanding on this concept, its just too awesome for one video!
I do not believe in being jinxed, but I laughed out loud when you caught that bass on the first cast. That curse has happened to me numerous times and sometimes with impressive fish. Catching a fish on a crank bait in Iowa in March is impressive. Doing it on an Easter egg you built in your personal bait-making hangar is beyond impressive. Very cool that it was caught on camera.
Hey Marling! Great vid! If I may, the next time you’re making two baits on a lathe, have the tails of your baits run into each other instead of keeping a wood nub between them. Think of it as making an hour glass. It keeps the baits as one piece of wood and they won’t break in the middle. After your done on the lathe just cut the lures in half at the narrowest point. Also love the way you painted using a drill! I’m gonna have to try that
Love the basket walking down to the fishing hole. Classic. Do you ever think Chip feels you are crazy talking to a little box on the wall? I think we had like a Spock moment at the end when you said for the second time "onto the next bait". I was too much like "live long and prosper". Caught me funny. Cheers. Oh, Happy Easter to you and your family. Enjoy.
Awe dude the Easter egg basket was such a nice touch! Fun build, you are way more creative than you give yourself credit for, those looked great. Happy Easter to your fam !
This was not a failure!!! The action was perfection thru the water, that you strive to attain with your plastics. Downsizing the egg size so it doesn't sound like a rock hitting the water could help, or make a smaller one for a mold and shoot whatever colors you want. Always love seeing your videos. Peace
Can we take a moment to appreciate how good he is at painting egg’s though? Imagine the Christmas cookie decorations he could also likely do! Haha awesome work!
You should make a bait out of all the old clear-coat epoxy you have once the container fills up. Also can "Grandma Crafts" be a new "One Day" type series?
it would be awesome to see you take some hard boiled eggs and paint them like lures...you could make the worlds coolest Easter eggs.... HE IS RISEN ! happy Easter everyone !!!!!
That's awesome! I made a mini one using my power drill as a lathe a couple years back. It was a pastel pink with pastel blue and yellow squiggly lines around it. These look awesome
Nate one good thing it was official you did catch a fish with the lure!! That's the best part. I love when it becomes official that fish of any kind like the baits that you make! Chin up buddy.
Hey thanks for this cool project! Good to see something fun and creative. Just something I should throw out there, would of been cool to see your kids in this project, kids love doing activities like this. Tight lines.
You just keep getting more and more out there, man. It's almost like you're challenging us to see if we'll still watch your wacky videos. Well, yeah, it's still lure crafting, still air brushing, some self deprecating humor, an eclectic choice of background music along with some good old family values, a little fishing trip and a dog. How could you not be entertained!
Happy Easter 🥚
You should do an “imperfection” bait, where you make all the baiting mistakes possible (touching paint before it dries, putting a lip in crooked)
No measurements! Cut first ask later!
@@CallMeDaddy247 that’s an imperfection??
Please, no crooked lips. Ugly details is one thing but ugly action? If the lip is not right the bait won't work.
@@consistentbass there's a guy in Australia that makes ugly lures with bites missing from the body and/or the lip. He said that they swam so badly that folks wouldn't buy them... until they became novelty collector's lures and now folks pay extra for them.
@@consistentbassI bet fish will still bite

Beautiful work mate.
Have you considered making a lure out of one of your kids' drawings? That'd be an interesting weird project.
Ooooh yeah thats a cool idea! I second this
I laughed so hard when you walked into frame with the basket. Nice touch.
Love that Gimme shelter in the background, one of my favorite songs, I saw them perform it live.
The Easter basket--nice touch!!!
I heard banded Clovis playing at the beginning. You’re literally perfect
You should take the Easter egg lures and hide them around lakes and people can find them.
Happy Easter! Great grandma skills🥚
I liked the dramatic music effect in this vid. Especially when you caught the dink. Nice work. Happy Easter!
top 5 outdoor channel on this whole site man, catching bass on easter eggs? incredible
Rewatching this vid as we approach Easter again. Reckon it should be an annual tradition at this point 😂
Awesome idea, can't wait to see! Also, you should make a peacock bass lure!
Happy Easter to the Marling family, and all the lovely people that tune in to watch the awesome content you create. Have an amazing day everyone
That pearl copper on the start of the paint job reminds me of a toasted marshmallow. Never thought a lure would make me hungry.
Happy Easter to you and your family as well !!!
Happy Easter everyone
Love the Easter egg lures beautiful
I never thought of using a dremel to soften the edges of lips! That’d be so much more convenient than doing it by hand 😩!
Ikr I thought it was really smart that he did that im gonna do that too from now on
New Bridge never lets ya down, love that place

I chucked out loud at you carrying the basket.
Just Amazing. Happy Easter Marling family
My son saw the eggs, knew it was you & immediately requested we watch it!

I died when I saw the Easter basket 😆 NICE TOUCH!!! 😂
Love your video man👍👍👍 I've seen a lot of your stuff you are so talented.
Life is kicking my ass right now. Thanks for a few minutes of much needed distraction 🤙
The classical music is giving me Jeb Gardener vibes and I love it!
Great looking Easter egg lures, regardless of fish interest! Love ‘em!❤❤
Absolutely amazing I love how you used in the hall of a mountain king in the beginning. Please . make a Nile bream lure
If you left the base on one of them you’d have a lovely gift for Mrs. Marling

Can we take a moment to appreciate how good he is at painting egg’s though? Imagine the Christmas cookie decorations he could also likely do! Haha awesome work!
Next Christmas a cookie lure! LET'S GO! Will a large mouth bass enjoy a noni's cookie lure?
Eggs look great man. Have a good Easter.
Brilliant idea! Lol awesome video as always Nate!

Happy Easter!!! Those were really cool and the action was incredible. Definitely have to pull them back out when the bite in on.
Happy Easter to you and your family. I'm gonna have to make some of these!
I enjoyed this video much more than I thought I'd would!
Cutest Tackle-Basket on youtube.. :D
Best opening of any of your videos to date. Hilarious and brilliant.
I like when the fast forward parts kick in… almost sounds like a karate movie! Lmao😂
I would love to give some of these to my wife. She would be so happy😂
Happy Easter from my family to yours. Great work keep it up.
If you put some kind of wing on those and painted it yellow and black, you would have a perfect little bumble bee lure.
You should snag them all and give us an epic Easter egg hunt!
Love your work!!

I absolutely love hearing Hall of the Mountain King to this hectic unfolding events lol.
Happy Easter Nate nice work
I would unironically love to have one of these in a tasty little Bluegill patter, I think that could slay bass round these parts.
Happy Easter to you and yours Mate! Impressive action from an egg. Love the originality too!
Happy Easter to you and the family
Fun! Love the basket box
Love the eggs they turned out good😂!
Great job is all there is to say. Love your vids, Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you and the fam, Nate!!
I like the Caleb Hammer in the background!
Ha those are so funky looking in the thumbnail!! Hahaha 🤣
It's a very interesting action. It's such a violent wobble, yet it's super tight because of how stout the body is. I really dig this build.
What a festive surprise. Now we just need a floppy pink human swim bait in 2023! Let's make it O-FISH-AL!
I would love to see a bluegill version of an Easter egg. Scales, eyes, the blue gill. That would be awesome.
Big fan of your channel! An artist of a different sort...much respect.
I once caught a bass on a red and white bobber and a bare hook. Hell yeah you can get one to eat an Easter egg. 😂😂
Happy Easter!
You should put go pros in your test tank from side and front angles to really see how it looks swimming!
Happy Easter to you all.
I DIDNT KNOW U LISTEN TO THE AVETT BROTHERS, THEY ARE SOOO GOOD!!!!!
I like the choice of background music there; Edvard Grieg/I Dovregubbens Hall!
Maybe add an aquarium filter system to your test tank. Then you'll never have to change the water.
Love the show. Keep it up.
Lovely Easter eggs.
Those look amazing
Happy Easter! I hope you try the eggs out again, when the weather warms up,🙏❤️🙏
The Easter bunny would be proud of your effort
Love to try the rainbow egg for Columbia river steelhead and spring Salmon here in the NW.
