I bought the field journal and pocket journal and I mlust say these are probably my favorite notebooks to date. So much thought went into these and the quality and usability is just outstanding.
I love my Bond Travel Gear cover and journal. I wish the journals were still available!! I think I like the hook on this cover better than the zipper on the one I have. Thanks for the review.
Ahhh, I had no idea about the brand change, haha. I missed the chance to get one of their Travel Journals the last time they were in stock, and I’ve literally had an internet tab for Bond Travel Gear open in my browser for months - checking it at least once a week or so to see if they’d ever have them back!

I find that the last slot can be better protected if the tool roll is folded in thirds. Because I carry mixed items in my roll, this also helps it fit in my backpack better.

Lochby's Field Journal has possibilities. I like my own stationery. It looks like a Circa junior size notebook would fit, either under the loop or just loose.
I subscribed to your channel, too, out of respect for the pen's superiority to the sword. I hear the ATF thought twice before challenging the capabilities of a bespoke fountain pen collection! :-)

10:19 I suspect that middle pocket is the result of measuring out two credit card sized pockets above and below. Sure, it's largely useless but imagine if they just stitched it closed, people would complain about the lack of access to a tiny pocket. Secondly, if they stitched two equal width pockets without the gap credit card sized items would fall out.
The Lochby pocket journal would be ideal for taking notes whilst out wildlife watching.

I love my Field Journal. I think the pen loop is fine, just don’t use a fat fountain pen.

Potentially...but I think it would really depend on the thickness of the notebook.

Unfortunately, it does not. It is too thick, and too wide.

Really stunning, i love waxed canvas and these products seem beyond sturdy! too bad in Europe we don't have them!
Hey, David, I know this doesn't have a ton to do with the review in question, but I have a question I feel you could help me with. I'm trying to spend some money on a pen to try and help out some of my semi-local pen shops, but I'm having trouble deciding. In your opinion, which would you go for out of these options: Edison Collier, Pilot E95s, Pilot Vanishing Point, or the Visconti Mirage? Anyone else can feel free to chime in as well
Personally, I'd go for the VP, then the Edison.
