I just watched it again and it hasn't aged at all . Great movie! And it went on to inspire two fantastic series, Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.🙂👍👍❤️
Fun seeing his character so uncertain and out-of-place here and watching through the series as he becomes a competent member of the team in ll aspects.
Me too, but since i saw Micheal Shanks in the sitcom, iv'e started to crush also.. He's so lovely.... But James is and becomes delicious time after time..!!!!!!
Absolutely enjoyed the compilation! However, I couldn't help but notice that one of my all-time favorite scenes was missing. It's the moment when Daniel finds himself alone, deep in thought, meticulously deciphering the enigmatic symbols on the Stargate. As he listens to his cassette tape, there's a palpable sense of determination mixed with a touch of humor when he concludes with a sigh, 'I'm never gonna get paid.' But then, his perseverance pays off as he unravels the connection-the Orion star constellation! That 'eureka' instant is a gem that truly showcases Daniel's intellectual prowess and dedication. It's such a standout scene that adds depth to his character. Kudos to James Spader for bringing this memorable moment to life!
One of my favorite characters. And I love both James Spader (James was so beautiful back then... not that he isn't now, but he was gorgeous!) and Michael Shanks. Love this movie. Have seen it several times when it was on the Pluto channel. I'm actually binge watching the series (again). I'm obsessed with the movie and the series.
@5:41 "Bunny, Bunny-Way" I used to drive my family crazy saying this back in the day every time I ate a chocolate bar in front of them as they had no idea what it meant/came from XD
Love this!! Daniel Jackson is one of my all time favourite fictional characters. Both in the movie and SG-1, he’s so intelligent and an all round lovely guy. I used to tell my parents I wanted to marry a ‘Daniel Jackson’ 😊
This is my first time seeing James Spader as Daniel. I grew up with Stargate SG-1, so I'm used to Michael Shanks. This compilation made me realize how talented Michael Shanks is because he acts just like Spader in the earlier seasons of the show, and I got this only from the first clip.
My mom used to watched stargate when I was a child. I remember how excited I was when my mom bought me this movie.... I ended up buying all the series and movies with the little money I had as a child and teen XD Still my favourite scifi show.
The show changes quite a bit about the original, so I’d buy a different universe thing. Like the movie basically happened in the TV universe, but corrected for the inconsistencies, like what Daniel’s actual theories were in the film not involving aliens
I bought this movie years ago. I love watching the DVD. That’s why I bought a spare DVD player in case technology changes. I still have one that will work.😂
Did about you know that before of the actor James Spader, originally Rick Moranis was offered to play the role of Dr Daniel Jackson in the movie Stargate of 1994, but turned it down to work on Little Giants and The Flintstones, both films released in 1994, same year than Stargate?
My main interest was the hypergly cript codes which reveal an intention concerning the world. Jack Spader actor decodes the meaning, whilst his entourage couldn't figure it out. This movie had a future theme in it it wasn't just bland, it haves a cause & effect. In fact, at the end Kirt Russell repeats his attics.
such a great concept, i love all stargate , but what struck me was, you solved in 14 days what we couldnt in 2 years they said, yet it was found in 1928 ?
There are things we still need to explain about mysteries of the Holy Creation... it's not a material human the one to .. travel in another time line...but the human soul😮😮😮we do not live a single season if we have memories of previous life such as this kind of "deja-vu" of feeling so familiar in a foreign location of like...I was been there before...a whole universe to be explored...you think about how many more young ones under 30 might enjoy to see these TV shows like brand new😮😮😮
Back when I was 17 years old, I suffered a traumatic brain injury from a car accident and when I began coming out of my coma when the docs asked me basic psych questions like: what's my name, what year was it, where was I... apparently for an hour or two I only responded saying, 'Stargate, Stargate this and Stargate that...' I've loved this move but Close Encounter Of the Third Kind was my most favourable move. Brains are weird and mysterious.
@@SaltandPepperFreak Yes, I know what you mean. Especially when Amazon is in charge. If it were up to MGM it would've been made already but since Amazon bought them out, no StarGate anything!! Ffs! I was invited to a Saudi wedding during Desert Storm. I liked the fish, shrimp, but the goat that was cut in half, including the head was interesting. I skipped it and when for the desert. It was an honor to be invited.
A timeless classic. Do they have star gates? Was this a big psyop to get you used to the idea? Apparently, they went into Iraq and took ancient technologies forget oil.

I've been in love with James Spader since I was 12 and I'm now 58yo. He was fantastic in this role. Great actor.☺️❤️
I fall in love w/ his woman.

James crushed this role. Awesome delivery.
Extremely good looking, highly intelligent, kind heart, daring, innocent... A way too perfect person
This movie is a master piece

I love how the music of the movie stayed with the series. The continuity always awed me.

Super film
I would marry him too lol
And did you?
as you mentioned "fictional"
This takes me back to being young. Amazing film
Love this film. It will become a classic. I see parables within so many to teach. Peace be with you
I love James spader, always have but when I see him in blacklist I still see him as dr. Jackson in stargate. ❤❤❤❤❤

i’m a Stargate and SG-1, SGAtlantis fan ( i’m 66) - never grew up.
I know he is old enough to be my dad (nowadays) but Lord have Mercy JS was so fine in this movie.
James Spader is the king! 👑👑👑💖💖💖
Excellent cast of actors 👏 interesting story ...good special effects = watchable 😊

Wow I love his hair
I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this guy would end up becoming Ultron and Raymond Red Reddington.
When he says “I’m sorry I don’t have enough” you can hear vocal mannerisms that I know from Blacklist.
Oh, don’t forget robert california from the office.
