Harley captures Batman but when Joker finds out she did his work for him and used his own plan, he THROWS HER THROUGH A WINDOW. Batman later escapes and taunts Joker for failing to do what his lover could.
Harley's later found in the hospital where she falls in love again with Joker after he gave her a gift. It makes Harley seem very stupid, but it's hard not to feel bad for how she's abused in a toxic relationship.

Publishers do everything they can to force live service, even when it ruins games, but when they finally land on a super successful one by accident they absolutely botch it lmao
The missing context with Helldivers 2 though is that it is one of 50 live service games that Sony gave funding to that actually came out. Because of those 50 games, over 30 so far have been cancelled before even making it to an announcement trailer. Sony is hurting bad to make their investment back so their trying to milk the one success story for all it's worth.
Helldivers is live service. It's a game that requires a server matchmaking and generating rules and maps.

Sony has announced it will no longer require PSN but countries with no PSN can't buy the game. In fact they added 3 more countries that can't buy the game bringing it to 180

It's legitimately insane how stupid the account decision was. Sony could have just sat back and let this game cook and build for YEARS. The way the games community was growing continuously and the way the game itself was shaping up, it could have been the 10 year game that Destiny originally promised to be.

Except you're assuming that Arrowhead is actually competent enough to even let the game cook and build, which they're proving they're not from a balance standpoint.
Sony was one thing, but AH's handling of the game is something else entirely, and they're not even touching that topic in this video. Sony doing this is nothing compared to what AH is currently doing to the game.
The general understanding from what I saw was that Sony decided to fire this update now in an effort to improve PSN numbers during this quarter's investor meeting, so chances are if you want your reviews to matter in a more constructive way still, it's probably best to leave the negative reviews until the end of the month.
Arrowhead wholeheartedly accepts this chapter in a history of a game. They previously mentioned how much they love how players are creating history and events in the game and they only provide backdrops for it, such as Malevelon Creek events. While it's a big tragedy and will cause permament mark on Arrowhead's history, they will try make best of it.
Hope they manage to run away with their IP and lives(since Sony loves it's Yakuza helpers) and give this game a new life.
I find it funny that people are saying Arrowheads innocent in this when they signed off on all this shit before hand (nevermind their garbage "balance" patches)
Except they go ahead and nerf everything that makes their players good at achieving things in-game.

The best part is, unless I've been misinformed since im an American and not an EU resident, its illegal to sell to only part of the EU and not all of it unless that country has a specific law saying it cant be sold there. So with Sony blocking the sale of Helldivers 2 in the baltics, they could possibly be forced to stop selling in the entirety of the EU.

Arrowhead is not innocent in this. They knew the change was coming but chose to temporarily disable it so they could boost sales.
Also, it’s clear that they knew that people wouldn’t be able to play. if not, why would they feel the need to disable it for more people to be able to play?

Not to mention the guy doing game balance is the same one who was in charge of Hello Neighbor 1 and 2's balance, actually making those games unplayable, the CEO being caught lying during all of this via deleted tweets, and 3/4 of the community mods being toxic and then being fired after all of this.

This past week, with all the news from Sony, Microsoft, and EA, just proves these massive corporations literally have no idea what they are doing and just look at numbers on a spreadsheet. Does not matter if your game is an surprise darling, surprise success, or sells 10 million, you will get shut down, hit with layoffs, or a decision is made that makes it impossible for most of the planet to play it. The numbers MUST go up. If PSN and Gamepass numbers are down, they be afraid because you know the companies are going to pull some stupid shit.
Sony literally has a surprise hit in a GAAS game, and right away too. Do you have any idea how extremely rare that is? This is effectively their first multiplayer success in at least a decade. Even though they have pulled out of the decision now, the damage is done. I am sure several are not coming back to the game and with what they are doing with Ghosts, it has put a bad taste in people's mouths. And knowing Sony has nothing coming out for the next year. I honestly have no idea what Sony is going to do this next fiscal year to boost their numbers. Release a new console with no games?! Microsoft has shit the bed hard, but I honestly think Sony is not far behind them right now.
This year is going to be one of the hardest years in gaming ever and I am terrified with the next few months will bring.

Someone somewhere said that the Helldivers 2 PSN incident, along with the PSN requirement for Ghost of Tsushima PC port multiplayer, is probably a prelude to Sony introducing subscription fees for PC players, a conspiracy theory that I am very keen on agreeing with
How fast the steam reviews plummeted really exemplifies how bad sony truly screwed up, because they didn't just make a bad decision, but completely transmuted all of the goodwill helldivers had been building up into complete and utter hatred.
It's not like the game can't jump back from this (I think positive reviews blew back up a bit after the announcement of the change. But it lies in the heart of the customers if they wanna give something another shot after being screwed over. One thing is for sure though, the game lost its momentum, and that's a shame.

While it was Sony's bad decision that created this issue for players in those countries, they still have every reason to want to sell the game to as many people as possible, especially now that they've reversed their decision. It was in Steam's interest to have the integrity to not sell the game in those regions and to save themselves having to manually give out refunds to all of those players. The devs have even said that they're petitioning to Steam now to have it put back up.

Sony already had issues with Valve when Steam was on the PS3 for some reason. And then Sony went and messed with them again.
One thing missing from this conversation, specifically near the end when talking about the alternative way this could have gone is that the actual REASON Sony was trying to force PSN was so they could moderate the game since Arrowhead never expected this many players and only had 4 moderation staff members.

Moderate what, exactly? It's group PvE where you have a few seconds of invulnerabity while hugging teammates. Griefing is indistingushible from legit play when using Strategems. All DLC is free as far as I know and everyone gets treated equally because Joel cranks the difficulty when he feels like it.

The community has been very good from my experience but the in game moderators have gone on record saying they needed Sony to basically do their job for them on the official discord.
Even if it was for cheating or griefing I haven't experienced any.

MVS is a live service winner from a small studio akin to Helldivers/Arrowhead with a lot of potential, but I fear the worst. Guess time will tell.

I was planning on buying helldivers 2 on my steam wishlist and suddenly region lock on my home country. Still nothing changes, so I will not buying any future sony games. And got rid of my wishlist.

And after it looked like a victory to get this decision reversed, Sony then banned Ghost of Tsushima from being sold in all non-PSN accounts. WTF is wrong with devs this week?

I think Pat's right not to want to play the game anymore. I hadn't bought it yet, still could, don't want to. I can't really trust Arrowhead at this point, since they were knowingly complicit in everything, and even if they weren't Sony will just try it again and again until the players capitulate.
Also, from what I've seen, they keep trying to rebalance the game like its a pvp title, and the devs seem particularly snarky towards their consumer base on twitter and discord. I don't think there's any great loss here. Especially since DRG still exists.
Sony initially wanted psn to be linked. Arrowhead removes the need for it. Sony tells Arrowhead activate the PSN. PC players get angry and say PSN is not available in these countries. Sony delisted the game from those countries. But removed the need for PSN link and people who bought it on said countries can still play it. Moving forward Sony will not sell games in countries that don't have psn. I don't see the problem here.

i've had a psn account for like a bajillion years, but also i don't play helldivers 2, so i'm doubly not involved in this. that said, it legitimately sucks if you live in a country where psn doesn't exist, but i don't understand these people who could make an account pretending like psn is the worst thing ever. it's not Origin :o
In the UK & Ireland, you have to upload a photo to make the account.

Steam is the one who decided to sell the game in territories where psn isn’t supported.
Arrowhead knew about all of it ahead of time and did nothing and let it happen.

They just sell games from said companies and arrowhead and sony failed to restrict the countries and regions and steam was not notified just like how PC players were not notified. Sony saw the success of Helldivers and change the optional PSN and made it a requirement. This was a change of TOS terms and rules which cause the issue and steam was required by law to start refunding and start removing the helldiver on store in most countries because Sony made it a requirement to have PSN which made the game unplayable for most people and steam has to act and refunded many people and remove the game from store because that is the law. You can't sell a game that won't work. It's the law. Arrowhead and Sony was the blame 100%, Steam is just a victim to all the BS and quite frankly If I was steam I would be shocked and disgusted by Sony's behavior and consider Blacklisting them due to broken laws and broken TOS terms and agreements.
@@vexingrabbit1824 because when arrowhead declined not to flip the switch that would have unable the psn requirement from day one because of their server load issues, steam thought it was Sony going back on their requirement of needing it and decided to sell it in all territories without reaching out to confirm it with them.
So yes it is their responsibility as a business to not make such decisions based on assumptions without reaching out to all responsible parties to confirm. It was a lack of communication on their part, and I’d say arrowhead too.
Sony didn’t handle it well after it all blew up either and allowed it to spiral more than it should have too.
That’s why now for all following games like GoT and Ragnarok, they are being much more vocal and upfront about the psn requirement and why they are only being sold to 50 regions world wide to prevent a shit show like we saw with Helldivers 2.
So then that’s not a problem right? A lot of arguments I’ve seen from PC guys when asked why are you ok with other big publishers who require an account to play their games, they would say well it’s ok for them because they told us this would be a requirement from the start.
Which is hilarious to hear them say that not only because we did know this would be required form the start with Helldivers, it was arrow head who didn’t flip the switch and communicate better to replicant parties, but they are also now crying foul about needing it for GoT knowing they would need it now before buying the game.
So I’ll ask again, why is it ok for other big publishers to do this but not Sony with their games?
Arrowhead is trying their best to piece this problem back together, so at least they are taking responsibility. The bigger corpo is always the problem

Sony hold responsibility too, I don’t deny that, and the way they do it is by supporting arrowhead as they venture to fix it.
Steam also hold responsibility in their fk up in this too by not communicating and selling the game where it wasn’t supported based on assumptions.
I just don’t like when the blame is so clearly split amongst the three being placed only onto one while shielding the other guilty parties just because they hold a bias towards one of the three.

It's just that I've seen a few times where when a company or a person moves their base of operation to California they begin to start making horrendous decisions and this situation has been another notch on the list of them with Sony.

VPNs aren't invisible, and Sony can and WILL ban VPN users (it's in the EULA for PSN) if they believe they're using it to falsely represent their country of residence.
