Thank you Mma, your description is much better than the diagrams you normally have to work off and include some that I haven't had to take before but which make perfect sense. Glad I found your channel.
I just come across this video as state learning the trade and I love it, your explanation are simple and understandable, how can I get your previous video as I proceed. Thanks.
Good day ma'am. I have a daughter whose body measurements are .. bust-44. Waist-36. And hip-54. Ive always had problems with her fit. I followed your table and I'm seeing some improvement. Her waist is 18" smaller than her hip and your table stop at above 12" you use a 2" dart.... I'm asking if I can use three darts on either side of her skirt as I'm looking for a neater smoother finish....is there any rule against using three darts on either side of the skirt? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you ma'am for your content..
@@OMASIRICHIWORLU there is a guide for that. We don't measure on person. Bust divided by 6; plus 1.5 for bust circumference less than 46. Afterwards it changes to plus 1. Thanks
Thanks ma for this tutorial...I realized the back width/front width is like taking from armhole to armhole....but when marking it on the pattern,we mark it at the middle of the armhole not the end...why is that?
Thanks so much ma'am, my question is how do one measure a pregnant woman? Where do one use as there new waist? Is it the underburst or the biggest part of there bump? And where do one measure the waist circumference from. Thanks as i await your response
Thanks for commenting. For pregnant women, the measurement parameters remain the same. except the for waist. However, one could still take the round waist at the actual tommy area but that is just a guidance to whatever, one is making since garment sewn at this period is free.
@@laperycollegeoffashion8737 thanks for your response ma, so you mean i should use same/old full front length for her? Not all stylws can be free, what of styles like wrapper gown for a traditional marriage
What I meant is, take the measurement parameters as normal but depending on what you are making, you could still take the round waist and front length( as guidance) In case if wrap dress, let it have joining at under bust while the lower part will have a little freeness to make it comfortable before the wrap is placed on it.

Please ma, this front length, is it at navel point?
@@UDEZEMARYJANE No. It will not get to the navel. That is the reason for tieing the rope around the waist
