So here's the issue with using heavy armor to train martial arts. It lowers your effective level, so that when you land hits, you get more experience than you would be getting otherwise. However, if your level is too low, you're never going to get a hit off, and because of that you end up training a lot slower than you would otherwise. About the heavy armor. Yeah, you get faster experience that way, but I wonder if you could have fought stronger enemies if you used martial arts armor and gained faster xp that way since the stronger they are compared to you the faster you improve. And since weaker enemies travels in larger groups and keeps dodge lock you with massed attacks, perhaps you could have gained faster martial arts by fighting a stronger, but singular, enemy. But fun experiment anyway, and a great watch! Oh, and you should try and maybe at least get some martial arts bindings or some other armor that protects your fists, at least early on, as hitting metal armor and weapon blocks hurts your arm or leg, which is why you so often had trouble with your left leg. At high levels you don't take this damage. Thinking of it, perhaps I would have gone another route with my training; ditch strength training and laboring in the beginning. Higher strenght means you would hit harder and kill your enemies faster (and faster martial arts attack too I believe, which would be useful true), meaning you would fight for shorter amounts of time and gain less xp. The labor gains you money that you strictly don't need as you could survive of looting enemies getting beaten up by the ninja guards. I would strictly focus on dexterity training with Katanas and get really good with it (after getting enough athletics to outrun enemies). Dexterity gives you faster block and dodge speed, meaning less chance of getting dodge locked and thus faster martial arts xp gain once you start training it (but I believe not faster attack speed sadly). Also, if memory serves me right dexterity also adds to martial arts damage. Then I would focus on fighting stronger enemies. Maybe steal their weapons and replace their armor with something softer at first, then when my levels get higher the best armor I can get to make them last longer. Then I would buy some real heavy stuff with stuff and fight with it to gain strength.

Uh oh, he is already into the re-roll phase.. I hope you enjoy Kenshi for a while yet. I noticed when I re-rolled like 2-4 times in a row I fell right off the game.
Good robotic limbs actually have an innate bonus to martial arts damage, too (getting punched with a metal hand hurts a lot more than getting punched with a fleshy one).
Biggest problem with martial arts is that you damage your own limbs. You do get toughness for it though. Mercenary armour offers some fist protection so you can punch for longer. Best armour to train is Crab armour as it gives 100% fist protection and -10 to martial arts
I remember my second Kenshi character. I'd try and knock out a hungry bandit and disarm him to use him as a punching bag. I'd heal him and mine copper while I waited for him to get up. I could usually do this for three ish knock outs before they'd be too beat up. And eventually Id let them keep their weapon so I could train toughness and dodge.
to avoid bandits stealing food put it in a backpack and whenever hungry bandits down you drop your bag, they dont search dropped bags or pickup dropped items
You can prevent bandits from stealing an item when you're unconscious by picking it up with your mouse and holding it like you're going to put it elsewhere in your inventory. They might steal the rest but you can at least hold onto one thing.
Man every time i see one of your kenshi videos in my feed i get so happy. Lets just say my life is not ideal even for the worst of us. But your videos just bring me a nice escape. Thank you so much for just being a fucking cool dude.
Oh god it was so amazing how his MA reached 30 right when he was about to lose and he just wiped that group with the new moves unlocked. It doesn't get any more ANIME than powering up right at the edge of losing.
I am really enjoying the series! One thing I kept saying though, "don't disregard the strength training!" One punch man's main characteristic is how strong he actually is. You should get the character to carry heavy items every now and then to increase his strength to about level 75 or 80. Then his attacks will become more powerful and deadly! Others have already mentioned the dropping food items on the ground so NPC's can't loot it when/if they knock you down. Another thing, going bald was one of the side effects of Saitama's training regiment. You were already enslaved, your character was, however briefly, discovered/seen as a escaped slave (baldness is a characteristic in kenshi). Get stronger please! Looking forward to the next installment.
Some of the mods have hilarious, unintended consequences. Like install the 500+ cap stat mod and get to 500 and your characters muscles turn into balloons. It looks insane.
One punch man's ultimate challenge should be to capture the Bugmaster. Some stealth though will help - just sneak around the back of some bandits and your stealth stat will skyrocket.
Aha, when he hit that level 30 martial arts threshold and started doing flying kicks really changed the tide! Seven-to-ten-punch-and-kick-man is the strongest in the world!
Here’s a tip: if you get knocked out by hungry bandits, pause the game and drop all of your food on the ground. The bandits won’t pick up your food from the ground.
He has a long way to go before he truly becomes One-Punch-Man. Sure, as of now he can probably one-punch Hungry Bandits with the right gear, but Saitama can one-punch basically anything. With how strong some of the foes in Kenshi get, he'll need to pump both strength and martial arts to their maximum. I hope this series continues, I'd love to see that character reach the height of his power.
If you find someone crawling with messed up legs , keep them. They are great for training martial arts. Just best them io as they try crawl away then first aid them and repeat. Best way to get one is to take hungry bandits to some guards
fighting stronger enemies from the getgo lets you raise your stats quickly. So I usually bring Ruka + someone else from the Hub and start my game that way. It goes a lot faster. You can literally imprison stronger bosses and use them as training dummies in the later part of the game to fully train someone up in minutes
I know it may be a bit late to tell you this, but you can kidnap bandits when they are out and heal them, training your medic and then you can beat them up for the grind. Also take your food out of your inventory when a hungry bandit knocks you out
Kind of makes sense the way you’re doing it, saitama got his ass kicked A LOT before actually getting as strong as he is, he’d fight enemies stronger than him and win by almost pure luck sometimes, coming out of fights bloodied and beaten even when he wins
My favorite martial arts start is "slaves". You can load your inventory with shackles for weight, get beat up by guards and they always heal you. Dying isn't impossible, just unlikely because guards heal you. Losing a limb is more likely so some times you'll want to stop being a problem child long enough to let limbs heal up. Only issue is food. You'll need to sneak around to get food, and even then it's rough. If you turn down hunger in settings and/or let the second character starve (so you only need to feed one) you can stay a slave longer, but food is really the gating factor and what will force you to eventually leave. Eventually you don't need to sneak out, you can just Jet Lee the guards and walk out.
A tip for you that atleast worked for me. If it's intended or not is another thing. But to preserve food after being unconscious you can pause and drop all your food and they dont pick it up for some reason. It makes solo playthroughs a lot less annoying
Your Dodge is so high because of your armor it takes away 50% of your dodging skill but that means that you train dodging way faster. I actually think that now you are strong enough to keep the armor. With the armor on leveling to 100 Dodging is like leveling to 50 Dodging meaning it is very fast and possible (because dodging is reduced bye 50%). And if you take of your leg armor off (it gives you +4 Martial arts) you will train martial arts faster (but not as fast as dodging). So keep the armor you really worked for it and now it can help you to become always dodge man.
You should go to Mongrel and fight a lot of fogmen they are very bad but very numerous perfect for leveling. (Just dont lose against them........) Edit: You will be able to one punch them because they only have 50 Hp and you make 61-71 Damage.
@@ambiguousamphibian You need to be careful fighting fogmen the Heavy have 100 HP and the princes 75 but if you loot the princes you will get 6K (they have a head thats 6k worth) and if they knock you unconscious they will take you to a stick and devour you so if your legs are under 75 you should run just to be safe. But there are many fogmen so finding enemys is easy and they literally eat people so its the "good" thing to do. PS: the Normal worker drones are the most common and they have 50 HP so you can one hit them

Anyway, your explanation of stat bars filling and your elation at Dragon Ball stat grinding is just *mwah* the content I am here for.
My favorite anime is back, cant wait for the protagonist to learn how to use a punching ghost and make friends with sociopaths
"You have your hand in the fireman!" -ambiguousamphibian 2020
Uh oh, he is already into the re-roll phase.. I hope you enjoy Kenshi for a while yet. I noticed when I re-rolled like 2-4 times in a row I fell right off the game.
“He’s like Boromir times 10”
Got a good chuckle out of that
Sooo... Sean Bean?
I kinda wanna see how he does with super mecha limbs
That kinda involves losing his current limbs but hey, *details*
Good robotic limbs actually have an innate bonus to martial arts damage, too (getting punched with a metal hand hurts a lot more than getting punched with a fleshy one).
Dang, I might have to go take an acid bath really soon
Youre literally doing the Super Sayian training method... Beat me within a inch of my life and then Ill come back even MORE POWERFUL
When developing melee combat Kenshi forgot about counter attack. So you end up attacking or dodging.
to avoid bandits stealing food put it in a backpack and whenever hungry bandits down you drop your bag, they dont search dropped bags or pickup dropped items
you sould of saved that dust bandit with meds after that epic fistfight he is a worthy opponent!
My favorite part is at 45:58 when saitama is soloing a whole squad and the final bandit goes "AAA please, i stand no chance against all of you!"
You can prevent bandits from stealing an item when you're unconscious by picking it up with your mouse and holding it like you're going to put it elsewhere in your inventory. They might steal the rest but you can at least hold onto one thing.
“I never thought I’d be able to beat goats”
Man every time i see one of your kenshi videos in my feed i get so happy. Lets just say my life is not ideal even for the worst of us. But your videos just bring me a nice escape. Thank you so much for just being a fucking cool dude.
Wow, I legit laughed from the beginning to the end. Every Kenshi vid I watch is like watching, "Kenshi Funniest Moments"!
"Consecutive normal punches."
Oh god it was so amazing how his MA reached 30 right when he was about to lose and he just wiped that group with the new moves unlocked. It doesn't get any more ANIME than powering up right at the edge of losing.
42:34 You sound so proud of him. ITS TOO WHOLESOME.
You got stronger at exactly 30 martial arts. I think this is when he started kick around like crazy 42:55
I am really enjoying the series!
One thing I kept saying though, "don't disregard the strength training!"
One punch man's main characteristic is how strong he actually is.
Hire a skeleton to be Genos, I think it would be cool
La Cavalcante Crumblejon for Bang
don't forget to get martial arts binding and martial arts clothing to get the biggest boost
When that hungry bandit joins in I thought you will be fighting two, but I was wrong both you just went 'fuck off' to that hungry bandit 😂
16:46 dude that's straight up DSP, 100%
"OH BOY 2 AM!"
*eats krabby patty while watching video*
I don't need sleep I need answers
bruh vibe sync (6 am)
I think when you actually want to win at any time you can put your heavy armour off just out of curiousity maybe
I love some of the voices you do makes you sound like father from codename kids next door and timmy's dad from fairly odd parents
"Punch me in the chest. I'm like a very specific masochist." Lol, this was funny as hell.
17:55 That dodge man, awesome.
One punch man's ultimate challenge should be to capture the Bugmaster. Some stealth though will help - just sneak around the back of some bandits and your stealth stat will skyrocket.
he said badass so many times he startled sounding like Owen Willson halfway through.
Only discovered your channel recently - it’s my new favourite. I don’t own Kenshi but the Kenshi content is super entertaining (Rimworld too)!
Aha, when he hit that level 30 martial arts threshold and started doing flying kicks really changed the tide!
Seven-to-ten-punch-and-kick-man is the strongest in the world!
Great way to start the morning. Feelsgood i found this small, comfy channel. Thank you .
Here’s a tip: if you get knocked out by hungry bandits, pause the game and drop all of your food on the ground. The bandits won’t pick up your food from the ground.
Oh that's helpful - thanks!
Awesome montage! Can't wait until ten punch/kick man becomes one punch (changing to martial arts gear might do it). Great content!
These series are great. I believe these are absolutely underrated.
If you find someone crawling with messed up legs , keep them. They are great for training martial arts. Just best them io as they try crawl away then first aid them and repeat. Best way to get one is to take hungry bandits to some guards
Fight Club is literally the top thing on my recommended sidebar to this vid XD
this is incredibly entertaining to watch lol.. 5-7 Kick man? pff you'll get him there
Haha, thanks Joshua! Grateful for your kindness :)
"Can you be good at something when my narrative calls for it?" Lmao.
''cut my head off or something not my leg''
glad to see we have our priorities straight
fighting stronger enemies from the getgo lets you raise your stats quickly. So I usually bring Ruka + someone else from the Hub and start my game that way. It goes a lot faster.
You can literally imprison stronger bosses and use them as training dummies in the later part of the game to fully train someone up in minutes
"Punched a lot man"
Because toughness is your mainstat.
Solo martial artists playthroughs are my absolute favorite.
"you have your hand in the fireman"
Thatswhatshesaid.gif
16:49 That bandit looks like DSP. lmao
I'm here watching this series instead of [OSRS] One Chunk Man because at least this one comes out regularly
(Just dont lose against them........)
Edit: You will be able to one punch them because they only have 50 Hp and you make 61-71 Damage.
Good call Kamo - I've been waiting for my revenge...heheh - and thanks for the confirmation on the armor! I was thinking something similar to this
@@ambiguousamphibian You need to be careful fighting fogmen the Heavy have 100 HP and the princes 75 but if you loot the princes you will get 6K (they have a head thats 6k worth) and if they knock you unconscious they will take you to a stick and devour you so if your legs are under 75 you should run just to be safe. But there are many fogmen so finding enemys is easy and they literally eat people so its the "good" thing to do.
PS: the Normal worker drones are the most common and they have 50 HP so you can one hit them
(if you dont want to fight fogmen i wont cry😃)
if u want fight fogmen....prepare a buddy who can rescue you
