Even capturing a single beak thing broke the game's difficulty. Capturing just a few regular animals is broken. Imagine having this army just to force every nation on its knees
@@grimsgraveyard3598 Not in vanilla / unmodded Kenshi. You can only capture them to be used as a punching bag for training. However, with the Tame Beasties mod, you can capture AND tame them. There is also a mod (I forgot the name unfortunately) that lets you buy domesticated versions of these animals from most of the Hiver villages.
Some notes I couldn’t fit in the video: 1. Animals in Kenshi have an invisible “weapon” equipped which determines their damage. The reason the crab does so much damage despite lower stats is because its weapon has significantly better scaling. Assuming 100 in DEX/STR/MA, the damage would be: -Crab: 198.5 cut; 1.6 blunt -Dog/Raptor: 175.48 cut, 1.6 blunt -Gorillos/King: 16.9 cut, 24.7 blunt 2. The crab and raptor are SLOW. They have less movement speed than a 0 athletics human. 3. Having to carry food was the biggest issue with this run. If you’re going to do this, make sure to have a good pack mule and a way to reliably stock up on food.
I woulda doubled bagged tbh, with a traveler pack full of ration packs which you can get at backpack merchants with ease and weigh the lowest per feeding, which is around 3 meals worth per 1kg and a worn pack make sit 0.5kg per 1 so 2 per 1kg is 6meals, stacked 9x per 2x2 square in the traveler pack, ntm mass hunting which could stack cooked meats in it too vs the thief's backpack, then worn the thief for weight reduction of main gear, with the travelers on quick swap to mass feed animals when they get close to 20% green hunger :D
how about kidnapping some of the faction leaders and make them duel in an arena. It would be cool to see who wins between cat-lon and tin fist or lord phoenix and tengu
Tin fist can solo the entire Cat-lon's army and Cat-lon himself too btw. While Stone Golem is more likely to win over Phoenix. Tengu is just a weaking.
Martial artist is terrible against crowd fighting lol Tinfist would get wiped by Cat-Lon Tinfist would barely get past the Stormthralls (if he does at all), and when he actually gets to Cat-Lon, he would get slammed. Tinfist would already be low on health when he gets to Cat-Lon, he's not going to get anywhere near killing him lol
I really want a mod to raise the max speed of animals past 8mph... but i also dont want to be chased down in the wild by a single crab outracing a Ferrari. You might be able to buy some feedbags for one or more pet and go hunting beal things for foul meat. Hivers and animals eat it, it stacks pretty efficiently in a feedbag, and beak things drop a ton of it.
If you’re not running a solo human, you can just pick them up for traveling and throw them down like a Pokémon when you enter a fight. And yeah, if I was smart enough to pick up a trader backpack or install an animal pack mod, I think you’re right that hunting is the way to go.
I'm sad there aren't more fights like King in Kenshi. The first time seeing him was terrifying and it elevated the southern hive far beyond most endgame areas in my eyes.

Have you ever tried building a pacifist base in vain, utilizing the acid river to do 100% of the damage it’d also be fun just to build in weird base locations or spots picked for there defensive or high ground value rather than there fertile or resources
Whatcha mean? A decently trained group of like 8 guys could stomp the ending fight. This is far more effort than just getting a crew together to kill Cat-Lon.

I assume that you can't tame the bigger things without a mod only bone dogs and those pack animal cow things.

It is over 8mph your animals probably have broken limbs coz mine run at 28-31
Download the we mod trainer and raise your athletics above 100 to reach your desired mph
You could kidnap the Bug Master, and bring him to Cat Lon's base for the final battle. Maybe see some revealing dialogue?
Unfortunately, there is no special dialogue in vanilla and Bugmaster can’t really put up a fight vs. Cat-lon.

you could make a slave only playthrough where you start in a slave town and have to escape and you can only recruit other slaves by breaking them out
