I'm loving the beach series. Keep it up! We're on the Horizon in December on the Southern Caribbean then we get off and go on a Western Caribbean that goes to Ocho Rios. It will be our first time at Ocho Rios. I'd love to see other types of excursions too. No one explains them like you do, most other vloggers are vlogging type videos and not informational. Thank you for including pricing and directions.

@@ILikeCruiseShips guess what we went and walked to the beach. Yes $3 entry no. But we missed the little sign showing the direction to the private walkway to it and went the long way. No problem except saying no constantly to taxi rides and offers to sell us almost everything. Oh well we got there.
We really enjoyed this beach. Be warned there will be "waiters" that setup your chairs and umbrellas. They will so run for drinks, beer, local food and other things should you choose to partake. They will mark everything up 3X and expect gratuities. Example: beer is $5.65 a six pack for Red Stripe you will pay $20. The food is $5.50 for jerk chicken, beans and rice they will charge you $15. All items can be bought right outside the gate which you have access to walk back and forth in and out of the gate. We did have a great time with the locals who were very friendly and the beach is clean. Well worth going.
There is food.outside supermarkets also if you want drinks or foods they are people who will gladly go for you also drinks it's a ver friendly beach and place enjoy blessings
@Joan Muschette Thanks for the extra information. I have been to 2 different supermarkets very close by this beach. lots of stuff to pick up there. even cheaper coffee and spices.
Awesome vid, this gets to show us what to expect..From vids i watch, they say jamaica is one of the top 3 unsafest places to go while crusin.., this doesnt look to interesting here, and the people seem kind rude!!
Do you have any suggestions for ground transportation to Dunn’s River/Blue Hole? We have nailed down everything from grand cayman and Cozumel but can’t find reliable information for ocho rios
Of course like in any city or town always be aware of your surroundings. You can always walk back the same way to the ship. As you can see from the video is very close.
thank you so much for all the information you post. I will be cruising on Carnvial and will be visiting Ocho Rios for the 1st time and I am a budget conscious person, however love to explore out of the box. The beach tips you give are awesome.

There definitely pushy I would say. I am sure it's a different experience if you took a land based holiday there. And were there on non ship days.

Their isnt a bar on this beach, as it's a public beach.
There used to be, way back in 1990 Abdul had the best beach bar there!
